  1. That's wonderful news, Art. Congrats. I'm only hoping I live to see the day that I can become a grandfather.
  2. Yep, I was there. I still lived in Erie @ the time, so I was able to make more games since it was only a 90 minute drive away. The tips of my toes were numb for about a week or so after that game. It was a good time, but I wouldn't want to go through that again.
  3. I've been to colder games @ RICH, that's for sure, like that playoff game against the Raiders (0 degrees).
  4. There's a slight chance that I'll be able to make that game.
  5. No. I have to work, then hightail it to the airport to make my 6:30pm flight to Erie. Sorry.
  6. Yeah, where are those people? Let's kill 'em! The evil bastards.
  7. I'm still working that out, but you should be okay.
  8. dib, it's not just "lazy a**" blacks who still remember what atrocities blacks were forced to endure. There are plenty of educated and employed blacks who deal w/ racism on a daily basis. Now, do they use it as an excuse? No. To ASSume that the blacks who still are bitter due to many years of racism are all unemployed and lazy is quite incorrect. I consider myself educated and I've been employed for the better part of the past 18 years and there are still times when I feel the effects of racism. It happens, and will probably happen from time to time for the rest of my life. I can accept that, even if I don't agree w/ it.
  9. Who said you're supposed to pay? All I said was that because of what black people went through for centuries, many do hold a grudge.
  10. Unfortunately, she does watch Survivor. She watches a bunch of those reality shows. What I'd love to know is what did these two do, other than be on some stupid TV show, to deserve a 2 hour special? Our society makes celebrities out of the sorriest people now (these reality TV losers, the runaway bride, William Hung, etc.). How embarrassing.
  11. That person is way too tall to be you. And, there's no glass of milk nearby.
  12. It's true that people do have thin skin, especially in circumstances like these. You don't see what's offensive about it? Well, when your race is put into slavery for over 400 years, then endures more torture and killings at the hands of the Klan during the Jim Crow law/civil rights era, and still has trouble being seen as equals in many aspects of life, then you'd understand a bit more. Not saying that I am that thin skinned on race issues, but there are plenty of black people who are, and for good reason.
  13. This morning, I had to tape some show that was on our tivo since we have so much junk on there that we need to clear off. What show was it? The, get this, 2 HOUR "special" on Rob and Amber's wedding (whoever TF they are!). Yeah, that's worth eating up 2 hrs on my tivo! Maybe I can check her into Reality Rehab.
  14. Hey! I resent that! My degree is worth a lot to............... what am I saying? I never finished my degree. Carry on.
  15. I can see the comparison: D-Fens just "wanted to go home" to his daughter while Travis just wanted to be w/ Cybil Shepherd's character, then just wanted to protect Jodie Foster's character from Harvey Keitel. They both kinda went all out in their pursuits, but they were single minded of purpose, so to speak.
  16. Wasting away on the shelf @ your local Blockbuster. Go rescue it. The Big Lebowski will definitely make the list of the "Duuuuuuuuude, here's 10 awesome movies!"
  17. The Hustler is still my favorite movie. Too bad it didn't get any mention. A very well-acted film as all of the main characters received Oscar nominations for great performances (Piper Laurie, Paul Newman, and the late actors George C. Scott and Jackie Gleason). Also, what's w/ dissing Kurosawa? No Ran, Kagemusha, or Rashomon???
  18. Well, then the obvious answer is no. I'm a happily married man.
  19. Probably so. I'm sure it was more innovative than the slew of 30 minute infomercials that masqueraded as cartoons were then.
