'Smartest Man Joe Biden Knows' Makes Very Bad Decision When It Comes to Melania Trump's Legal Warning By Nick Arama First Lady Melania Trump's attorney dropped a letter threatening a $1 billion lawsuit against Hunter Biden for comments he made claiming that Jeffrey Epstein introduced her to Donald Trump. Biden made those claims during an interview with YouTuber Andrew Callaghan. The First Lady was not standing for that claim. Her attorney called it false and defamatory, and demanded that Hunter retract the comments and apologize. https://redstate.com/nick-arama/2025/08/14/hunter-response-to-melania-notice-n2192798 .

REMEMBER THESE HEROES ? NBC News: Here's the Texas Dems' Exit Strategy John Sexton Yesterday we learned that the Texas Democrats who fled the state to prevent a quorum and block a vote on redistricting were making plans to return home. Even though the article, from an ABC affiliate in Texas, didn't have a lot of detail it was pretty clear that the plan was to fold up their traveling tent and declare victory in some fashion. Today, NBC News has a more detailed follow-up story which goes into detail about the Texas Dems' exit strategy. Texas Democrats met late into the night Tuesday then again Wednesday, including breaking into smaller groups, to discuss their next steps and what their ultimate exit strategy looked like after spending the last 10 days out of the state, according to four sources close to the talks. https://hotair.com/john-s-2/2025/08/13/nbc-news-heres-the-texas-dems-exit-strategy-n3805791 https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/elections/democrats-fled-texas-block-gops-redistricting-plan-weigh-exit-strategy-rcna224719 .

Appeals court allows Trump administration to resume foreign aid cuts The Hill, by Zack Schofeld A federal appeals court voted 2-1 on Wednesday to lift an order requiring the Trump administration to resume billions of dollars in foreign aid payments. The divided U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit panel found a lower judge erred when he restored the flow of funds in March. Two groups of grant recipients sued over allegations the cancellations infringe on the separation of powers since Congress had appropriated the money, but the panel ruled they can’t bring such a claim. https://thehill.com/regulation/court-battles/5450232-appeals-court-lifts-aid-order/amp/

Trump 47, Putin & The Ukraine War.

Zelenskyy, Germany, France, Britain, Italy, Poland, Finland, the E.U. and NATO Coordinate Pressure Campaign Against President Trump None of the European leaders were invited to the Alaska summit, yet all of the European leaders want to tell President Trump what to do at the summit with President Vladimir Putin. Because, of course they do… EUROPE – […] The Europeans recognize that they can only do so much to influence a president who often veers off-script and likes nothing more than to declare a deal. But on Ukraine recently they have met with some success, for example, by persuading Trump to allow them to transfer U.S. weapons to Ukraine and purchase replacements for themselves. And in recent days, especially after a meeting with Vice President JD Vance in Britain over the weekend, they have found the U.S. administration receptive to some of their red lines. After that meeting, Vance, in a television interview, endorsed at least one European position — that the current line of contact and positioning of Ukrainian and Russian troops should be the starting point of any talks — rejecting a Russian demand that Ukraine first surrender its entire eastern Donbas area. Ahead of Wednesday’s call some Europeans expressed guarded optimism, especially with Trump seeming to lower expectations of securing a deal in Alaska. https://theconservativetreehouse.com/blog/2025/08/13/zelenskyy-germany-france-britain-italy-poland-finland-the-e-u-and-nato-coordinate-pressure-campaign-against-president-trump/ -

No surprise here, they are afraid of the left's extremists Smart? 9 in 10 Students Say They Lie About Their Views to Fit in During College David Strom This trend may be individually smart, but it makes our society dumber and ultimately undermines the potential educational value of a college education. Almost everybody is living a lie, to avoid bullying by the other 10% of students and, of course, the college professors who act like the old Soviet Political Officers in the Soviet Union's armed forces. The Alaskan summit is scheduled for Friday, August 15th, in Anchorage, Alaska, between U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin. The primary agenda is to discuss the ongoing war in Ukraine, with Trump aiming to assess Putin's seriousness about ending the conflict. Concerns exist among Ukraine and its allies about potential sidelining of Ukrainian interests during the talks. Here's a breakdown of the key aspects: Location and Date: Anchorage, Alaska, on August 15th. Participants: U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin. Key Issue: The war in Ukraine. Trump's Stance: Trump has warned of "severe consequences" for Russia if Putin is not serious about ending the war. He also hopes the initial meeting could lead to a larger discussion involving Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Concerns from Ukraine and Allies: There are worries that Ukraine might be marginalized during the talks. Concerns also exist that the meeting could postpone or weaken sanctions against Russia. Trump's Approach: Trump has described the meeting as a "listening exercise". He has also suggested that he might visit Russia after the Alaska summit. The administration has gone out of it's way to avoid calling this meeting as 'negotiations' . This one is just to assess Putin's seriousness about ending the war. The following meeting would include Zelenskyy
