...I dunno if any of this is surprising. Regardless of who it is, the media tends to call teams on 7-game win streaks unstoppable, and ignore the nuances of their games. They did that with us last year. Heck they did that with us when we were on a 4-game win streak THIS year.
Sure- they're using the streak as a way to validate the world's 20-year-old obsession with Belichick, but, I mean, they're just milking the situation for a story line. What else are they supposed to do with it?

I'm connecting in Newark on my way to other places. When I left Dulles, it was packed with Bills fans and the TSA guy at the checkpoint told me I was one of MANY Bills fans he's seen in the past few days (I'm wearing a Bills hoodie). I also ran into a NO native on the shuttle to my gate, who told me, "you're going to kill us. And our city is FILLED with Bills fans right now."

Fair enough. You're all correct in the sense that trade deadline deals for offensive guards haven't happened at the rate that I would've thought over the past several years. I stand corrected.
On the other hand, the Chiefs just traded away a quality starting level offensive guard. Granted, it's quite possible they wouldn't have traded with us for any amount, but the fact that this trade occurred showed that acquiring a starting level guard was not some totally improbable penis-in-the-sky fantasy. Right. He can't anchor in general. I'm not sure how he's a better pass blocker than run blocker. Run blockers are usually more athletic.
