  1. I just read John Kryk's article. Again, kudos to him for being so informative. One thing that he re-confirmed is that the Pegulas' bid was $1.3B: "Two sources said Pegula indeed bid about $1.3 billion." Presuming that is correct (and I have no reason to disbelieve John Kryk who appears to be plugged in), Morgan Stanley already has a bid on the table that exceeds what I recall Stephen Ross paid for the Dolphins AND their stadium. Morgan Stanley should declare the Pegulas the winning bidders and let them move on to the NFL approval process. This is ridiculous. JBJ and his group should be out. Stick a fork in their bid.
  2. That also would seem to prevent Tannenbaum and Rogers from going to their families and companies for additional money.
  3. Perhaps the best article we have seen thus far from Tim Graham (or anyone connected to the Buffalo News). Kudos to Tim. So far, John Kryk and John Wawrow have been the ones breaking news on this. I wonder if JBJ also breached the non-disclosure agreement by speaking with people from the NFL this past weekend. I really hope that the Trust recognizes all of this as a breach and does not advance JBJ to the next round. His group (reportedly) did not submit the highest initial bid or is able to meet or exceed what the Pegulas (reportedly) put on the table already. I hope the Trust realizes they it can do what is right and sell the team to the people who everyone wants to see buy the team and, in the process, make an absolute fortune and be heroes in the Buffalo community and among Bills fans forever. If the Trust (and Morgan Stanley) decides to waive this breach (in addition to extending the "soft" deadline) and ends up selling to JBJ or others who are not fully committed to Buffalo and Western New York, I think my head is going to explode. Just my two cents.
  4. The article is completely counterintuitive. Using the guy's "logic," JBJ and his partners should drop out - not the Pegulas.
  5. I thought so too until I read about Texas A&M.
  6. Totally agree with. Marrone "obviously" should be there with his team for many reasons. Maybe, they will show up. Yet, when he was asked about this the other day, it did not sound that way.
  7. I read a few pages ago this morning that someone suggested that the trust may be concerned that Pegulas might clean house. I do not have time to read all of the pages in between, but I presume (perhaps incorrectly) that it should be obvious to the trust and everyone here: THE PEGULAS DID NOT CLEAN HOUSE WITH THE SABRES. The Pegulas were loyal to a fault (in some people's view). You may recall that the day before they took over, Sullivan wrote an article saying that the first thing that they should do is fire Darcy. Obviously, they did not. No one - not the trust, not the Bills management - should be worried that the Pegulas would rashly clean house based on their track record. Just my two cents.
  8. Buffalo . . . there is no other place for the Bills!
  9. That is one reason why you are one of my favorite guys on this board.
  10. The fans will not be booing. They will just be chanting: PegUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUla
  11. If the JBJ group tries to make Rogers or Tannenbaum the lead partner, I have to believe it creates an even worse (than it already is) situation for that group (better for us) re the lease language. The trustees can elect to have a smooth transaction with the Pegulas where they receive the most ever paid for an NFL franchise and be hailed as heroes or they can sell to carpetbaggers and have all the anger and resentment directed to JBJ transferred to them. I continue to believe that Mary Wilson and the other trustees will do the right thing as well as honor Ralph's memory and legacy - and in the process receive an absolute fortune on a 25k initial investment. Just my two cents.
  12. John Kryk usually makes me feel better. http://blogs.canoe.ca/krykslants/nfl/mystery-surrounds-status-of-toronto-bid-as-names-of-other-finalists-learned-in-bills-sale/
  13. If reports are true, the bids exceeded the highest amount ever paid for an NFL team. In fact, if I recall correctly, the $1.1 billion paid for the Dolphins also included their stadium. There is no reason to extend a deadline. That is why they call it a deadline. I know they get to make up the rules, but how much money can one spend in one's lifetime?
  14. Me too - with JBJ on the outside looking in.
  15. Yes. Also, if JBJ is not the controlling owner, Jerry Jones would have to determine whether he respects the MLSE people as much as JBJ as fathers, husbands etc.
  16. So essentially, what he is saying is that he does not know. Presumably, a source told him it was not $1.3. Even if that source is correct (big if), it could easily mean that the bid was $1.299 or $1.31 or any other number. He THINKS it was lower. That is all. Keep in mind, wasn't it Graham who did the "reporting" on the training staff.
  17. Why is it that I think that the Buffalo News (or at least their sports department) always tries to see the dark cloud in the silver lining? Why is it that Bucky Gleason's articles always seem to re-litigate past grievances that he has? These are rhetorical questions. In my view, it is not surprising that the most useful information that we get on this subject seems to always come from John Wawrow, John Kryk, or some other reporter or news outlet that does not have "Buffalo News" on the masthead. I actually like Graham much of the time, but he is really annoying me on this. Gleason, Sullivan, and Harrington (for that matter)are like a car crash. Sometimes you have to look, but you always feel bad about it afterword.
  18. I found this on sound cloud: https://soundcloud.c...watch-ej-manuel https://soundcloud.c...laying-physical https://soundcloud.com/siriusxmnfl/bills-rb-cj-spiller-discussed-playing-in-no-huddle-offense-passing-of-ralph-wilson
  19. This just in, the NFL has suspended OJ for two games for some incident that happened in LA some years ago.
  20. As I mentioned in another post, I do not think for a moment that Mary Wilson (or the other trustees) are going to rip our hearts out given the money that the Pegulas already have put on the table. That would be contrary to what I believe the kind of people they are and go against what I have to believe Ralph's intent or preference was (either written or unwritten). As an aside, the Sabres v. Maple Leafs games are going to be even more intense than they have ever been.
  21. Couldn't the NFL have suspended him for a game last year when Kiko was starting and it did not make any difference?!?! The NFL can make it up to us by approving the Pegulas now.
  22. Thanks. I appreciate it. I love Buffalo and the Buffalo Bills. It is part of my DNA. I have so many memories of going to games as a kid with my family. The Bills and the Sabres are part of who I am. When my Dad died, I absolutely could not give up the season tickets. My wife does not understand any of this. I suppose it is a Buffalo thing. As an aside, I was thinking about something that Daniel Day-Lewis said after playing Abraham Lincoln. He said "I never, ever felt that depth of love for another human being that I never met. And that's, I think, probably the effect that Lincoln has on most people that take the time to discover him...." I know that Kim and Terry Pegula are not Abraham Lincoln. Nevertheless, I never imagined that I could feel the way I do about the anyone (in this case the Pegulas) even though I have never met them. I could never thank them enough for what they have done for us and all of us that love Buffalo, the Buffalo Bills, and the Buffalo Sabres. Kirby, I also want to thank you for being such a great member of this Buffalo Bills community and all of your good information, insight, and opinions.
  23. Agreed. I live in Miami also and have continued to keep season tickets for various reasons - not the least of which is to show that BUFFALO Bills fans support the BUFFALO Bills.
  24. Let's show them how classy we are and how important BUFFALO is to the NFL.
