  1. And this fact also could reveal a great deal! Since Dennison has worked with both Taylor and Siemian if Taylor is released and Siemian is indeed ends up in Buffalo that would tell you what Dennison thinks of both QBs.
  2. If Dennison is pushing to bring him to Buffalo that speaks volumes. That means he has seen enough in the kid to risk is reputation as a coach with a new team and a new boss. We as fans are quick to pass ourselves off as the experts who think we know more than the coaches or the GMs. Again, if Siemian truly sucked, as some on here have professed, than why would Dennison want to bring him to Buffalo. Now maybe this whole issue is no issue at all. Maybe it's just another unsubstantiated rumor with no basis of truth. But if it ends up that he comes to Buffalo that says that Dennison saw enough of him in Denver to convince his new boss to bring him here.
  3. At this point I only want the Bills to win out, or completely fall apart. Even if they win out and finish 10-6 it will be hard to overlook the major issues that exist with this entire coaching staff. If they don't win out I think the only way major changes are made is if the team falsl apart and lose at least 4 out of 5 remaining games. That is very possible if they lose next week to Houston. The next two are on the road again and the Redskins are becoming one of the leagues bigger surprises. Philly on the road could easily go bad also. The Bills beat the Cowboys at home, just because. A loss at home to the Jets who might still be in the playoff hunt and a 6-10 record could be the final straw. This team has far to much talent "right now" that can't be wasted on an inferior coaching staff. So this staff either gets it's act together and somehow the Bills win out or the next best thing for all Bills fans is for the team to collapse which brings drastic change, starting with Rex. As a lifetime Bills fan I will be hoping against hope for a 10-6 finish....but, ...really?
  4. I believe the same held true with the investigation during the Saints bountygate scandal. I don't believe Payton was ever implicated in the investigation report that proved he was knowledgeable of what was going on. Yet, he was suspended for allowing things within the organization to get so out of control. Maybe I'm wrong in how I remember that incident. However, as I've already stated Payton did not have any past history, Belichick does.
  5. Interesting that no one is talking about possible actions against Bill Belichick as a result of deflategate. Sean Payton was suspended an entire year as the head coach of the Saints during bountygate, and the primary reason was for allowing an atmosphere that permitted his DC and players to do what they did. To my knowledge, Payton had no previous issues in his past prior to bountygate, whereas Belichick has already had spygate. The commissioner has stated in the past that "ignorance is not a defense", and I believe Payton's suspension was one of the occasions. Stands to reason that Belichick deserves to be held just as accountable as the head coach of a team that now has two separate scandals involving cheating. What say you?
  6. Well if he's not sitting at home watching Sunday NFL on TV, I guess the next best "bad" thing is having him standing on the Jets sideline watching Geno making Orton look like Rogers. Standing by to see if this actually happens. Can you imagine what the Ralph will be like the first time this SOB returns for a game?? It makes me shiver!!
  7. Colin Cowherd said the Jets should sign him "yesterday"! That carries a lot of clout. = sarcasm
  8. Not to mention how he left all his Assistant coaches hanging out to dry. I'd love to know how that is being viewed throughout the league? Well maybe Nate will still come over to the house on Sundays to watch the games with big brother Dougy.
  9. It seemed immediately after Marone quit on his players New Years Eve he was heading to the Jets. A lot of indicators seemed to point to that outcome. However, after seeing the NY media's negative reaction to this happening that is now not quite so certain. The Jets are interviewing a lot of other candidates who I could easily see them hire instead of Marone. There is word the Falcons may be interested also, but again he is just one of a bunch of others they are interested in. I would think with his "average" record as a HC, combined with a lot of the negative national press he's received on quitting on his team, combined with reports that he trashed the team on his way out, other teams (Owners) may at least be somewhat skeptical about taking the SOB into their fold. I REALLY hope the sh*t for brains is stuck watching the NFL on TV every Sunday from here on out. Maybe he can go back to Syracuse, oh wait, never mind. How about the UB Bulls, oh wait! Maybe Canada?
  10. He does work for ESPN. Have you ever tried to listen to him on Sundays as an NFL radio color commentator. He has to be one of the all time worst! I simply cannot listen to him. He makes Shannon Sharpe appear to wax eloquent.
  11. OK, I see I have been pummeled about starting this thread, probably deserved it too. My point was not to point out that EJ was doing something strange or stupid. What I was trying to say was I just had the impression that he was just pretending to know what he was doing. Give the impression he was in control, in charge, aware of what the defense was throwing at him. Than the ball is snapped and the world around him starts spinning out of control.
  12. I'm fully aware that almost all QBs are doing this. It also suggests the QB is reading the defense and adjusting the play to the defensive formation. I just believe EJ (and many other QBs in the league) are doing nothing more than trying to look the part of a QB who really knows whats going on.
  13. No, not pointing his finger at his teammates, although he does seem to do that subtlely at times. What I'm refering to is his constant moving forward from the shotgun to point at what always seems to be the same spot on the defense. I can't help it but I always feel he is like a kid trying to imitate his favorite hero, Payton Manning. I keep waiting to hear him shout out "Omaha!" I know this might feel like I'm kicking him while he is down, but lately this has REALLY been something I found to be extremely annoying. Maybe it's just me?
  14. Remember how bad the Bills Oline was when Edwards was the QB? Remember how much better they looked when Fitz took over? With EJ calling signals the current Oline has also looked pretty bad at times. I have a strong sense the Oline might not look so bad with an experienced signal caller like Orton "in charge." One of the biggest knocks on Trent Edwards, and EJ, is they are so damn indecisive. They both take too long to read the defense, and than panic with check downs. For all his flaws (arm strength, inaccurate) Fitz was quick to make a decision and usually quickly recognized the hot read. His flaws however often keep him from getting the results desired. My hope is Orton's experience and his ability to read defenses much faster than EJ has been to will cause the Oline to look alot better than they have the past few games. Go Bills!!
  15. I would say the days of regularily seeing Bills players going to the Hall are over for the foreseeable future. The only one on that list that is even worthy of serious consideration is Tasker. I see him going the route traveled by Ray Guy. He will eventually go in but it will be a long time down the road. Just as Guy was the first punter ever to be elected, Tasker will be, and deserves to be, the first special teamer to go in. But he will be made to wait just as long as Guy waited.
  16. While driving home from work this morning I was listening to ESPN radio. I almost always listen to fox sports radio but since Greenburg and Golick were off today I gave it a shot. I listened to Herm Edwards spend about 20 minutes explaining why Sam has not been picked up by any team. "He is strictly an edge rusher, does not play special teams, would have to play in a 4/3 defense." Not once was it even suggested he and the media being a distraction. ESPN trying hard now to cover their asses.
  17. Yeah, let's get rid of the only backup we have on the team that knows the playbook just before the season starts. We have a starter that NEVER gets hurt, and we just picked up a GREAT backup in Palmer who has been with the team less than a week and has already shown he can throw INTs with the best of them. BRILLIANT!
  18. There has been a lot of negative attention given (and rightfully so) to the play of the backup QBs while the REAL problem with the poor performance on Offense (EJ) continues to be coddled. Believe me, I want EJ to succeed so badly, because everything with this team rests with him. But he needs a serious fire lit under his ass. I see a kid who thinks the job is his no matter what. No pressure to improve his play, no accountability. It seems as though everyone is afraid to hurt his feelings, or his ego. If he is this sensitive the Bills really blew it when they chose him as the franchise QB. He plays poorly (the norm) and stands up in post game press conferences and says he thinks he played well, "Just a few drops". What?!! Let's be honest, if EJ was playing half way decent, we all could care less about the backups. But everyone is worried with the backups because it just reminds us all (including Marone) that we have no alternative to EJ if he continues to stink up the place with his indecision and off the mark passes.
  19. Winner Winner Chicken Dinner!! I think you may have nailed it. Of course everything is speculation but this scenario makes a lot of sense. Hope this doesn't end the same for Marone as it did for Wade when he was given an ultimatum.
  20. I agree with you in that he has no business being the 2nd string QB on this team. But that is on the coaching staff and GM for allowing this situation to exist. My position is he has the potential to one day be a decent backup if given a chance. And regarding Saturday's game and the two minute offense he ran. I actually thought he was very effective during that drive and almost finished it off with a very nice pass to Hagan that was less than a foot of endzone space away from a nice TD drive.
  21. I really don't get why so many are quick to jump all over Jeff Tuel? For an undrafted QB only in his second year I think he has shown the potential to be a decent backup. He looked REALLY good last year in preseason. So much so that many were calling for him to be given a shot to compete with EJ as a starter. He was forced into the game with Cleveland last year when EJ got hurt, and laid an egg. He stunk. But that has happened to the best backup QBs. We all think of Frank Reich as a great backup because of the greatest comback in NFL history against Houston. But I also remember many other times he was forced in action where I would cringe when he dropped back to pass. Many who jump all over Tuel as a terrible QB point to the pick six INT against KC that turned the game around just before half time. But three things need to be pointed out. First, up to that fateful pass he was actually playing better than EJ did in any game last year. Second, that pass was intended for Stevie Johnson, who broke off the designed pattern and freelanced (as most people finally acknowledge he did routinely), resulting in the defender stepping in front of the pass and taking it to the house. Third, the pass play should have NEVER been called to begin with. All of that was a recipe for disaster for any rookie QB. As far as this year I think he has played the best out of all the Bills QBs. I know that is setting the bar low, but in my opinion he has shown more confidence, poise, mobility, and willingness to throw the ball down field than EJ. Don't get me wrong, I'm not in anyway calling for Tuel to be the Bills starting QB. That position belongs to EJ until he proves he doesn't deserve it any longer. EJ needs to be given a fair shot at developing into what we all hope he can. But I think the same holds true for Jeff Tuel in developing into a decent backup. At this point I think I've seen more out of Tuel becoming that decent backup, than I have in EJ becoming the franchise QB we all hope he will become.
