    I agree we are a better team, if from HC alone ... but, so much depends on a bounce one way or another, game momentum, bad calls for or against us, etc. etc. We could be a 25% better team and still finish 8-8. Or we could be a marginally better team and go 11-5. We could also be a marginally better team and go 7-9. That's why game day is so much fun!

    I no long care what Polian has to say. He was asked to come help us, agreed to come and then pulled out at the last minute. Now he can help us by shutting up.

    Stone-cold Dick Jauron, because of his "winning in the NFL is hard" acceptance of mediocrity. We were stuck in a 7-9 fornext loop. And Chan Gailey, for being the anti-Jauron in word but not in deed.

    I'm sure Whaley is thinking of a number where Spikes would be worth what is left of cap space. If Spikes will agree to that number he'll be back. I hope so, for the simple reason the guy seems to WANT to be here. That goes a long way both in coming to an agreeable number and in game play when the season starts.
