  1. Yeah, cause drafting fat guys at #4 overall always work.
  2. Here's a good article for those questioning Butler's character because of just one play. This came out the week after that game..... http://www.roanoke.com/sports/mcfarling/wb/wb/xp-35952
  3. Is that the one who had the heart transplant?
  4. The only way I know hockey exists is on this board.
  5. The funny thing about his post is he criticizes the draft, then BOOM, there's his mock draft in big bold print! Watson in the second?
  6. Because those are your rankings, different than the rankings our scouts put together for our system.
  7. That doesn't make sense. So let's say Whitner comes in, plays great, becomes the face of our defense and leader, gets to a pro bowl, does everything we ask of him, but he's not quite in the Ronnie Lott(Who was the best safety ever) mold, but more in the Mike Brown type. Are you saying he won't be good enough because we drafted him #8? If he's anything like the above mentioned guys and holds his own, I don't think anyone would give a crap where he was drafted.
  8. Yep, he also said Andre Ware was gonna be an all pro for years. He hated the Bengals "reaching" on Levi Jones, and gave the Colts hell for taking Faulk and Alberts when they could have used the all world Trent Dilfer.
  9. I'll take it concidering Kiper seems to have some sort of Nostradamus power or something. I wonder if he has the powerball numbers too.
  10. I want to respond to this badly, but it will be just a waste of time because uninformed people like you who needs someone to tell them what to think, will never understand it anyways.
  11. I hear he's good, but the only memory I have of the guy was when ESPN tried to put him into the "bruschi" spotlight during the Peach Bowl against LSU. Talking about how great he was, but he was completely shut down.
  12. On talent alone, I give it an A. On draft value, I give it a B. After reading reports, it leads me to believe that Whitner would have indeed been gone by the 15th pick, so if this is our guy, then a trade down would have been pointless. I think Whitner will be great. The only one i'm still wondering about is trading up and taking McCargo so high, but there are reports that the Giants were set to take him at #32, so who knows. The next best DT wasn't taken until 40+ picks later, so maybe it could have been a good move even though 26 was a little high for McCargo. He's not a bad Dlineman though. After these two picks, everyone was ready to hang themselves, but the Bills found a steal in round 3 with Youboty. It kinda balanced off day one. IMO, the Bills may have found the best value in the whole league with finding Ko Simpson in round 4. I'm very high on this kid and think he will be a player. You all will be very surprised to see that Kyle Williams isn't anything like Tim Anderson or Justin Bannan. You want someone who can destroy a center at the point of attack, that's Williams. He has great persuit and is very quick. While Butler seems like an ass, i'm just glad he's on our side. From interviews, he reminds me alot of what i've seen from Kyle Turley all those years in New Orleans. All indications are he could develop into a solid starting tackle in 2 years. I think Ellison very another very good value pick. He's a little on the light side for an NFL LB, so he will need to bulk up a bit. He's a project in work, who is fast and could rush the passer from the outside. Pennington and Mertz are both mauler type olineman who can beat up the guy in front of them. Both need work on technique, but both are very smart and have potential.
  13. i'm sorry mel kiper, but you said that i was the worst draft pick by Green Bay in 1995 and i think i've had a pretty productive career, so dont be so quick to bash the "little guys"
  14. http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/prospects?rank_type=2 find the players and click on the cameras
  15. heh, that's interesting, i've watched both days and seen one under armour commercial with kids on a bus, is that the one? They only showed it one time, right before the draft started.
  16. I must be getting different commercials down here, which one are you talking about?
  17. Here's the video of Butler throwing a cheap shot at MK. http://mknx.com/v/butler.zip
  18. I'd pay good money for him to kick Jaws and Wingo's ass right now. He can kick Clayton and Morts ass to warm up.
  19. I agree. The only questionable move was trading up to take McCargo. The Whitner pick, while it was a little bit of a reach, was a solid pick. He will be a player in the NFL. Youboty was a steal in the 3rd, and day two has shaped up very nicely with Simpson and Williams, both excellent picks.
  20. I remember seeing a clip of this. I remember thinking "what an idiot!" Now I gotta hope he can fill a hole in our oline!
  21. Williams was better than Wroten at LSU, just Wroten looks more like an NFL DT than Kyle.
  22. Hell Yeah!! Awesome pickup to start day two!
