  1. Yes it does. But you can keep your head in the sand.
  2. OH NO ! Just like 32 other states ? How unfair. SCOTUS Upholds Arizona Law Requiring Proof of Citizenship for Voter Registration It goes into effect immediately, before the November elections. It’s sad we have to celebrate proof of citizenship to vote.
  3. You know that many of the twitter posts are connected to news articles and opinions. Many have a video with pertinent news. This snobbish blanket condemnation of twitter re-posts does not reflect well on you. Education in this country is not good, but it is not expressed in those who look for information from ALL sources. But maybe it is by those who look down on others opinions. .
  4. Except, commenting on what is actually the news of the day (Walz's speech) is NOT buying into it. You need to come down off your mountaintop. . . . . . . . . . . (That's Frank's schtick anyway ) .
  5. As I said two days ago
  6. I don't really care what college Timmy went to. What is perplexing is how he keeps 'thinking' that the fact that Sen. Vance climbed out of abject poverty to attend Yale is some kind of "gotcha" You're right Irv, What a dope ! .
  7. Democrats, the Party of Freedom? I'm Laughing Through My Tears Rick Moran "Freedom" has always been a loaded word in America. What do we mean by freedom? Obviously, there isn't one definition for freedom since freedom means different things to different people. In some ways, freedom mirrors Justice Potter Stewart's definition of obscenity: "I know it when I see it." And looking at speaker after speaker at the Democratic Convention last night in Chicago, I couldn't help but be struck by some of these people's idea of what "freedom" means. Vice presidential nominee Tim Walz mentioned the word "freedom" eight times in his acceptance speech. In fact, he said this election was all about "freedom." Oh, really? In the immortal words of "Independence Day's" Defense Secretary Albert Nimzicky, "That's not entirely accurate." There are thousands of individual regulations governing air and water quality in the United States. They are hardly "free" to pollute anything. Each of these regulations has the force of law. How many regulations do you think banks operate under? "Banks" and "corporations" are trigger words for Democrats and have been since the time of FDR. What's even scarier is that many adult Democrats actually believe that drivel. The reality of Democratic governance is far different. That's a lie. In fact, Democrats allow the government to make everything their business that they don't much agree with. When the government makes it its business to shut down kids' lemonade stands or regulate garage sales, that's as intrusive as anything Democrats accuse Republicans of doing. All elections are about "freedom" in some ways. Some definitions of freedom are more expansive than others. The Democrats' idea of "freedom" masks a cloying desire to control. It would be nice if someone at that convention said something about it. https://pjmedia.com/rick-moran/2024/08/22/democrats-the-party-of-freedom-im-laughing-through-my-tears-n4931877

  9. Please welcome to the stage, Governor Tim Walz !! https://x.com/KristanHawkins/status/1826460624919937067
  10. The theme of last night’s show was “freedom” — freedom, Democrat style, or the new New Freedom. The emphasis of the new New Freedom is sex and abortion. Democrats have adopted the sacramental view of abortion. It’s a holy right, if not a holy rite. Anything that tends to restrict it is evil. We may be surfing on the fourth wave of liberalism. I will have to check with Charles Kesler on that. Along with abortion, the alleged banning of books by Republicans was a motif reiterated by speaker after speaker. They never did tell us what they were talking about, but it sounded bad. It is a manifestation of the Democrats’ mania to normalize the bizarreries of the sexual revolution. Nature imposes no limits because nature does not exist. The old order of freedom has long since faded. Democrats intone the word while placing their hands ever deeper in our pockets and in our lives. Tim Walz is the perfect exemplar. Rights that precede and limit the power of government are obsolete. They are the relic of an oppressive regime that is to be extirpated. All in all, I count 28 speakers and performers scheduled during prime time last night. Let me take the most notable in approximate order and offer brief comments on them.
