  1. Trump boasts ‘we’re just getting started’ as prez holds Michigan campaign-style rally to celebrate his first 100 days 4/29/25 | Victor Nava We ain’t seen nothin’ yet. President Trump celebrated the first 100 days of his second term with a fired-up rally in Michigan Tuesday night — where he boasted that his administration has done more for the country in three months than most do their entire presidencies. “We’ve accomplished more in three months than most administrations accomplish in four years or even eight years,” Trump, 78, declared. “And we’re just getting started.” “Believe me, we’re just getting started.” The president touted his administration’s crackdown on illegal immigration, economic policies and cost-cutting initiatives throughout his 90-minute speech. “Under President Trump, America is a dumping ground for criminals no longer,” Trump proclaimed. “They’re not even trying to come in,” Trump boasted of illegal border-crossers, crediting his sweeping initiatives to seal up the US-Mexico boundary and swiftly deport criminal aliens. The president unveiled a dramatic video of deported migrants — alleged members of gangs Tren de Aragua and MS-13 — arriving at El Salvador’s notorious “hellhole” megaprison during his campaign-rally-like remarks at the Macomb Sports and Expo Center in Warren. The video was well-received by the crowd at the packed venue outside Detroit. 5. DOUG EMHOFF RAGES AS PRESIDENT TRUMP RECLAIMS HOLOCAUST BOARD FROM BIDEN’S POLITICAL CRONIES: “Today, I was informed of my removal from the United States Holocaust Memorial Council. Let me be clear: Holocaust remembrance and education should never be politicized. To turn one of the worst atrocities in history into a wedge issue is dangerous — and it dishonors the memory of six million Jews murdered by Nazis that this museum was created to preserve,” Emhoff said in a statement to The Hill. “No divisive political decision will ever shake my commitment to Holocaust remembrance and education or to combatting hate and antisemitism. I will continue to speak out, to educate, and to fight hate in all its forms—because silence is never an option,” he added. Emhoff was just one of a handful of prominent Democrats who got the boot. Also sent packing were: Ron Klain, former chief of staff to Joe Biden Susan Rice, Biden’s director of Domestic Policy Council of the United States Tom Perez, former chairman of the Democratic National Committee Anthony Bernal, who was an advisor to former First Lady Jill Biden Here’s the thing, though, about Emhoff’s claim that the dismissals were politically motivated: The now-dismissed slate of lefty politicos were appointed by Joe Biden on his way out of the White House. Yes, the appointments were made on January 17, 2025, in what can only be described as a last-minute, overtly political attempt to stack the Holocaust Museum board with leftists. https://redstate.com/terichristoph/2025/04/29/doug-emhoff-in-a-rage-after-trump-dumps-him-from-holocaust-museum-board-n2188498

  7. Here's What the Democrats Don’t Want You to Know About the Trump Economy Matt Margolis To hear the Democrats say it, the country is in chaos, the economy is collapsing, and it’s all Trump’s fault. But nothing could be further from the truth. In fact, the Trump administration marked its first 100 days with impressive economic achievements, as Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent detailed in Tuesday's briefing. Leavitt revealed strong job growth numbers, announcing, "345,000 jobs have already been added since the start of President Trump's term. Last month's jobs report saw nearly 100,000 more jobs than economists predicted." "It was the fourth highest month for private payroll growth in the past two years,” she continued. “9,000 manufacturing jobs have been added to the economy already! This is a sharp contrast to the 6,000 manufacturing jobs that were lost each month in the final two years of the Biden administration." The inflation picture has also improved dramatically. The latest report showed the first consumer price decline since the COVID pandemic, driven by decreasing energy prices and real wage growth. Current inflation sits at 2.4%, significantly lower than the previous administration's peak of nine percent. Investment figures are equally impressive. The administration has secured $5.2 trillion in domestic and foreign investments since January. Major players like Apple, NVIDIA, Softbank, Oracle, and OpenAI are leading the charge. Notable among these is a historic $500 billion artificial intelligence infrastructure project involving Softbank, Oracle, and OpenAI. Private sector investments in the U.S. have topped $1.8 trillion, with major contributions from the pharmaceutical and energy industries. Hyundai alone has pledged $21 billion, projected to create around 100,000 jobs. Since President Donald Trump took office, foreign investments have surged past $3.3 trillion—over half the total—driven by countries like the UAE, Japan, Saudi Arabia, and India. These measures represent a significant shift in economic policy—one that is very much needed to get this country back on track after the Biden years. This policy shift emphasizes domestic manufacturing, job creation, and strategic use of tariffs to benefit American workers, something presidents on both sides of the aisle have been talking about for years but never followed through on. The administration's approach appears to be yielding positive results across multiple economic indicators, setting a strong foundation for continued growth. Looking ahead, the White House expects these initiatives to drive further job creation and economic expansion, particularly through major infrastructure and technology investments. The combination of manufacturing incentives, tariff policies, and tax reforms signals a comprehensive strategy to strengthen America's economic position. Despite the doom and gloom that the Democrats are trying to sell, for American workers and businesses, these first 100 days suggest a promising trajectory, with concrete policies aimed at making America great again. https://pjmedia.com/matt-margolis/2025/04/29/heres-what-the-democrats-dont-want-you-to-know-about-the-trump-economy-n4939344
  8. During Trump's First 100 Days, Veterans Come First By Chase Jennings You can judge a nation by how it takes care of its veterans. During the Biden administration, and frankly, going back to the Obama administration, veterans have been an afterthought. President Trump worked to change that during his first term as president. He understands how important it is that we take care of the men and women who bravely served this country. Well, during his first 100 days, we’re now seeing that veterans have been a top priority for this White House. I worked in my local congressional office in Louisiana after we decided to move out of D.C. I can tell you firsthand that these veterans were not receiving the proper care and attention. Our office would get calls from veterans who were not receiving their benefits, were struggling to get an appointment or the care they needed from the VA hospital. Hearing their stories was devastating—and it was a consistent trend. The Biden administration and the VA leadership had ignored the very responsibility they had sworn to uphold. On Monday, Veterans Affairs Secretary under President Trump, Doug Collins, announced the ways the VA has changed during Trump’s first 100 days, and it’s all for the better. In an op-ed for the D.C. Journal, Secretary Collins highlights both the problem and the action that’s been taken to make changes: “About 100 days ago, the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) was led by Biden administration officials who had lost sight of what matters most to veterans. VA was dabbling in DEI and gender ideology, abusing telework and remote work privileges to the detriment of veterans, wasting hundreds of millions of dollars on duplicative and unnecessary contracts, and slow-walking critical programs like electronic health record modernization. The results of that experiment in poor management were clear. Wait times for VA health care got worse under the Biden administration, as did the department’s disability benefits claims backlog.” Secretary Collins also laid out the changes that have been made at the VA: “One hundred days into the second Trump administration, and VA is no longer content with poor results. Under President Trump’s leadership, we have already stripped away many of the costly distractions that were coming between VA beneficiaries and the benefits they have earned. And we’re looking to make even more historic reforms to better serve veterans. President Trump’s mandate to shake up Washington and make it work better for the American people is guiding our efforts to put veterans first at the department. In the first week of the second Trump administration, we stopped VA’s wasteful spending on DEI initiatives, which only divided veterans and staff. The most important identity to us is “veteran,” and by ending DEI programs, we now have $14 million more to spend on our core constituency.” This is what we voted for—the complete dismantling of the costly DEI programs that have absolutely nothing to do with the mission of the Department of Veterans Affairs. This has been one of the major problems. The focus has not been on caring for our veterans, but lining the pockets of these insane DEI contracts that only benefit the bureaucracy. I’m grateful this $14 million will now be spent helping veterans. Secretary Collins also announced that veterans: Will receive the health care choices they were promised under the MISSION Act. They are processing a record number of disability claims. Accelerating the deployment of the VA’s electronic health records system, after the program was nearly dormant for two years under the Biden administration. Taking thousands of employees off of remote work and bringing them back to the office, where they can work as a team to better serve veterans. https://redstate.com/chase-jennings/2025/04/29/during-trumps-first-100-days-veterans-come-first-n2188460
  9. Report: What the Four MS-13 Caucus Dems Hid About Their El Salvador Trip Should Infuriate Everyone Though the mainstream media appears to have moved on, at least for the moment, from the Kilmar Abrego Garcia case, many Americans are still fuming over the actions of the MS-13 Caucus, where five Democrats flew to the illegal immigrant's home country of El Salvador to plead for his return to the United States. Abrego Garcia, as we've reported, is an alleged MS-13 gang member, an accused domestic abuser, and suspected human smuggler who was deported back to El Salvador by the Trump administration in mid-March. Because he has been incorrectly described by the press as a "wrongly deported Maryland man," Democrats have made him their poster child for opposition to President Trump's deportation policies. Reps. Robert Garcia (CA), Maxwell Frost (FL), Yassamin Ansari (AZ), and Maxine Dexter (OR) traveled to the country a week ago, hot on the heels of Sen. Chris Van Hollen (D-MD) concluding his own margarita-sipping taxpayer-funded trip without success. For the record, the House Democrats' trip wasn't funded by taxpayer money thanks to Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY). Though the House Dems, too, were unsuccessful in their mission, it wasn't without much virtue-signaling on their part, with various videos and photos posted from the trip. But as first revealed by The Daily Caller, it appears that some of the imagery those House Democrats used for backdrops in their postings was deliberate, perhaps to conceal the fact that they were staying at a luxury Hilton hotel the entire time they were there https://redstate.com/sister-toldjah/2025/04/29/report-four-house-dems-who-traveled-to-el-salvador-n2188475
  10. 'Take It Down': Melania Trump-Backed Cyber Bill Passes House, Heads to President's Desk By Bob Hoge Melania Trump has been lobbying for months for the TAKE IT DOWN Act (Tools to Address Known Exploitation by Immobilizing Technological Deepfakes on Websites and Networks), a measure that would crack down on “deep fake” porn—explicit AI-generated images depicting real people—and other nonconsensual posting of intimate pictures. On Monday, her work paid off as the House of Representatives passed the bill by a whopping 409-2 margin. It now heads to the president’s desk for his signature (and I’m betting he won’t use an autopen): A quick summary of the Take it Down Act: Defines Non-Consensual Intimate Imagery (NCII). Gives the FTC the authority to govern social media sites via the courts and fines in regards to NCII. If the FTC finds an issue or a complaint is filed the FTC can, via the courts, enforce fees or compliance with their decision. It does insert “reasonable person” verbiage as a way to protect 1A rights. It doesn’t define or explicitly protect “encrypted” conversations. https://redstate.com/bobhoge/2025/04/29/take-it-down-melania-trump-backed-cyber-bill-passes-house-heads-to-presidents-desk-n2188481
