Wondering at what point they start questioning what affect getting paid has had on him. Some guys mail it in, are unfocused and/or unmotivated after getting that huge payday.

I find that hard to believe. I specifically remember him making a tackle 10 yards downfield. So for that math to work, that's a minus 10 and they have his average depth at plus 6, so the other 5 tackles would have had to been TFL of minus 3 each on average. Didn't happen, so they must not have counted the tackle 10 yards downfield, which makes their analysis dubious. 🤣That was Benford!

2022 wasn't so bad

The money is guaranteed this year and next. Considering achilles recovery is what, 12 months? It would make sense for him to rehab while taking advantage of all the benefits that go along with NFL medical attention and oversight while also collecting the second half of that guarantee.

The $75mm is Guaranteed, whether he plays or not. Just not sure what the cap impacts are if he doesn’t come back, as you suggest. When you sign a player with huge guaranteed money, the team takes on that risk. Don’t see any player giving back money guaranteed in their contract.

I read he was guaranteed $75mm over this year and next, but I’m no cap guru.
