  1. Yes, trust me, it was intended entirely as a joke.
  2. This kid from Oakland that showed great promise a few years ago was cut. Has received rave reviews in the past from some of most knowledgable names in the game. Just needs to be given a chance. His name is Trent Edwards, what say you?
  3. Yeah, you're so right. The second preseason game of the year tells us all we need to know.
  4. Shut up already about the refs! It's stinkin preseason!!
  5. I see this as Chan's wake up call to everyone that he expects more from everyone. He stressed this several times this week in how disappointed he was with the interior guys. Now is the time to shake things up. I do believe Levitre will back with the starters soon.
  6. I'd like to see a birth certificate to prove this is really your birthday.
  7. Highlights are fine, ....BUT I hate the rediculous beginning! Some "High School" kid making a show of what college is going to "fortunate" enough to pamper him for the 2 or 3 years before he flunks out of school, gets busted, gets injured, or actually gets drafted and hits paydirt. Than goes on to be a bust, gets busted, gets injured in training camp, or becomes a bigger pampered punk. Pleeasssssee!
  8. After watching this I'm pretty much sold on Darius as our pick. 3-4 lineup Darius RDE, Williams NT, LDE Either Edwards or Carrington. 4-3 lineup RDE Darius, DT Troup, DT Williams, LDE Edwards or Carrington. If Darius transitions well and Carrington emerges this line could be really good.
  9. I don't necessarily agree. Trent Edwards was Gailey's choice and Chan corrected that really quick. I don't see Chan letting his pride get in the way of making a change, whenever, and where ever needed. During the season this change would not be made, but now that the season is over, I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if it happens. Bottom line is Chan and Nix can't afford another experimental disaster next year. If there are "experienced" and "suscessful" DC available, and they make the Bills D better I think Chan and Buddy will go after them.
  10. The title of your post says all that is needed about the type of person you are. Even if your post made ANY sense, and assuming you were correct about some inane point you made a few years back, what is the need to bring it up here? It suggests you don't have much going on in the real world and need to boost your self esteem to a group of people who don't know what a loser you really are. Only problem is this type of post makes that point very obvious.
  11. This first comment I made was not intended in anyway to be disrespectful. It was stating the obvious. Living outside of Buffalo for the past 30 years I don't see much at all of RW. Just an occasional press conference clip. I was simply surprised at how frail he looks. And yes I understand he is 92. I just picture him in my mind as he looked back in the 70s and 80s. That short video shot of him was a jolt.
  12. I'm sorry but Ralph looks really, really, REALLY old. Not a flattering clip of him shuffling into the press conference.
  13. First, let me begin by saying that last year at this time I thought Fritz was not even worthy of being a third string QB on a bad team. I thought he was "aweful". When the Bills chose him to replace Edwards after week 2 I thought the Bills would be lucky to win 1 or 2 games. Like many I'll admit I was dead wrong. And not only that I'm beginning to see him as possibly being one of those few QBs that makes everyone around him much better. Exhibit A - How much better does this OL look since Fritz took over from Edwards. The players have pretty much been the same, but they don't look the same. They had a reputation as one of the worst lines in the league. Now all of a sudden not many people are screaming for a new LT. Bell looks pretty decent now. Exhibit B - Four unknown WRs looked liked seasoned veterans today. Stevie Johnson looks like a pro bowler, David Nelson looks like a solid #2 WR. Donald Jones solid. These same guys were unable to get open for Trent. These guys benefited from single coverage because Evans was supposedly being double covered. Lee doesn't play, and they all look better. Hmmmm, maybe Fritz had something to do with that. Exhibit C - The team as a whole looked to be pretty pathetic at the beginning of the season. Now no one wants to play against this team. I am really beginning to see Fritz as that unique type of player that makes everyone else look so much better. I just hope that this doesn't end anytime soon.
  14. If anyone deserves criticism it is the FO and coaching staff. The FO for drafting a kid 9th overall to sit behind TWO 1000 yd RBs. The coaching staff for not putting him in a position to showcase his ability. Now, with Jackson as a VERY good all purpose back, it seems as though the only chance CJ receives is to give Freddy a breather. Not many backs, including very good vetereans, ever do much in that role.
  15. There are some here who have already decided that Spiller has been a big disappointment, or even a bust. To you I say look at what Darren McFadden has become this year. Prior to this year he did almost nothing as the 4th overall pick a few years ago. This year he's tearing it up. Freddy Jackson turns 30 this year and will be hitting the wall that ALL rbs hit eventually. He probably has 2 more good years in him. When he hits that wall Spiller should be more than ready to break through.
  16. Where the hell did that come from? Man you are a piece of work! Anybody in here making excuses for Fitz? In the immortal words of Darryl Talley, "This is a team dammit!" Nice try at stirring sh#t up.
  17. Man, how'd I miss that. In that case the damn Bills better win or heads need to role. (Sarcasm)
  18. If they lose, even get blown out, by the Steelers this weekend. A lot of positive vibes going on around here this week. People are realizing that the Bills are heading in the right direction. Playing their hearts out, never quiting, a lot of promising young players, a gritty QB, a coach who seems to have a long range plan. But, I've been to this forum long enough to know that all it takes is a blow out this weekend at the hands of the Steelers to change all this. Just try to keep the obvious in mind. The Steelers are a top level team, very good QB, great D, playing at home, need to win. The Bills are SUPPOSED to lose. We all hope they can pull off the UPSET, but if they don't, IT'S NOT THE END OF THE WORLD. Just keep a proper perspective and enjoy the game. GO BILLS!!!
  19. Not a single team we have played so far has a losing record. The worst is Jacksonville at 4-4. What's my point? The Bills are not as bad as their record suggests. Am I fine with the Bills being 0-7? Hell No! But face it folks their schedule has been BRUTAL so far. Next up Chicago, a team on a slide, but still another team with a winning record 4-3. Can't wait to see Cincinnati, Detroit, and Cleveland. Because the rest of the schedule is all still BRUTAL.
  20. Like most everyone else I'm more than a little surprised to see the level of play that Fitz has shown over the past 4 weeks. I really, really hope he proves me and a lot of people dead wrong about thinking he was nothing more than a decent backup QB. The Bills need this to be the case so they can move on and start filling some other serious problems. But I can't help not thinking about what Derek Anderson did a few years ago with the Browns. A pro bowl year had everyone fooled into thinking he was going to be the man in Cleveland for a long while. Hasn't done anything since that ONE big year. Man, I want Fitz to be the real deal!
  21. If Aaron Schobel could make a career out of compiling meaningless sacks, while being a throw rug against the run, I guess Maybin might be able to put up a decent number of sacks as a situational pass rushing, under sized LB. My GUESS is he finishes with 10.5 for the season. Just hope we don't see him on any goal line stances.
  22. Like it a lot. Pity the fool who don't.
  23. Do people like you and some of the others who responded even read posts. Or do you just have programmed responses to what you believe the general theme of a post is and hit the send button. Where did I even suggest this would be an easy, automatic transaction. My heading said it all, I would like to see Denver, or any other team offer something worthwhile in exchange for what we have, a surplus of RBs. Will it happen? Very likely not. Would it help this team fill a lot of other weak areas, yes. Would Denver, or any other team, make this offer today? No. Would they if they become desparate enough? That is the only way it could happen. Some of you folks are a joke, looking for things to ponce on. And if this is something that has been discussed, and it probably is, sorry but I don't come here 5 times a day, or 5 times a week even. Maybe 2 to 3 times a week. Probably miss out on some very HIGH level, inside info that so many of you friends of Bills employees are privy to.
  24. Denver seems to be seeing a RB go down to injuries almost every other day. First Moreno, than Buckhalter. They are getting desparate, picking Justin Fargas and Lendale White. One of the starting backs right now is Bruce Hall, who if I remember is a Bills castoff. If any team might be willing to offer a decent draft pick for Lynch it could be the Broncos if their RB situation gets any worse. I'm not really high on trading Lynch, but if a team makes a good enough offer you take when its available.
