  1. There's the classic one! I was looking for that when I came up with the other scam bait site...Some classic photos there!
  2. Plenty of scam baiters out here. This site: http://www.419eater.com/ is a pretty good one. The classic around these parts is Captain McGillicuddy: http://www.captainmcgillicuddy.com/Mcgillicuddy/Savimbi.asp Different type of same, but got him good: http://www.p-p-p-powerbook.com/
  3. Here's a lesson to dads out there: If you're going to let your daughter use your computer you should log off the Wall first.
  4. Hmm, yeah, his legs look crossed. Must be he just threw the ball...
  5. Playing with turf toe, especially for a running back, is completely impractical. Big toe's a point of balance, turf toe screws up that balance. Running with turf toe can dislocate it. You can do stuff once it has healed to a degree with inserts, but you risk aggravating it.
  6. It's him. I'm still wondering what kind of devastating injury could they be hiding on a player who was able to dress in NFL gear (not exactly loose-fitting sweats), participate in stretching, and jog off the field?
  7. Well, at least they'll still accept a girl with a forked tongue...
  8. You mean Mike-Mayer? I thought I remembered that many were saying that Anderson was dogging it on purpose because he didn't want to be in Buffalo...
  9. Well, if you want to talk about players that whined (and slacked) their way off the Bills squad you'd have to mention Gary Anderson. I know, I know, he was cut...
  10. Parker and Ziegler went to a Super Bowl with the Giants...can't remember the exact circumstances of their departure...
  11. Big Ted did pretty well, though performance-wise it's hard to argue he did "better." Antowain did well enough as starting RB to help win two rings...though he was still average as a back.
  12. #4 If we leave now we can get a good place in line for the $50 laptops!
  13. Well if that were the case then I would imagine Darrick probably spit on their burgers while making them...
  14. "Excuse me. May I go to the bathroom first?"
  15. I heard that TD was seen at McDonald's last night and he didn't come out with a Happy Meal....
  16. Trust me, you do not have to lecture me on the cost effectiveness of wind farms. Not with the potential of 40 450' heavily subsidized towers going up in my little farm town. I was primarily referring to personal on-site renewable energy sources, like the homes being pre-built with solar arrays in California...it would not take much to power the charger needed...
  17. Well, the difference is the electricity is subsidized, as opposed to the gas industry, so it's effectively much lighter on the consumer pocketbook from an economic standpoint. After all, the .25 they quote for an overnight charge is a small price to pay to get 5x the mileage, or even 20-30 mpg more. And there's nothing to prevent someone from building a charging station that is powered by alternate, renewable means (it's not a lot of power...)...of course then you're still talking about the cost of the conversion kit + your "recharge station" but if, for example, your house is "green" anyway (powered in part or in full by renewable energy) as many new homes in California for instance are, then that certainly alters the cost/benefit analysis.
  18. Forget Solar power, we can power the world with beer drinkers! Waiting for the first "Urinal Generator" to show up at the local tavern...heck, I betcha with each home game the Ralph could power Buffalo for a week!
  19. What I heard is he put the paper in front of TO saying that he was asked for an autograph from little Timmy in the hospital. Now who wouldn't sign something for little Timmy?
  20. Yeah, sure, say that about every player and eventually you'll be right on at least one. Congrats, Mr. Blind Squirrel. Hope you're proud....
  21. Here are a couple of thoughts to consider: 1.) When have teams cut a star player 1 year into a long-term deal, even when said player stunk up the joint? It rarely happens because of the cap hits the teams would take. 2.) When have teams cut a player after he played "somewhat worse" than expected? When they are cut it is when they grossly underperform for their salary. Again, there are salary cap implications on such moves, so teams look for ways to avoid cutting players who fall short of expectations. Would they have cut him if he came in and ended last season #2 in yardage and TD's? No. That goes the other way as well. After spending the time balancing a contract over 7 years to ensure that it would fit into their salary cap structure for the next 5, they are not going to rejigger the numbers unless a player's performance well exceeds expectations. No matter what way you cut it, TO was given top 5 money in his contract. He came in feeling he was the #1 receiver in the league, and signed a contract that he felt was fitting him. They signed him figuring a top received would be the missing key to help them get over the hump and into the Super Bowl. He came in and put in a season that was on par with his best seasons in San Fran, which, to me, meets the expectations from both sides, and may even exceed them by a marginal percentage. But the performance, IMO, did not substantially exceed the expectations set at the point the contract was signed, and so no renegotation. He had an "average TO" season, why reward him when you were already paying to get "average TO?"
  22. fag. If Spikes and Fletcher combine for 550 tackles, then I hope the rest of the D doesn't get any tackles, because that's already allowing the opposing offense over 34 plays per game....
  23. Travis Brown was looking pretty good on Saturday...wonder what the Colts would want for him...?
  24. Oh, now I can see why you regret not taking your camera... As far as Dorenbos' future (as someone questioned), any time you can replace a 'specialty' position with a backup already on the roster, you do it so you can spend the roster position elsewhere. Besides that, the long snapper needs a backup too...plenty of reasons to try Preston at long snapper.
