  1. Now, that was just uncalled for, Annie. I knew you were one of "those type of Buckeye fans".
  2. Good for so many reasons: "Bring up the thing..." Playing for prizes: "We're playing for a different Vespa scooter, Dave. Back to you." Kiva and that Russian broad on the hula hoops; nice. One of my favorite "Will It Float" games was the one where they put the fertilizer in the tank and Paul said it, "sank like a bag of s**t".
  3. Hope to see you guys @ this year's Bills @ Ravens tailgate/game.
  4. On the catch Royal had against the Jets, he was wide open. It would be nice if we could get more out of the TEs in the passing game. That could really open things up for Parrish, Price, Reed, and Evans.
  5. Are you telling me you blame the failed bootleg on JP? 788603[/snapback] I wouldn't "blame" anyone. It was a solid veteran play by Hamilton to not chase the RB down the line and to stick to his responsibility (the QB). Sucked for us that he didn't bite on fake.
  6. ...and someone responded. It does say Jackass 2, after all.
  7. My Mother and her boyfriend are taking the Dave Koz cruise and Tisdale is one of the acts that will be there. Sounds like a lot of fun. I wish I could go.
  8. The truth probably lies somewhere in between "Brady Quinn Sucks" and "Brady Quinn Is The Greatest Player In The Storied, Mystical, Magical History Of That School".
  9. Forgive my poor memory (I chalk it up to old age), but where did I call the OL bums? Oh wait, here it is: Now, I did post on how I think we still have trouble in the interior of the line as far as pass protection goes. Other than that, I like the progress of the OL this year.
  10. Some of us have been griping for the OL to be upgraded for years now. I think this is as close as we've gotten to that in a long time. Maybe we're finally on the way to having an offensive line that isn't a liability. There's still work to be done, but you have to like the improvements in the run blocking, which is a nice start.
  11. One and the same. He's a very good jazz bassist and has released a few nice albums.
  12. I think Clarke is phenomenal. Another bassist I really like is Wayman Tisdale. I've been listening to his debut "Power Forward" lately. I just had the urge to hear it again. Good stuff.
  13. Butch Davis, while a bad pro coach, would make a good candidate for the Miami job if they were to go that route. They could make a run @ one of the hot coaches out there now, like RICH Rodriguez of West Virginia or even Skip Holtz, who is doing a fine job @ East Carolina w/ very little to work w/.
  14. Good comeback win for "that school". Good thing there's plenty of time before the USC game to work on that secondary. It it doesn't improve, they may as well say they already have 2 losses. Like I said though, there's plenty of time. They just need to maintain focus and improve defensively.
  15. Possibly. Either way, we're out a cooler full of beer (Mmmm..........beeeeeeeeer!!!). Good thing I still have a job and can replace both the cooler and the beer (Mmmm......beeeeeeeer!!!!), huh?
  16. Why not? While I'm no Metallica fan, I do know that Cliff Burton was an outstanding bassist. But, to say he was better than Jaco Pastorious is just wrong. We missed ya, that's for sure. The trip was fine, other than the long ride home after a tough loss.
  17. Sale Of The Century, aka "Jeopardy For Retards"
  18. The greatest rock bassist, you mean?
  19. I stand corrected on Lewis. For some reason, I thought he was out 4 games that year. Nope, just one.
  20. Ease up on Preston. The guy has had to work @ both guard and center, and has been adequate for either spot. Like w/ JP, I think he needs time to settle in, be it @ guard (most likely) or center. If you just keep putting him in all over the place, he can't develop.
  21. I should've locked it up before we headed into the stadium. Oh well; it just proves that not everyone you meet from the boards is trustworthy (thief) or smart (me).
  22. Not much, other than he's had a history of injuries. Too bad, because he was fairly solid when he was in San Diego and healthy.
  23. I don't think our line is terrible in general. I don't think the interior pass blocking is very good, but considering the fact that they're new players (except for Villarrial, who I think is really slipping) in a new scheme, they're about par for the course. The run blocking is much improved across the line, and, as I said, that's a start (and a great one). I also think that Losman also needs to realize that while you don't need to take off all of the time, there are times when you can leave the pocket and do good things. A couple times, he moved out of the pocket to buy more throwing time when he may have been better off running and picking up what he could on the ground. That will come in time. The good thing is that this coaching staff seems willing to give him the time needed to develop instead of jerking him out of the lineup every other play.
  24. From what I saw, the guys were solid in their run blocking, but the pass blocking, especially from guard to guard, reeked. I guess I can let off of Gandy a bit too, as he looked okay (he didn't embarrass himself @ least). I saw Peters get beat pretty bad around end once, but he was fairly solid as well. But, we still have major pass protection problems in the interior. The run blocking looked good all the way across the line, I thought. Hey, it's a start.
  25. Yeah, he was out for quite a while that season he was on the cover of Madden, I thought. The curse is for real, much like "The Curse" for Penn State RBs was for real.......until Larry J finally broke it.
