I'm not sure why Hines is not in the backfield. His vision and skill is clearly above our current backs. -
NFL Week 11 Browns at Bills (Detroit) - 1st half game thread
TwistofFate replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
This defense has been a liability since week 5. You can watch it week after week, every team attacking the same people and same positions that are ravaged by injury. Compounding the problem is an offense that has progressively regressed. -
So he's rebuilt an entire franchise from the laughing stock of the NFL, to the Super Bowl favorite, but he's not likely to win a championship? He's brought this team from 17 years of no playoffs to an AFC championship game, 1 game away from a home AFC championship game, back to back AFC east titles for the fist time in 30 years and 4 playoff berths in 5 seasons. Many coaches have come through here in the last 30 years. They all failed miserablely and produced squat. From Murlarkey feeding guys cheeseburgers, Phillips ***** up with Qbs, Jauronamo never having answers, St. Doug running the 3rd Reich, Ryan not wanting to kiss rings, Williams quite possibly putting hits out on guys, to Gailey sprinkling a little bit of Fitz magic everywhere...they all sucked. Albeit, there were some fond memories, but many more crushing defeats. Maybe you need to rethink your position.

Found this on Twitter today, it's the final throw of the game from Allen's perspective. The decision looked good, the pass looked late and off target.

Pulse check - How confident are you that we can beat the Browns

The browns will run, run, run, play action against our terrible secondary and score points. If Allen continues to play like he has, 3 and outs, ints, fumbles, tunnel vision, etc, our opportunities will be less and less because of the possession type of game Cleveland is going to want to play. This game is a 50/50 imo. Which Allen shows up? -
I understand trusting players, but they haven't been playing well and need to earn that trust back. Terrible call to go for it on 4th down instead of kicking it. Terrible call to qb sneak from the 1/2 yard line, we can't run the ball and are the worst in the NFL in short yardage. Should have spread them out and created space for Allen to run. This coaching staff, for as good as it is, can't be trusted in close games.

I feel great about the first half, aside from the Singletary fumble. Lets keep it rolling in the 2nd. -

Terrel Bernard was absolutely abused yesterday
TwistofFate replied to TwistofFate's topic in The Stadium Wall
Because Nolan probably actually watched the tape and didn't glance at a stat sheet. Bernard was abused. -

Absolutely...it's nice to look for diggs, but man...he had Shakir for an easy 1st down at a critical point in the game. -

He almost threw a pick throwing it right past him. If he hit Shakir, first down and more. Bad miss by Josh on that one. -
Finally got a chance to review the game from yesterday with a clear head and the most blatant problem on defense was Bernard. He was attacked and abused by the Jets all day long in both the passing game and run game. He was frequently out of position, over running plays, losing containment and outright missing tackles. I understand he is a rookie, but my god. Milano is our best backer by far, pray he's back soon.

Why oh why are we not establishing a running game ?
TwistofFate replied to Returntoglory's topic in The Stadium Wall
https://www.fantasypros.com/nfl/advanced-stats-rb.php He doesn't break tackles, he's stopped almost immediately 1v1, he's not slippery enough to win 1v1 coming through the line against safeties and backers and his vision is questionable. (he doesn't create or feel the flow of the line to use cut back lanes) He's a hard worker and well rounded as well as an outstanding teammate, but he isnt a feature back. -
Coaching Staff has to take a huge blame for yesterday
TwistofFate replied to BillyBilliams's topic in The Stadium Wall
What the coaching staff needs to do is run the ball in those situations. The Jets did to us what we do to everyone. 4 man rush, 7 in pass protection, take away all big plays and blanket everyone. The real problem is we don't have a legit running back who can take the rock and an make them pay for having 7 deep. That would force them to move up and have respect for the run. Buffalo is one dimensional because of personnel not because of what the defense does. This is a copy cat league and this is the second week in a row we've been attacked like this. I expect to see the same thing from the Vikings next week until we have an answer.
