  1. So hard to catch a pass that hit both of ur hands...
  2. Danny Trevathan got 4 for 24.5 with 12 guaranteed. He was an ILB for the best defense in football and was also known for his coverage ability. That seems like a fair assessment of his value. You basically pick a brown and keep him. You can keep Zach this year and lose Preston next year, or vice versa. The D-line depth we have with dareus, douzable, bryant, washington, and worthy makes Kyle leaving fairly likely IMO. Keeping those other guys would be cheaper as they're largely relatively young. The only thing that doesn't count is players that you actually release from under contract. They do look at salary largely with this formula though, so despite brown and alexander being great players, they may not net us more than a 6th or 7th.
  3. Easy to say that - but he has like 9 kids. Kids are in schools. He also added it so that he gets the choice of where to go should they move on from him. We can't trade dareus because it would put us massively over the salary cap this year. We can't even trade/release him next year as it costs more on our cap than keeping him would.
  4. I think we'd more likely trade for Bellamy or Thompson... In which case we may as well just bring up a guy from the PS.
  5. Brady Ben Ryan Carr Brees Stafford close for 6. I think Brady's 12 game numbers will approach some of these guys 16 game numbers.
  6. And he's going to waive his FULL no-trade clause to come to Buffalo... They probably lose Jeffrey next year - and they probably get a 3rd for the comp. pick. Its not a great return, but its about what people would likely be offering.
  7. I'm not banking on it - but he keeps coming back. Can we change his name to Invisible goodwin instead? Maybe some more of the wacky 2 QB stuff unfortunately. I prefer it in the shotgun vs. the under center stuff. But if we want to run a few wishbone triple options or something with EJ, i'm cool with it...
  8. Well having pulled my hamstring a few times - You really can't run very well. As for Watkins foot - he was playing with it... just constantly limping around so what was the point? He wasn't the player we needed him to be.
  9. The bears will get a mid round comp pick for him walking anyway. So assume they want a first, 2nd, or two mid round picks.
  10. It's their current cap hit. Garcon is in the last year of a 5 year deal so his cap hit is a bit higher. I like him as an option if we lose Woods - or even keep woods. I'd like to draft someone as well, but our depth is so bad right now that we need some real guys out there. We only have 3 under contract for next year and 1 has yet to play, 1 is on IR, and the other is Powell.
  11. Seems to have a much better pulse of the game and the team. Not needing to call a specific defense on 4th and 1 - reminding them to get the safety in. All good stuff.
  12. 3 passing TDs. In 6 games. Even if you throw out the pats game. 3 passing TDs in 5 games. Still pretty impressive. And of those 3 - 2 were broken coverage plays to Wallace and Smith.
  13. I think it would be more amusing - if none of them did... and we still obliterated them. Agreed - White on white, or blue on white. That's what i like. The all red is fine for the once a year.
  14. If we're without woods, spreading the field will become an issue. Clay is too valuable as an in-line blocker for us to split him out wide all game long. Bush in the slot running a few different routes or a few different plays can help us. Especially if we find ourselves behind. If McCoy can't go, Gillislee and Williams should still see the majority of the carries, but I'd like to see Bush get some snaps.
  15. Reggie Bush time... Been saving him for this one.
  16. To be fair - he has Suh and Wake. They're pretty good...
  17. 12 million well spent!!
  18. Also Zach brown missed a few plays earlier in the game so i imagine Humber stepped in there. I think Mcree and Spikes are out of the rotation, and purely depth at this juncture.
  19. Landry and Mettenberger. There's talent there, but i just see INTs.
  20. Graham and Kyle are the most likely two. 3.1 in dead money for about 10 million in net space. Plus the 6 we carry over thats 16 mil in space, plus whatever we were under the cap before. Certainly enough to play with to get some receivers, and a new corner.
  21. Thats probably about the same or similar hit% in that round in general. I just worry about giving a big contract to a guy who seems to be in it for himself, doesn't tackle well, and can be inconsistent. We'll have a ton of holes at WR, as well as Mills and Z.Brown to re-sign. It stinks to lose a good player, but there will be players released from contracts who we could target at that position, as well as wide receiver. By going after guys who are released, instead of free agents, we can keep the comp pick we'd get for gilmore. Our WR depth chart next year: Watkins Listenbee Powell
  22. I just don't think he's that much better than what we could get for less than half of what he wants. I think he's good, maybe even great at his position. But Corey white was a 680K cap hit this year... Is he significantly better than him? Can we find a guy in the 2nd or 3rd who can step in and contribute? Probably. I'd rather keep Z. Brown/lorax and use that money on other people/positions.
  23. They do have a clear road to the super bowl. 1 - They currently have the best record in the league, and are a game up on everyone. They'll probably be 2 up on Pittsburgh + the tiebreaker after this week. Then they get the Jets twice, Miami, 49ers, and rams. Those are slam dunks for them. That right there puts them at 11. They'd need to lose to Buffalo, Seattle, Denver, and Baltimore to finish 11-5. They will win at least 2 of those. That gets them 13. Which will probably take home field in the AFC. 2 - They have the best QB in the league, and their team is relatively healthy unlike last year. 3 - They're money at home. 4 - In the playoffs, if they take home field, they will go to the super bowl.
