I imagine advocates get frustated, but that is part of the game. During the birthright citizenship cases, Justice Sotomayor asked the same line of questions several times--apparently she thought it was clever. I can't state it any better than that. ALL of the individual points that many on the Left bring up are certainly not the particular reason that I continue to support President Trump, but as inferred by others I really think that the country was heading towards a a caste system with a Liberal Network at the top, all dissent illegal and extremist non-American ideas enforced ( I am well aware that many wrongly say this about Trump, but my past 4 decades of following American politics confirm my view.) Just like clockwork, this headline from Bloomberg recently told the whole story: "Student Loans Drive US delinquency Rate to Highest Since 2020." Gee, who -- except a bunch of head-in-the-sand politicians in Washington -- would have ever thought that forgiving as many people from paying their student loans as possible would increase future nonpayments? Well, the Biden administration, for one. Now that the Department of Education is honestly reporting the data, we find that serious delinquency rates are over 10 times what the Biden Department of Education said they were. There is an old saying in physics and economics: Every action in the universe has a reaction. How many students in the future will pay back unpaid student loans when the next forgiveness program is right around the corner? Shocker: Antifa Thugs Attacked a Christian Rally in Seattle, But Guess Who the Mayor Blamed? We've written often about how Democrat politicians encourage, incite, and turn a blind eye to violence from their political supporters. From the 'Summer of Love' in 2020 to the firebombing of Tesla dealerships this year, violence has practically become the defining pillar of the Democratic Party platform. But we've rarely seen an endorsement of political violence -- and punishing your political opposition -- so egregious and explicit as the one made publicly by the mayor of Seattle, Bruce Harrell, this week. Readers may remember Harrell as the mayor who, just a couple of months ago, blamed YEARS of his city's budget failures on Donald Trump, who had been President for only two months at the time. Because, of course, he did. But what Harrell said yesterday is far more shameful. On Saturday, groups of Christians gathered in Seattle's Cal Anderson Park for a rally to support a number of conservative causes, including pro-life and protecting children from the predatory gender cult. Not surprisingly, groups of counter protesters from Antifa and Trantifa showed up to screech at the Christian rally. Less surprisingly, those counter-protesters soon became violent. Police responded and, to their credit, began making swaths of arrests. Perhaps least surprisingly of all, the response from Antifa was to then begin violently assaulting the police. Watch: Good for the police officers. As one of them stated to the camera, they were just upholding and enforcing the law. But just when we thought that a modicum of sanity might be returning to the Pacific Northwest, Mayor Harrell and his Communications Director weighed in on the altercation. Another Hit to the 'Deep State' as Trump and Rubio Clean House at NSC Nick Arama President Donald Trump and Secretary of State Marco Rubio are doing some serious house cleaning and a huge restructuring at the National Security Council, according to new reports. More than 100 people were notified they were terminated on Friday, according to one report. The NSC had ballooned to more than 300 people under Joe Biden. It now has about half that. The idea is to get it down to just a few dozen people. They are moving some of its tasks to the State and Defense Departments, according to Axios. The problem was "a bottom-to-the-top approach that doesn't work. It's going away," according to a senior White House official. The NSC was supposed to "coordinate and advise — not carry out — policy," another official explained. Now it's "what the president wants, get it done," a senior official said. "It wasn't, 'Oh, let's get the sub-PCC to send it to the PCC to go to the DC to go to the PC.' " That's how it's supposed to work. The President dictates policy, not the bureaucracy or advisers. But, likely under Biden, they had a much more prominent role. But that's how you get unelected bureaucrats who think they control things and they dictate. "Domestic Violent Extremists" is not a rhetorical flourish when employed by intelligence agencies. It has a very specific meaning and empowers US government intelligence and law enforcement officials to take enhanced steps to monitor and investigate you. What would be "unreasonable" searches under the Fourth Amendment suddenly become "reasonable," based on your enhanced danger to the community. So when the Biden administration designated people who opposed MASK and vaccine mandates during the COVID pandemic, it put much of the country--including most Trump supporters--in the crosshairs of law enforcement. (sarcasm alert) Remember all those anti-mandate riots in the summer and fall of 2020? I do. White Supremacist militias burned down vast swathes of cities, created anti-mask occupation zones in cities like Seattle, and torched Minneapolis' Third Precinct. I think I remember that. Republican congressmen even pledged their fealty to these insurrectionists. Most Americans want to forget just how oppressive Western governments became during the COVID pandemic. Bureaucrats and politicians became drunk with power and were motivated by a burning hatred for those who defied them. They mobilized the intelligence community, collaborated with foreign powers to censor dissenters, and even employed military psychological warfare units to gaslight citizens. Ironically, within months of this declaration, a wave of domestic violent extremism swept the country, starting on college campuses, spilling out into our streets, and vividly demonstrated with yet another set of assassinations on the streets of Washington DC. You may have heard of it. They want to globalize the intifada, yet every one of the same people who labeled COVID skeptics--who have been proven prescient--violent extremists are not working furiously to claim that the people who have declared their allegiance to Hamas in the wake of October 7th are merely exercising their First Amendment rights.
