Why doesn't Kurt deserve to be in? -

If he didn't have to live in Archie and Peyton's shadow he might be more well thought of. I think he's a HOF maybe not first ballot but he was an above average QB in the Jim Kelly model. -
Yes we need help but why 1st Round WR's scare me

Clowney and Quinn are probably the top draws but I like Mario Addison and Emmanuel Ogbah. Markus Golden and Arik Armstead could be guys in the mix that might be worth looking at. -

Yet is the 4th best WR and 6th best edge rusher a better group than 4th best edge rusher the 6th best WR? With the way they talk about this draft I think the latter plan is a better approach. -
I remember reading this article before the draft and having reservations about Watkins. Yet I felt Eric Ebron was a better option. https://www.si.com/2014/04/15/sammy-watkins-clemson-nfl-draft

What do you expect from a rookie WR? To me a good rookie WR year for a guy who's behind Brown and Beasley in the pecking order is 30-40 catches maybe 600 yards and 4-5 TDs. I think we can get those numbers from a guy like Pittman Jr in Round 2 and have gone on record I like a Curtis Weaver in Round 1 in my early draft analysis.
-
Then we look for a WR in 2022, again it's collecting the best group of players and with WR depth in this draft being better than most I think you can afford to wait to take one. If we keep our 9 picks I have no issues double dipping on WR. Round 2 and Round 6 ideally.
-
If he can develop into a Kenny Golladay I'd be more than happy yet I think we be better off with an Edge Rusher and getting someone like Michael Pittman Jr in Round 2.
-
Wasn't this what most said about Sammy Watkins? Except that he lacked the ideal size of guys like AJ Green, Julio and other top WRs?
-
In high school he ran a 4.75; he better have improved that otherwise he won't be a 1st Rounder, I'd think he'd have to run at least a 4.5

To be fair Zay has good size and good speed, played well at the Sr Bowl and we had his former coach as his coach the first year we had him. -

Golladay is no slouch either as with his 65 for 1190 and 11 TDs this season and has the size we need at 6-4 214. -

What about Steve Bono or Elvis Grbac? -
I admit I learned a few things about Hernandez watching this. Yet the documentary left me with more questions than answers. As I never got an understanding of Hernandez's point of view but maybe that was the point of it all. It was done well but I felt there were parts that could have been done better as I would have liked it had they actually interviewed his brother/mother or fiance to get an idea of Hernandez the man sure the phone call painted a picture but again it wasn't a complete one. They leave it open as to the reason behind why Hernandez killed and perhaps we will never know and the only one who does is Hernandez. Part of me wonders if it was more drug related aka his dealer made him do it but the documentary didn't explore that instead they focused on the his possible closeted homosexuality, lack of love from his parents and the CTE. I'd recommend it but wouldn't call it ground breaking.

WR is not always an immediate contributor because it takes time for guys to adjust to the NFL, now some do great and some don't. That's part of the reason am resistant to take one in Round 1 when we can get a more talented DE/LB in Round 1 and still get a quality WR in Round 2. As the draft is about collecting talent and developing it to assist short/long term. I'm not sure a rookie WR really can contribute considering he'd be 3rd on the pecking order behind Brown/Beasley. Yes, we could use a tall guy in the red zone but not sure how much athleticism of round 1 vs round 2 is a major impact all things considered. -
Pittman is my choice for WR to take in Round 2. He has the size we lack and could develop into a top 2 WR over time.
