I don't know what's been going on with me since the draft but I get this weird, like small butterfly feelings in my stomach thinking about the upcoming season.
This has never happened to me before. Usually I lose interest in football after the Bills are out, gain it back right before draft and free agency....then think about other things until late July.
But it's early May and I have the same exciting feeling the Saturday eve before the opener...which means it will take forever in my head for the season to get here.
I think they do it this year....I really do.
Any of you feeling weird like me right now?
And no, I'm not drunk.
Am I high? Maybe.
I get weird stong feelings sometimes too, but they're rarely worth posting about.

"Bulk up" is one of the more ignorant terms I read around here (and there's a lot). Even 5 lbs of lean mass in a YEAR for a natural athlete who's lifted most of their life is an over-achievement.

I mean, just thinking about it without looking at statistics? In 4 playoff games against the Chiefs we have basically only stopped them an average of twice per game, usually in the 3rd and 4th quarters to act like we're "giving our O a chance to win it for us." Also the first playoff game against them we opened up with a stop and I don't think we stopped them again. ...oh and I dunno about Philly. I don’t watch garbage television. Sounds right tho considering the score.

I've been WAITING for this.

The beginning of the end. The neurosis that overtook corporate culture after that hasn't subsided. I had to take a 20% paycut last year, and it's not going to get better.

Ugh. I was a very big fan of this show, but I wish they wouldn't.
Sometimes, I wish showrunners would know when to just stop. The Brits have it down pretty well. Americans? Not so much.
I thought they left the show off in a good place, and I'm just not sure there's much story left to tell. Seems like a cash grab to me. That said...I'm sure I'll still watch, so I guess I'm contributing to the problem.Just like you couldn't just NOT watch the ***** superbowl? UGH.

You couldn't eat more than 6, you nancy boy.I once sent at least 1 order back per day for like a half season straight at Jimmy's. I said they were freezer burnt. They said they're made fresh. I said I didn't believe them. They said I wasn't allowed to order them anymore.

Whatever promises to satisfy a hunger and level of intoxication large enough to consider consuming bar food.
8 orders of mozzarella sticks, a platter of nachos, 2 pizzas, 30 wings...whatever I've missed the most since last time.

We haven't really had a good special teams coordinator since Bobby April
Granted, that was like going from an all time great ST coach to...I dunno, average?

Pedersen, Nagy, Bienemy, Rivera, Shurmer, Bowels (sure he is the HC of the Buccaneers, but what is that getting him??? I’m sure he’d love to be the asst. to the assistant’s assistant Head Coach in Buffalo), Childress, and Leslie Fraizer would probably come back, right? All these guys are available (except Bowels, but I covered that).
While we’re at it, let’s get Frank Reich back home to Buffalo and maybe he can get ol’ Jimbo to finally do some coaching. I hear Marv is looking pretty spry and is tired of Chicago. You know, Big Mike McCarthy is considering a year off, but why not throw him a line and see? Did I forget anyone? What the hell is Fitzpatrick doing? He loves Buffalo. Let’s get him in here, too.
.... bro 🤣🤣🤣

Right? Then we'll win 11+ games.

Same as a 2 point conversion. Which has a success rate of probably around 50%.
So win probability is going to factor that as - 50% chance you win the game outright, 50% chance you don't. Then of that remaining 50%... what are the chances you stop them? If you don't stop them, whare the chances you stop the 2 point conversion? In either scenario what are the chances you make the FG after to either win or tie the game? If it goes to overtime, 50% chance you win the coin toss, then with the ball do you score or do they?
Like it is just a cascade of what if's - Kicking simplifies it to +8, stop them we win, stop the conversion we win, give up 8, and we get the ball to win.
I think the analytical thought is probably go for it - but game flow wise it felt like... this gives us the best chance to win. Not needing to get the ball and a score to get to OT as well.
I think if you set everything at 50% odds, and a FG at close to 100%, then you just keep multiplying by 50% for each event in the sequence to see that the Ravens' chances of winning drop a lot if we kick a FG.
Kick fieldgoal- Ravens then need a TD - 50%, then a 2 pt conversion - 25%, then stop us from a FG - 12.5%, then win a coin toss - 6.25%, then score a TD - 3.13%, then stop us - 1.6%.
Go for it- 50% to stop us, then score a TD, 25%, then stop us, 12.5%.
So like, making broad assumptions, we were 12 times as likely to win by kicking the FG.

Agreed 100% as well as players stepping up out of character.. looked like Ed O had one of his better games... gonna need that going forward... and from more than him... would love to see Amari Cooper with a big game for us as well...
I actually agree kind of but we did break thru and pressure him... Hamlin was right on him with Von and Jefferson coming... I have see LJ turn plays like that into solid gains... I think you gotta give the D at least partial credit on that one too...
You and me both... turnovers seem to be feast and famine sometimes... I am just hoping for at least +1 no worse than even.
I don't see the turnovers as luck, I think the entire plan on Sunday was to use our home field advantage and let them make mistakes with a slippery ball, frozen field, cold hands, etc. We basically said, "we can play in this, and the pressure will be on you to keep up and be uncomfortable doing it." We knew we wouldn't turn the ball over and that we could put up points, and we knew that the Ravens weren't going to be patient enough to stick with Henry. The positive turnover differential was inevitable for us.

Yeah, it was really annoying being all excited to tune into coverage this morning, and the only person across multiple channels that was giving the Bills any credit was Dan Orlovsky (thanks, Dan!). Everyone else was still riding the Ravens dick, saying they lost it more than Buffalo won it, blahblahblah...
If we had lost last night, and the media all placated us, saying the Bills lost it rather than the Ravens won, it would be nice to hear...and then the week would end, and we wouldn't be playing again, and that would suck. Only one thing matters.

I don't think the Highmark field is heated.
It's definitely not. I'm dumbfounded that another professional football coaching staff seems to be as lazy in their analysis of Buffalo as an ESPN shock analyst.
