  1. Excellent post Mickey. I sure needed it too...
  2. As I reluctantly replayed some of the plays from todays dissapointing game, I feel like the O-line run blocked extremely well today, and the man on man pass protection was quite a bit better than many of those who possibly were unable to see the game think. The real problem I am seeing with consistency is an inability to do well in blitz pickup. This involves the line of course, but also involves the TE's and RB's. There was a time or two as well when JP could have released the ball quicker whether it was a throw away or a hot read.
  3. Yeah, looks like my comment is ancient history now.
  4. The call was good, the block was there. Too bad Freddie couldn't hold up his end when he stumbled...
  5. TKO has an achiles injury per Jeff Burris
  6. No, they shut down the run until the delay by Dunn, which is a pass action play. They do need to defend the pass alot better though.
  7. He looked pretty mad about the injury, which tells me it's pretty darn serious.
  8. Nice blocks by Teague, Shelton, and Chris V...
  9. The call on Vincent was ridiculous. Spikes needs to get in the game and stop worrying about his teamates alignments so much.
  10. Wow, were looking for 1700 yard seasons now?
  11. Ha! That sounds just like Hurley.
  12. Weren't you going to say that Willis's first carries yardage will reflect as follows: 4,8,15,16,23,42 ?
  13. Nice analysis. Based upon that we ought to be seeing a lot more Drags and Crossing routes in the passing offense. Here's to hoping.
  14. Yeah I used to have one too back in the early nineties.
  15. I tried for @ 5 minutes... .no go.
  16. From everything I've seen so far, the pass protection from the OL this year has actually been ABOVE where I think many of us expected it would be (blitzes not withstanding). The run blocking, though "easier", has been more of a work in progress which definitely needs a lot more tuning. They need to keep at it to make the running game work, but overall balance will be the key. I am with those who call for a 50/50 run pass ratio.
  17. Sure the numbers are always there for Moss, but if you haven't noticed the "maddening inconsistency" then you're simply not watching him much. His route running at times is absolutely awful. He'll short arm balls over the middle and jog through the end of routes when he isn't "feeling it". If his team is down he often mentally quits the game before it is even over. He is certainly a wonderful talent in this league but there are 5 or 6 guys I'd take over him to build my franchise with at WR.
  18. You apparently know how to motivate Stevestojan
  19. The blood and adrenaline return to normal states and the leg stiffens a bit due to the injury.
  20. Yeah hopefully he does suck it up and get in there, as long as he's not hurting the team by doing so (ie. playing on 1 leg)
  21. Agreed. I honestly don't like our chances much if Big Mike can't make a go of it on Sunday. If Peters were backing up RT, I'd feel a LITTLE better...
  22. Again, I agree with the approach. What I meant by "Just Because" is that you can't feed him the ball if he keeps dancing east west. In that case, there MAY be 30 carries, and 15 of them will be from Shaud Williams.
  23. Don' drag me into that (not that you are ) ...
  24. Not even the stupidest of coaches would give a man 30 carries just because. He needs to hit the hole as the play design dictates or he ain't getting the ball, period. Now if he shows some life attacking the hole once in a while, I'm all for your plan.
