  1. Hot Tuna - Hesitation Blues <contented sigh>
  2. I will join that parade. Truth hurts though!
  3. Jim Morrison was in Nirvana? I did not know that.
  4. When Reggie replaced Jughead on lead guitar for the Archies.
  5. Oh, Stop Making Sense! Another serviceable qb would make the 2005 season the same as it ever was. Thanks for taking the words out of my mouth.
  6. Actually I WAS very concerned, as Buffalo proceeded to whiff in four SB's that this could be the case. After waiting from the 60's to almost the 90's for a real championship caliber team to resurface, can you blame me? Some teams are STILL WAITING for their 1st "Jim Kelly".
  7. But Ken, starting with the link to the original post, AND with the qualifications listed on the petition that was linked to TSW a while back (I am too lazy and too busy to go find it), it is absurd that RW is not at least a candidate. You are the politician my friend. I do not have to explain to YOU that qualifications are not enough. Finding out WHO is blocking RW and WHY is the key to his "enshrinement" in the HOF. My prediction is that he will get in... the year after he dies.
  8. Never cared for the post-Nash Hollies. The Byrds were still a good band with Roger McGuinne (sp) but not AS good. Saw the Who with and without Keith Moon; percussion matters. It is all just a matter of opinion and taste anyway. What about the Shondells without Tommy James.
  9. Did it hurt?
  10. I have the CD, No Talk, Just Head. Not bad, but not the Talking Heads, either.
  11. Um, I read it in a book.
  12. I don't mean to derail the VanHalen thread but just doing a stream of consciousness thang off the top of my bald head... The Hollies after Graham Nash The Byrds after David Crosby The Band after Robbie Robertson (and later Richard Manuel) The Who after Keith Moon (yes it was mentioned but NO ONE played drums like Moon) and after John Entwhistle (Boris the Spider was/is my favorite bassist) Every Band He Was In after Eric Clapton left Whatever happened to ... The Animals after Eric Burden The Supremes after Diana Ross The Pips after Gladys Knight Them after Van Morrison The Imperials after Little Anthony Big Brother and the Holding Company (or the Full Tilt Boogie) after Janis The Velvet Underground after Lou Reed The Experience after Jimi The Mothers of Invention after Frank Zappa The Guess Who after Bachman and Turner went to Overdrive and a real biggee - the Doors after Jim Morrison Sorry GG, I did not have to Google for any of these, no $$ !!
  13. Some of it is scary: "I will give $7,000 to anyone who takes her out at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York on March 15th. I will supply the gun. I am serious, and have been thinking about this for a long time. Please email me and we'll plan it out.'
  14. Some of the remarks accompanying the signatures are great!
  15. I stand corrected - there is not a separate category. I am talking to myself again too. HOF selection process
  16. There are separate categories for players and "administrators". This is a disgusting example of what the HOF has become!
  17. That is my point exactly, Mike. Get some consistency to the penalty or keep the flag in your pocket.
  18. I was wondering how people get up to about 12,000 posts. I guess if you and Tom just follow each other around tossing insults back and forth, they add up quickly.
  19. Congratulations! Enjoy her every day because kids grow like weeds! Each "stage" has it's rewards and challenges, but it is ALL a carnival. Go rent Parenthood and watch it with your wife. I have three daughters. Maybe I should dig out the "Permission to Date My Daughter" form for you. Two youngest daughters are toying with the idea of trying out for the Jills this year. That would be SO cool.
  20. Sanders made it very clear. When he was at home with his family, he was Deion. When he was on the field he was NEON DEION - his act was his meal ticket! Moss is not that smart. He is a punk and cannot turn it off.
  21. I think the guy is a punk, BUT the most he should have gotten from his antics was a flag for unsportsmanlike conduct. Am I missing something?
  22. It was a very good idea that was mishandled and managed by myopic idiots since BEFORE the boat even got here. I know a few people who enjoyed riding on it, but I am not sure it will ever become a ferry instead of a folly.
  23. I think Rochester's Fast Ferry would be a nice addition to this. It is up for auction soon, pass the word!
  24. So, did you find one yet?
