  1. Kamala Harris' Fear is Palpable As She Desperately Tries to Change the Rules of the ABC News Debate In a move that will surprise no one, Kamala Harris is now pushing for major rule changes at the ABC News debate. That comes after her campaign spent weeks insisting that any deviation from the Biden-negotiated event would represent cowardice on the part of Donald Trump. According to Politico, Harris wants to do away with the muted mics seen in the CNN debate so that the candidates can have "uncensored" exchanges. This is a laughable shift by the Harris campaign. For weeks, she and her surrogates claimed that Trump was "scared" to debate because he suggested that the rules agreed to with Biden were no longer valid. Almost every major news organization in the country framed the situation as Trump "backing out" instead of noting that no debate had ever been agreed to with Harris, who wasn't the nominee at the time. Still, Trump eventually agreed to the original terms of the September 10th debate on ABC News while offering debates on Fox News and NBC News to complete the traditional three-debate slate all modern presidential elections have. In response, the Harris campaign refused to agree to the Fox News event while proclaiming the "debate about debates is over." If the "debate about debates is over," why is she insisting on major rule changes this late in the game? Her lackeys were quick to push the idea that if Trump objects to this bait-and-switch, then he's "afraid." Others pointed out the hypocrisy at play. Here's the real question. Why is ABC News even entertaining this? Kamala Harris demanded Trump agree to the original terms and he did. To let the Harris campaign now dictate the rules is insane, and something no legitimate news organization would allow. Unfortunately, we are talking about a left-wing network that is anything but legitimate so it wouldn't surprise me at all if they allow the vice president to change the rules and then force Trump to abide by them or not show up. https://redstate.com/bonchie/2024/08/26/kamala-harris-now-trying-to-renegotiate-debate-trump-signals-he-may-not-show-n2178534 .
  2. In his speech in Arizona endorsing Trump, Kennedy said: “The DNC deployed aligned judges to throw me and other candidates off the ballot and to throw President Trump in jail. It ran a sham primary that was rigged to prevent any serious challenge to President Biden. Then, when a predictably bungled debate performance precipitated the palace coup against President Biden, the same shadowy DNC operatives appointed his successor, also without an election. They installed a candidate who was so unpopular with voters that she dropped out in 2020 without winning a single delegate,” Kennedy said. “My uncle and my father both relished debate. They prided themselves on their capacity to go toe-to-toe with any opponent in the battle over ideas. They would be astonished to learn of a Democratic Party presidential nominee who, like Vice President Harris, has not appeared in a single interview or unscripted encounter with voters for 35 days. This is profoundly undemocratic. How are people to choose when they don’t know whom they are choosing, and how must this look to the rest of the world?” “Instead of showing us her substance and character, the DNC and its media organs engineered a surge of popularity for Vice President Harris based on, well, nothing—no policies, no interviews, no debates—only smoke and mirrors and balloons in a highly-produced Chicago circus,” he said. “How did the Democratic Party choose a candidate who has never done an interview or a debate during the entire election cycle? We know the answers. They did it by weaponizing government agencies. They did it by abandoning democracy,” Kennedy said. “They did it by silencing the opposition and by disenfranchising American voters. What most alarms me isn’t how the Democratic Party conducts its internal affairs or runs its candidates. What alarms me is the resort to censorship and media control and the weaponization of federal agencies.” Can any serious person dispute what Kennedy said? https://johnkassnews.com/kamala-balloon-about-to-pop/ .
  3. It Would Be Super Great If Tim Walz Could Tell the Truth About Anything. “I’m surprised that Trump hasn’t started calling Walz’s lies “Walzhoods,” which I think that I may start using now.” https://pjmedia.com/stephen-kruiser/2024/08/26/the-morning-briefing-it-would-be-super-great-if-tim-walz-could-tell-the-truth-about-anything-n4931976
  4. Harris Features Trump Border Wall in Campaign ad to Great Mockery Jazz Shaw Kamala Harris has now gone five full weeks since securing her party's nomination for the presidency without holding a single press conference or giving a full interview to any major media outlets. The nation's voters remain in the dark about what new policy initiatives she might put in place if elected. But that hasn't stopped her campaign team from releasing additional campaign advertisements. Yet another of these ads was making the rounds this weekend and there really isn't any other way to describe it than "shameless." The title of the ad is "Tougher" and it touts Harris' supposed record as a "border state prosecutor." Adding insult to injury, the ad features two different shots of sections of the existing border wall. That would be the wall that Donald Trump built and Kamala Harris criticized him for building. The public mocking began almost immediately. (NY Post) https://hotair.com/jazz-shaw/2024/08/26/harris-features-trump-border-wall-in-campaign-ad-to-great-mockery-n3793658 .
  5. Students Left Without Bus Service as Massachusetts Funds Buses for Illegals by Margaret Flavin Last week, the parents of 150 students from Stoughton Public Schools, a school district outside of Boston, were informed that a lack of funding and a shortage of buses and drivers have left them without school bus service. According to the Boston Herald, the news comes at the same time that the state has started paying for the buses of students of more than 200 migrant families. A letter sent to parents from Superintendent of Schools Joseph Baeta read, “Finalizing the bus routes and the list of students riding the bus is one of the signs the start of the school year is near.” https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2024/08/students-left-without-bus-service-as-massachusetts-funds/ .
  6. The Quiet Before the Storms in Ukraine, Gaza, and Taiwan? Victor Davis Hanson Amid doubts about Biden's ability to effectively lead the U.S. in his remaining months as president, our enemies abroad might see an opportunity to alter the global balance of power. There are three current hot or cold wars: on the Ukrainian border, in the regions surrounding Israel, and in the strategic space between Taiwan and mainland China. All three conflicts could not only expand within their respective theaters but also escalate to draw in the United States. And all three involve nuclear powers. Various Russian megaphones routinely threaten to use tactical nuclear weapons against Ukraine. Some boast about sending strategic nuclear bombs or missiles against its Western suppliers, especially as the costs of Russian aggression mount and the humiliation of Putin escalates. Nuclear Israel and near-nuclear Iran have both exchanged attacks on their respective homelands—and promise to do so again. China likewise on occasion existentially threatens Taiwan. Its freelancing generals and spokesmen periodically warn Japan and the U.S. of dire nuclear consequences should they intervene on Taiwan’s behalf. In all these theaters, there superficially appears to be stasis and deadlock: Israel is said to be bogged down in Gaza as it seeks to neutralize 400 miles of subterranean command-and-control installations and munitions, find and rescue surviving Israeli hostages, and take out the Hamas leaders. And no one believes that the degradation of Hamas will mark the end of the war, given the agendas of Hezbollah, the Houthis, and Iran, to attack periodically and chronically the Jewish state. Combined Russian and Ukrainian dead, wounded, and missing may be nearing one million. Experts argue about whether the current apparently successful Ukrainian counteroffensive towards Kursk inside Russia was merely a demonstration to gain diplomatic concessions. Or was it designed to take and hold ground inside the Russian homeland? (Excerpt) Read more at https://amgreatness.com/2024/08/26/the-quiet-before-the-storms-in-ukraine-gaza-and-taiwan/ .
  7. By Susie Moore FTA: There are times when I want to shout across the political divide, "Open your eyes! Look past the 'Republicans BAD' and 'Ewww, gross, MAGAts' crap you're being spoonfed and actually see what's going on. And then, if you do, if you genuinely set aside the partisan blinders and absorb the information and still land in the same spot, then fine. At least you'll know — and I'll know — you're there because you sorted through the information and reached your conclusion via critical thinking." That's all anyone can ask. And believe it or not, I recognize that there are times when I'm not operating with all the pertinent information either. But the key to overcoming that is knowing you've got blind spots and making sure you're accounting for them. I think that's why Kennedy's announcement on Friday spoke to me — genuinely affected me. Because what I saw and heard was a man who tried to work within the system he's always known and the party that for decades was virtually synonymous with his family and came face to face with the ugly truth about the way power works in America (maybe everywhere). I saw a man mourning something he'd long held dear and making peace with the fact that maybe that something no longer existed — if it ever really did. I saw a man wrestling with the realization that the principles he values most are no longer being championed by the party (and maybe even people) he loved and that continuing to fight for those principles might require joining forces with the most unlikeliest of allies. He's been cut off at the knees by the Democrat Party, censored, maligned, and (until recently) denied Secret Service protection. And the party that has elevated justifying the means with the ends to an art form is pitching a fit because Kennedy's doing just that himself: In Donald Trump's candidacy, he sees a means to an end — the best shot at advocating and moving the ball forward on the issues he cares about most. In short, I saw a man going through a process not unlike the one I went through 20 years ago, only his was out loud and live and on the world stage — and with so much more subtext and import, given the history. I saw a man stick his neck all the way out in an effort to make the case for the principles he holds dear, boiled down to ending "the war on free speech, the war in Ukraine, and the war on our children." And then I saw a man whose family thought it their duty to publicly denounce him in a formal statement — not because they disagree with those principles (they didn't actually address them) — but because he had the nerve — the audacity — to endorse Donald Trump in the process. That they chose to do so struck a raw, white-hot nerve in me. I don't believe my family would ever stoop to such — and especially not invoke my father's memory in the process. I can guarandamntee you I wouldn't. I don't think for one second that Bobby Kennedy had any illusions about what he was doing when he made his announcement on Friday. I have little doubt that he spent countless hours ruminating on it before he did so. I don't know that it will swing the election, but I do know, sure as I'm sitting here today, that his words hit home with quite a few people — and hopefully pricked the consciences of some. https://redstate.com/smoosieq/2024/08/25/he-gets-it-n2178508
