  1. I don't know if you have been watching the NFL lately, but you need a QB to win in this league.... And the Qb we have in Buffalo is a great guy and a good filler and back-up don't get me wrong but he is not the QB of the future....
  2. I am sorry for liking Tannehill. I think he is smart, tall, athletic, can read defense real well, throws a pretty ball, and we can use him right away (maybe not as a QB but as a WR). Who cares if he has small hands, a lot of guys in the NFL do, he is just a football player to me and will do whatever the coaches ask him to do to make the team better. Plus he was in a very similiar offense while at Texas A&M that the Bills run now. Can make the short throws and even the long ones.
  3. Sorry guys I didn't proof read chang this "I really think he will be aggressive this free agent period, signing a stud at (DE, WR, or LB probably two of the three) and using the first pick to fill a major need with whatever they don't sign picking or a LT." to read "I really think he will be aggressive this free agen tperiod, signing a stud at (DE, WR, or LB probably two of the three) and using the first pick to fill a major need with whatver they don't sing or picking a LT."
  4. The Colts take Luck The Skins take RG3 The Dolphins sign Manning The Browns sign Fynn or The Colts take Luck The Skins take RG3 The Broncos sign Manning and trade Tebow to either the Dolphins (putting butts in the seats and I think the Fins like to run the ball more anyway) or the Browns (could use a spark and can see them doing this since they can't get one of the top two in this draft) The Browns or Dolphins (whoever losses out on tebow) sign Flynn If either of these two scenarios happens (I think the first is more likely), do you think the Bills would take Tannehill in the second if he falls to them? I would go for it, because the way Nix is signing our own free agents, I really think he will be aggressive this free agent period, signing a stud at (DE, WR, or LB probably two of the three) and using the first pick to fill a major need with whatever they don't sign picking or a LT. I would love to see that happen.
  5. Marcilus is Maybin 2.0. Sorry dude I had to go there.
  6. I would rather have M. Wallace (someone who the pats covet). If we can take him from under the Pats that would be Franchise altering. Beat your division first and the playoffs are butter.
  7. So just who are the top two?? Some say Luck and RG3 and others say Luck and Tannehill. So who is it? I for one say Luck and Tannehill being able to watch Tannehill a lot and seeing him out play RG3 two years in a row in head to head compition. Plus Tannehill played in a very similiar offense for Texas A&M to what the Bills use as their base. So I think that would be a no brainer if he is there at 10. Plus there really isn't two much talent in this draft if you think about it and think about other years. Last years draft really have 3 number 1's; Cam, Von, and Marcel. You couldn't go wrong. We need a QB period.
  8. I agree, not 9M a year just move within a million of what he wants or pay him up front and let the amount of money decrease in years played.
  9. The sad thing is we let Stevie walk, he signs with the Patriots and they own the division for another 10 years, because lets face it Stevie is the only reciever in the league that owns Revies from the Jets, and the Pats build their teams to win the division first then see what happens in the playoffs. That is what we need to do. Not compare Stevie to the other recievers in the league but compare him to our divisional foes and go from there. I really think we are going to sign him because you can't count on VJ or someone else coming here and I think the office knows everyone in Western New York and Bills fans everywhere are tired of starting over. Pay the man and let's move on please.
  10. I don't see us taking a chance on Mercilus unless he is there in the second. Reminds me too much of the other one year wonder we drafted and was an epic failure. We need to draft safe is the first round, a starter for at least 3 years for one of the major colleges playing defense in the SEC (Ala or LSU) those guys are the safest bet. Or a QB like Tannehill so we can start looking for our QB of the future which we need to draft early and not in the 4th round or later.
  11. If T-hill hangs out until the second round do we trade our second and a fourth to the Colts to get him? I would.... Especially if he hangs out that long, because we would already have another need taken care of and our QB of the future. Yes he won't step in and play right away but he will be learning the offense and play our Wildcat QB so Smith can concentrate strictly on WR. I think it would be an all-around win for us and the colts. Plus Fitz needs someone to push him right now he has no competition at all and a sixth or seventh rounder won't scare him...
  12. If he is there at 10 I say we take him. Let's face it we aren't going anywhere until we get a QB. And I say pick a QB in the first round until we get it right. We can get a pass rusher in the second. I think Tannehill is the real deal and will fit nicey in Chan's offense. He played in a Pro style offense for 4 years. Even if he wasn't the QB he was a WR in the same offense.
  13. Do you think haveing Pete here will improve his game?
  14. Here is a list of FA we should go after including our own in no particular order Bills: Johnson Chandler Urbik Rinehart Bell Other: Anthony Spencer DE/OLB Cowboys (i live in Texas and see a lot of Cowboys stuff this guy has a couple of good weeks and a couple of bad, can't seem to put it together. On his good days he is all over the highlights down here and his bad weeks are really bad. I think we can get him reasonablly priced and a change of scenery and less pressure will do him good) Cliff Avril DE Lions (don't know much about him cause I don't watch much of the Lions but he seems good on paper) Dwayne Bowe WR Chiefs(I like him over Vincent as a WR FA stud we need to be our #1 although I think it is going to be Vincent because of Buddy and Shawne, but let's not forget Chan and Bowe's connection either) Jared Gaither LT Chargers If we don't sign Bell i think we should go after this guy. Cortland Finnegan CB Titans Many say he is going to reunite with Fisher in STL but I would love to have him in Buffalo Blue along with his attitude especially when playing the Patriots.
  15. I think Kelsay, Edwards, and Johnson are gone. We sign a middle of the pack DE FA with some upside at a reasonable price. We draft a DE or LT in the first (best available) and in the second we draft a DE or QB (best available) and if we don't get a DE in either of the first two rounds we draft one in the third. Our DT starters will be Williams and Dareus backing up them will be Troup and Heard our DE starters will be Carrington and a Draft pick/FA backing up them will be Draft pick/FA and Moats Here is a food for thought, what if Moats added 10 lbs and we moved him to DE and use his best attribute (rushing the passer) I compared him to Freeny (6'1", 268lbs, 4.40 forty, 40" vertical) Moats (6'2", 250lbs, 4.57 forty, 36.5 vertical). I know build and stats don't mean anything and we all know Moats is just a football player and can get after the QB. I think it is worth a try and I think he can be good there, although he might have to put on about 10lbs; and I think he would be great in passing situations.
  16. I don't know I think our defense will be ok next year. If some guys come back from injured reserve (like Williams, Troup, Marriman, and McGee) although I think we will cut McGee and maybe Marriman, but if just williams and troup come back healthy that might be good. I think Troup will be better in a 4-3 as DT and Marcel is athletic enough to move to DE and get a good pass ruch if you ask me. Our O will be good too with Wood back we need to sign Urbik and maybe Reinhart (however you spell it i am too lazy to look it up right now), Jackson, Easley (maybe he will come about and be the number 2 we thought he could be) we still need to draft another reciever, Parrish if we keep him.
  17. I for one, believe and wont be upset if the Bills draft a QB in the first round until they find their man. Yes we have other pressing needs but a QB is the main ingrediant in any Championship. We haven't had a QB here since Kelly and Fitz isn't the answer. As much as I love to watch Fitz throw the ball and take chances with it (the gun slinger) he is not the answer. I say draft a QB in the first weather it be Luck, RGIII, or Tannehill. Take you chances with one of them and move on, because no matter who we draft, we still need a QB. And with the way the league is right now, a Franchise QB will last you 10-12 years, a pass rusher maybe 5, a reciever maybe 7 (those are the other positions we need to address in the first IMO if we sign Bell if not the LT could be added). Look at Tom Brady or Payton Manning for that matter both went through two completely different teams and tons of recievers. So as much as I want other players on our team I wont be upset if we take a QB and QB in the first and test him out until we find our franchise QB, or make a bold move this draft trade some picks away and get our man. Because until we get a Franchise QB we will be chasing our tails..
  18. I think Urbik is more of a priority then Chandler.
  19. I would rather take VJ and draft heavy on pass rushers. It is easier to develop a pass rusher in this game and much harder to develop a reciever. I would rather throw VJ in the mix at WR and draft some college guy and say get after him, the QB i am saying.
  20. I don't know about you guys but I was impressed with Alameda Ta'amu DT Wash 6'3" 341lbs. I know we have a lot of DT on this team but I see S. Johnson and D. Edwards going to the waste side. This guy doesn't have much of a pass rusher, but a great run stuffer and can eat up blockers. I think if he is there in the forth round we snag him. I want our D-line to be big and powerful, don't care if they can rush the passer or not. I know we mix it up alot on the D-line but can you imagine a 3-4 D-line with Williams and Darues playing end and Ta'amu in the middle eating up blockers. I think that would be impressive. Or in a 4-3 with Dareus, Williams, Ta'amu, and Kelsay/Couples (if we get lucky and snag him in the first). It would remind me of our line in the late 90's the last time we could stop the run with Pat Williams and Sam Adams anchoring our line.
  21. How is Tannehill a mid level QB when he beat and outplayed RGIII head to head two years in a row?
  22. NO...I don't want another Rob Johnson, with his one game wonder.
  23. I don't know about you guys but I am having such a hard time watching this game (LSU vs ALA). I just don't get it. You have to win you conference to be considered a Champion. I am not an OK State fan, but i feel they should be playing in this game. I mean why don't the Red Sox and Yankees play in the world series every year. They are the two best teams in baseball. And every time they play it is exciting. Oh it's because they are in the same division. Plus who would have thought Denver would have won yesterday before the game. Nobody gave them a chance and look what happened.... I am just saying it shouldn't be LSU vs. ALA it should be LSU vs. another conference champ is all.
  24. If Nix retires I am not for hiring retreads. We have a very capable and highly sought after GM waiting in the wings in Whaley.
  25. 1. C. Upshaw LB Alabama 2. R. Tannehill QB Texas A&M (we might be able to swith Tannehill and Whitney around need to get a feel for the draft first and how the QB's are falling) 3. M. Whitney DE Illinois (has the size to play OLB and a natural pass rusher) I dobt he is will there though I can dream can't I. 4. C. Glenn OT Georgia 4. M. Egnew TE Missouri 5. J. Fuller WR Texas A&M 6. B. Mosley OT Auburn 7. B. Peters S Northwestern (I like his size (6'4" 220) and speed), I think he can put on a pounds and play like a younger B. Scott. LB/S
