At least George has his modeling career to fall back on. I wonder if he could be a wideout? -

Are we seriously going to let Levitre walk?
Best Player Available replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
here's a line of thinking that may not only have merit. But has a strong probability of being dead on. The stud WR is a good idea. Are the bills that forward thinking though? I doubt it, 53 years of this crap are evidence. Without Polian the Bills would possibly in year 28 of no playoffs. Levitre first. An above average guard thank can swing to tackle in a emergency (center not so much). Some have Levitre not even in the top ten free agents (all positions) this year. That too is most likely an accurate grade. Now add JB who is on record saying he is sick of losing. Byrd has had a new DC 3times and now if he (is forced to stay) his 3rd HC and what his 4th DC? Some mention a hometown discount. Put both Byrd and Levitre in a class of players that money isn't everything. But in the case of a severely mismanaged franchise they may be looking for more $$$$ to stick around and find out yet again (hopefully not) That there about to sit in football hell for 5 more years (the primes of their football careers) if the new regime is like the last 2 they have played on. Only money eases that type of pain because those 2 players would in effect become simply football whores playing for the checks. They don't want too but that possibility exists. If this scenario plays out then yes Levitre and Byrd will want big bucks. No hometown discount when other dare I say mediocre players have very rich contracts. The DE position is a good example of that. If Marrone is calling any Bills players chances are he is on a full tilt recruiting mode with them. he has to, they have options, and big time leverage. Losing Levitre is not the end of the world, If he doesn't sign before free agency, he is gone to a contender. I doubt either will join poz in Jacksonville. Byrd could at last play for a DC with a 21st century track record if he wants. That could persuade him. If not the tag money wise is reasonable and buys his services for a year. I wish Nix didn't grandstand in 2012 and stick the Bills with a 50 million guarantee with Mario. Because although they have some money around. That mammoth contract on a consistent 6-10 team is a huge anchor. It was a stupid move by a GM in way over his head. To some it was as much of a marketing move as it was to shore up a pathetic D-Line. -
Bills contact Fitz to Restructure

Valid point. To be clear, based on Brandons 5 minute "talk" on 1/1/13, in which NO press were allowed. I believe no one outside of the inner circle on OBD has a clue. Those clowns may not have a clue either. That purposely muddy "vision" to me says nothing has changed on OBD. Fire NIx, then Brandon. -

regarding Gronk. His extension signed last year is in the 59 million range. Just sayin. -
Hmmmm, rapid rewards through chase maybe cost more but so does fuel. Southwest still IMO has the best rewards going. Since I gave up on united, etc. over a decade ago. As for fees? What fees? You mean paying to board early? Just get on the A list for 5 bucks per direction if your on the road. Southwest still gives me 2 round trips per year on average without doing much at all. That's PDX to Tampa usually.

Bills contact Fitz to Restructure

Disagree. Fitz is a very solid back up? Well if the bills play KC every week maybe. The dude beat one winning team in years as a starter. His record is very substandard by any measure.Gailey was fired for a good reason, but to assume a better head coach could do better, is wrong. Fritz was a career mediocre backup and was signed by DJ to continue that role. Gailey actually got the most out of a mediocre QB who may have been out of the league if not for the bumbling Bills, including their clueless 72 year old GM.The love for a below mediocre, noodle arm here sometimes borders crazy. Lets cut the players who just cannot play at a successful NFL level and move on. Everyone will be better off for it. I'd rather watch a new QB grab our 5 or 6 wins next season. Than ever go through the turnstiles unless comped, to see Fritz stink it up yet again. Does anyone think people will pay to see that clown for yet another year? -
Here's a story of John learning some humility. On his infamous lost weekend he was out drinking with Harry Nilsson. Somehow getting a unused kotex between bars. John taped it to his forehead and attempted to get into the rainbow room in LA. The Doorman refused to let him in unless he took the Kotex off. Lennon replied " do you know who I am?" The doorman replied, "Yea, some A-Hole with a kotex on his forehead". John repeated that story often and commented that it had hit home for him.

What two QB'S do we draft and in what rounds?
Best Player Available replied to Dat Dude's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
People still scream that picking Whitner was such a reach. This would be worse. Throwing yet again a top 10 pick out the window.Come on Marrone won the friggin pin-stripe bowl with the guy. You're correct that marrone and hackett are at the beginning (and not for long) careers, If they hitch their wagon to the wrong horse. Lookout it will end quickly. And back to a mediocre college conference they go. It's career suicide to display allegiance or cronyism to a young kid who by no stretch separates himself from at least on the surface looks like a very mediocre crop of QB's. It's not like the team is simply a QB away from glory (however Nix's "plan" was just that). Brandon has once again bought himself and the FO a couple of years. The thought of wasting a #8 pick on mediocrity is very scary. And a lot of ticket holders are on the ledge as it is. Nassib at 8 IMO is career suicide. -

If the Bills take Nassib at 8. That will be proof positive that nothing has changed on OBD. Nix will have put the franchise in the Krapper for 3 more years, adding to his 3 years he already has kept the franchise as a bottom feeder. Impossible for that pick to take place and I'm no draftnik either. But let's hope some sanity has arrived in the FO. Nassib is slated to be a career clipboard holder. -

To truly have a change in culture on OBD, the stink needs to be washed off the deck. Cut him. With or without the guy the Bills are not going to be the "sleeper" favorite next year. To even reach the playoffs Serviceable back up? No he is not. Every single game that required him to pull it out in the end minus the Pats* in 2011, he has failed. In extreme fashion. Whens the last time in Gaileys tenure a back up even started one game? Never. There's guys out there that can hold a clipboard just as easily as a Harvard grad. Some call him a potential mentor? Is that because he went to Harvard? because as a QB he sucks, always has sucked, and will suck in the future. He has a career losing record in which he would need to run the table for at least a year to get too .500. But yet because he's a "nice guy" the Bills should keep him? Even the fan base to an extent has accepted below mediocre talent as players to coddle. Many would be thrilled to just make the playoffs and get creamed 42-zip by the Bengals. IMO I want a winning franchise to develop. BTW past SJ13 on the current receiving corp, there is no one IMO. This team needs parts badly. Those other receivers would be a 5th option on a good playoff team if that. Fitzgibbons is not the answer. And he can "mentor" no one. He will be out of the league shortly, unless Nix still has his man crush on him. The tape the league has on fitz is extensive and not pretty, his future in the NFL is short. -

Stevie Johnson doesn't workout in the offseason
Best Player Available replied to ET1062's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Maybe #13 could put his offseason time to better use by petitioning the league to make stick-um legal. That way he could get his extra 300 yards per season and still jog around the block with his wife in january. While other teams are still playing. -

Hardly shooting his mouth off. What's a 49er supposed to say? We suck? at this point there about 20,000 light years ahead of the Bills. BTW their 6-1 to go back too the big dance. -
You could have the "redirect virus". It's been around a long time. Nothing malicious but a pain. Switch search engines and search for "google redirect virus" there are free fixes by windows, and others, plenty of forums with people complaining about it. You can at least find out if that's your issue.
