    Dear NFL officials,

As a concerned citizen looking out for the best for the league's fairness, I wish to document and report incidents of holding due to players wearing gloves the same colour as the opponents' jerseys.  Please do look into this.

    Yours truly,

    Phil Melichick,

    Anytown, Massachusetts

PS  I may be moving to California soon.

    That last line 💀

He went walked away from HC of the Bills to become the OL coach of the Jags, who at the time were terrible. Had an opportunity as interim, to which they kept him and he had 1 "good" season, where he finished 10-6 carried by the defense. Marrone ultimately finished his time in Jacksonville with a .348 record. Had he been with a franchise with a real owner he would have lost his job much sooner than he did.

Afterwards he has strictly been an OL coach.

Marrone 100% flamed out of the NFL HC circle.

It's fascinating that he's an OC, but has never had a successful offense, and has always had a top 3 defense.

I wish McD were as good at hiring OCs as Marrone was at hiring DCs.

I don't care that he's a RB, that ball needs to be caught even if you're an unathletic FB.  It wasn't an exotic route.  He won the route, Allen dropped it in the bucket perfectly and Cook just simply dropped it.

I love the guy and he's a great talent but man, he seems to not be completely focused or something early in games.  Horrible way to start the Broncos game with the fumble.  Killed the momentum on the opening drive against the Eagles.  Last year against the Rams, fumbled on his first carry.  On the first drive against the Jets in the opener, first drive he completely whiffed on a blitz pick up.

This had me wondering. What if he had actual buckets for hands? Would he have caught it then?

I do feel bad for Josh, Diggs, the rest of the guys, this fan base.

But, what does a Super Bowl win do for us anyway?

I have Jets diehards as best friends. Should they go, "well at least we won a Super Bowl," when they weren't born for another 20 years?

    Does it even matter..?

Have we been thinking about enjoying football all wrong?

    Ha!

    Hell no!

Win the effin big one or we suck and are stuck in purgatory forever.

Or, maybe we enjoy having a team? Having Allen and what a joy it is to watch him on Sundays? Look forward to the new stadium in 2026? Tailgating and enjoying pregame with family and friends?

    Idk.

    Is there a middle ground?

Why am I so confused right now.

Bro. There are professionals for this. Most people even have sessions covered by their health insurance.

    Just out of curiosity...

Now that the Bills have Josh Allen, do you still want them to, um...ya know...bring back Flutie?

I mean...his skin pigmentation and diminutive stature might make him an ideal fit as a slot receiver in the Erhardt-Perkins offense. Or he could be a drop-kick specialist?

I'm just thinking out loud here.

I'm thinking slot receiver. Might need to use some CGI. Have you seen the latest Indiana Jones?

One meal a day, some candy and probably a pretty ***** intense workout. Doesn’t seem unreasonable for him to stay in shape that way.

He's probably at like, maybe 2500 calories. His maintenance is well into the 3000s. And if he's working out fasted twice a day, he needs to restore all that glycogen with the sugar. Honestly the candy likely doesn't supply him all the carbs he really needs.

Both are true to an extent though though. Josh Allen was pretty bad at times as a rookie. But there were flashes where you saw the talent level. Now that still wasn't a guarantee of anything but I said on here at the end of his rookie year (as someone who didn't like the pick) "he is ahead of where I expected him to be." It was a steady growth from Allen through his first two seasons. And when 2020 began he arrived as a bona fide elite level QB. I'd ay 2018 was mainly bad but with some moments of great. 2019 was mainly pretty good but with still some head scatching bad. 2020 is the best year of his career so far. It was his most consistent season and the one where he played the Quarterback position the best. I don't think it is coincidental that the 2020 oline was the best he has had in Buffalo. Whether it was empty stadiums helping with timing and communication or something else the line played above average in 2020. If they can get back to above average Josh can win the MVP and the Bills can win the Superbowl.

If he hasn't already developed bad habits from assuming he'll never have adequate OL play. 🙁
