  1. You call someone with an opinion different than yours a unprovoked Attack? When you write hogwash and some one questions it or has a differing opinion it's an attack? Man, sorry I hurt your feelings, and will never question you again. My Bad Yoda.
  2. Merriman is finished. TO will play for vet minimum and still a threat, considering the scrubs we field not named SJ. The quarterback problem is not part of this since Gailey is taking him down with the ship. The sooner the better. Also, this thread like most lately is a fan forums daydream. I'm just playing along. Stay classy my little friend.
  3. As much as it pains me to say this. I would prefer TO over meriman
  4. His NFL career is over. Only the Bills and Merriman haven't figured it out yet. Mario is now hot? Wow! Obviously he likes Buffalo, no one else would even give him a sniff.
  5. Hackman is a better coach too no doubt!
  6. If not way better than greer. The kid looked very good in pre season and was a ball hawk. If this kid becomes a good/great one, it will sway my opinion just a bit on Nix's ability to draft and put a defensive squad together. Aaron Williams is a depth player in the end.
  7. This Powell roster spot is a glaring example of terrible head coaching. When a team has as many holes as the Bills It's a waste. Is there any wonder that yet another season is flushed because of terrible front office staff. Maybe they're keeping him because they know they will not compete for the prize. Which BTW is a major goal of any franchise that is successful year in and year out. Some will be ecstatic here with 8-8. Not me. There are other roster spots with questionable players. I'll give Ruvell Martin as a example. A dumpster dive player, on a team with more than their fair share of players that wouldn't even be in the league, His special teams play is barely adequate. if not for Nix/Gailey a lot of these guys would be bagging grocery's by now. I won't even go to the quarterback position in which we have 3 plus a clown named B Smith. Some of our roster moves remind me of college coaching mentality, where the rosters are larger, players are kept for any number of reasons. The pro game is ultra competitive. People like Bellicheck, and others know the high value of a roster spot. They don't sign quarterbacks then stash them as inactive. You cannot win championships that way. Rant over.
  8. Can't argue with that. Including your examples, I saw it with myself and my kids constantly.
  9. My comments were in regard to a comparison of music and football practice in your post. Nowhere did i make any comment about "improvements in my life at a steady rate"? Again I was replying to practice and I still maintain I'm correct. Improvement is a linear function with practice in music, that includes professional, college, conservatory, whatever type of skilled qualified training. Unless you're referring to a kid doodling with a guitar in a room with zero musical training. Then yea sometimes some huge leaps are made. I do not believe you meant that, in fact I'm sure of it. I notice an uncanny ability to dodge the topic you're being challenged on, then reply with more gibberish to deflect criticism. I predict a solid career in politics for you, if you want it. I should not have challenged. In hindsight it was foolish, and a waste of time for both of us . But, because some of your poor analogy just happens to involve something I'm very close to in my life I did. But, like you say. Whatever.
  10. Well add Dick Lebeau, Fewell, and some others to the ring list. But, what Is the point? Wannabe isn't getting the job done here. Maybe he can go to the Eagles next year and win one there. I for one would prefer he did. Just get him out of here.
  11. I'd rather have bacon donuts any day.
  12. You said bringing in someone else in to learn the system. Other than merriman spending a FEW weeks in training camp while a NEW system was being installed, what exactly does he know here? He has done squat as a Bill, except collect outrageous checks. I expect the same from him. Nothing. He will be gone when Anderson is back.
  13. Wanny has history. Ancient history, recently every job he's been fired from college to pros. He is and will remain a NFL has been. Can anyone believe ha can turn this disaster around? I'll wait for what he has up his sleeve for Houston and the pats* to see what if anything he can do. The Titans are another story.
  14. Second that motion and call for a vote. He wouldn't come cheap and turned down the Bucs. he is NFL ready, and has now proven he can also coach and build a defense. Besides his off the charts offenses. Buffalo would probably be his 32nd NFL choice but money can change that.
  15. I can here a NFL exec saying: Their music is not part of our demographic, and the're a little scary. Of course previous acts like U2, Stones, The Who, Prince,McCartney at one time would have got the same NFL cold shoulder. For the NFL image and of course outrageous profit is all that matters,
  16. True about the Keys. But, this year they moved to arenas. Not because they wanted to but because of demand. Arbaugh's guitar sound is plastered on a lot of tv commercials, if not their music itself. I agree on the global popularity though. Still one of the most rocking bands out there, and far from a new band to their faithful. They would simply blow the roof off, and wouldn't crap their drawers doing it. Beyonce play's to the wow look at the hot chick crowd, and well chicks. Musically nothing too see though.
  17. He's having a great ST year. That said I still would take Terrance McGee in his prime. I doubt McKelvin is here if Harris pans out. Unless he is very realistic in his new contract demands. Somehow I feel he will want big bucks. teams just don't lay out that, for special teamers. He's still IMO a liability in coverage, the main reason he was drafted for.
  18. Settle for something in the middle like Marlyin Manson.
  19. A-Rods window is closing fast. Soon all he will have left is his hundreds of millions of dollars. Get em while you can.
  20. Cowher as noted was surrounded by a top notch FO. Plus, I believe he has made his position clear on Buffalo. His wife's passing aside I don't see him here and, he would want total control. That in itself Ralph would never allow.
  21. So TJ isn't capable of throwing 150 yards for a game? I just cannot wrap my head around that theory. That it could be worse without Fitz starting. The playbook is just an excuse of an old coach who is on the fast track to senility. Sometimes it appears Gailey doesn't know the playbook.
  22. The nip slip and last year the finger, forces the league to play it conservative. Good news we don't have to watch it this year. What's wrong with the Black Keys? They would blow the roof off the joint.
  23. Nope never said you're untruthful. What I was leaning towards is your statement and analogy is totally wrong and flawed regarding practice in music. Then using that to compare sports practicing. Apples to oranges. Studying a instrument nothing really changes, it is theory( and yes technique). In sports it does change, evolve, etc. constantly. My skepticism is based on my education, personal and professional experience, of which I won't post on a sometimes hostile anonymous sports board to get skewered.I simply don't care for listing a short resume like you. Your original post was in regards to practice and music read it again. If you've been published on this topic, I will read it. otherwise like mine it's simply an opinion based on nothing but personal experiences, opinion, and education. Remember the saying Practice makes perfect? That's what many teachers, players, students live by, for a very long time now. It is a linear function regarding learning and practicing MUSIC IMO. Comparing it too sports is somewhat if not an impossible analogy. I'll stop here because writing a paper on the argument isn't needed on a football forum. That's what it would take. Organized sports, past high school I'm no expert. So, I cannot speak on with any authority based on my experience. As for music I can, and simply disagree with again your analogy using musical training and practice then comparing it to sports practicing That's what I was pointing out. If your just using your college experiences then great. If you're now a professional musician, and a professional athlete. Then maybe you're correct and have the experience to correctly make the original analogy, and comparisons. I only have one of the two. I should have stayed out of this, but I simply find zero correlation between sports and musical practicing. Hey that's me.
  24. I wonder just what qualifies you to make such statements regarding of all things musicians? you are sadly mistaken especially in regards to " in other words, improvement is not always linear and not always in direct proportion to how much you practice". What are ya talking about here learning to tune a Bassoon? Surely, you're not speaking of improvement involving a professional musician or artist for that matter in regards to practice? But, I would love to hear your "source" or experience to back this. Or maybe admit you took a little too much "artistic license" to post that as fact.
