3 playoff runs in 5 years. Made it to the AFC championship 2 years ago. The Bills last 5 seasons have been 6-10, 6-10, 9-7, 8-8, 7-9. Bills are killing it?

It depends on who you are talking to. Some folks believe Whaley was the driving force in the 2013 offseason as reported, others do not.

My ideal Bills team is one that's trendy to pick as a dark house playoff contender in the offseason, who gets on a hot streak early, followed by national media "Yes, the Bills are for real," headlines, followed by dropping a few soul crushing losses to beatable teams necessary to coast into the postseason, and ending the season with a "if everything breaks our way (and it assuredly will), we just need to beat X (and we assuredly won't) and we're in" game, that this whole team rolls overs and dies in because they have the collective toughness of a elementary school kickball team. That's my ideal Buffalo Bills team after 17 years. Thank you OBD and may I please have another?

That whole draft is crazy, but AJ would be suffering like Sammy here. The rest over Dareus is a hindsight move. That whole draft was freakish. Not sure how you can say it was obvious to take Dareus at 3 then say he screwed up by not taking another player at 3. Sheppard for Hughes was still an awesome move. He had gaffes but sucked?

Huh? Hughes, Dareus, Woods, Kiko(McCoy), Gilmore, Glenn, Wood, Mario, AW, Searcy were all great or good moves.

Just a brutal attempt at humor and/or condescension. I bet you drink Bud Light. Right. And while the points scored numbers are very nice, extending drives, 3rd down conversions, 4Q comebacks and game winning drives are none of his forte. And all of those things are important too. So why not dump him and get someone better at all of those things, who can still put up as many total TD's as Tyrod?

I'm responding to the points made to me. The argument is that if the offense puts up top 10 points, there is no need to upgrade with the offense. No need to upgrade TT because we're top 10 in points. By that logic, no need to upgrade Mills. Or Goodwin. Top 10 in points. How much better are we going to be with a better WR or RT? Not really much. So don't get anyone there.

TT was worse across the board. If he had 2015 McCoy instead of 2016 McCoy, this offense would've been middle of the pack at best. He got saved by his RB's career resurgence. Just because the offense scored a good amount of points does not mean every offensive player is good. Is Mills good? Should we stay with Mills? What about our bums at WR? Roll with Hunter and Goodwin because we were top 10 in points? No. I reject the notion that when a unit has a decent year, every single player must also be good.

Because the Pegulas took years to make a single good decision with the Sabres and they seem keen on repeating the feat with the Bills. I don't hate them, though. I just think they are bad owners.

There's been half a dozen options posted in this thread. Do you suffer selective blindness? Around the same as last year.

We already fired the entire defensive coaching staff! There's nothing left to talk about in that regard. It's obvious they sucked. End of story. We talk about the offense because some folks think it was "good enough" and some don't. We don't talk about the defense because 99% of posters know it SUCKED. The defense got screwed by ST returns to the 50 and no one cuts them slack. Get it done. No excuses.

Kyle Williams forced a huge sack on third down to give TT the ball for a GWD. How is that any different from Miami?

Does their job by not losing a lead? What defense are we talking here, 86 Bears? Sometimes we'll lose leads. It's a fact of today's NFL. TT has proven he can't reclaim them.

I'm not giving the defense a pass. But there were big moments when the offense, namely TT, choked. Kirby asked if being 7th in scoring points means the offense is fine. When TT had the ball in his hands in his last 20 games , he couldn't score when it mattered most. 1 game winning drive in 2 seasons is pretty indicative of a QB problem. Combined with the terrible 2 min offense, no gaudy team stay can prove TT doesn't have issues.
