  1. Byrd is a top-5 safety in this league. It's amazing how posters on this board have such a strong love/hate relationship with players depending on whether the team wins or loses. I love the number of posts declaring that Kyle Williams has no heart or is the only player with heart on defense, for example.
  2. I have some faith he'll recover given what happened to him earlier this season. I hope the team has a good support system that can help him recover mentally and light a fire under his ass physically.
  3. There were a few plays with both CJ and Fred, and they were effective. Why didn't we run more of them? Freddy is ideal for burning time off the clock, but is not fit for two-minute drive scenarios, as we are constantly playing catch up and throwing/running draws with CJ because of our horrible defense.
  4. Yep. I know someone who is 93, swims everyday, gives lectures on law, and writes published papers. People love to embellish.
  5. I agree. Fitz is never going to be a franchise QB, but I think the spotlight of his errors in potential game-winning situations are exacerbated by the fact that we constantly play catch up. This team plays horrible defense, and all QBs make mistakes. If we had the luxury of playing with a lead, you would see a much more relaxed QB, I think. Hopefully Buddy sees a franchise QB in this draft, but I think we end up drafting a LB/pass rusher. I'd love a team with a productive Mario, Kyle Moore, and stud rookie at the end positions.
  6. Barnett is done or should move inside. Dareus looked more explosive today; when he loses the weight he gained and regains fitness, I think he'll be fine.
  7. You didn't; I'm saying that his post was unhelpful and pointless. Anyway, I hope we hear some good news about extensions soon. Ok, but you don't think Byrd might go to a team that actually wins and can afford to pay him- Baltimore, New England, etc? It would be a huge loss for the defense.
  8. That has nothing to do with the idiotic rumor about Spiller being traded.
  9. This isn't mindless, unfounded speculation. This is a realistic possibility, given that we haven't heard anything/seen extensions signed. I'm not sure what your point is.
  10. There are a few positives and clear problems with this team. I'm content with the offense, and it's clear that the defense is THE problem, with Wilson and the linebacking corps not looking NFL-caliber. Given Buffalo's perpetual mediocrity, will these players walk to a winning team in the off-season? I do think there is some potential to win with the majority of the roster/philosophy intact, but we take a huge step back if we lose those guys, particularly Byrd.
  11. While I disagreed with you on Tannehill- and props to you for recognizing his skill- thank you for not submitting a b.s. draft board of the best available that this franchise would not have drafted (i.e., Bobby Wagner, Casey Hayward).
  12. Easley will be like Naaman Roosevelt: he'll have one huge touchdown catch, do nothing else with his targets, and people will call him "a legitimate #2."
  13. He was one of the worst RTs in football this year.
  14. Hah. The same, since my NY vote doesn't count anyway. Would be nice if Johnson had real traction.
  15. Matt Ryan was drafted in 2008...
  16. His "articles" need an editor. I cringe when I attempt to read them.
  17. What do you expect from an "article" by Damond Talbot?
  18. Fitz looked rattled to the point where he started seeing ghosts in the pocket due to the number of hits he took. That severely affected his play. The o-line was a massive disappointment, but I hope we can attribute that to Cordy's injury + playcalling.
  19. No, he didn't. He had a good game, but Watt had an excellent one. Do you not consider QB hits to be important? Watt had 5.
  20. If you want to complain about someone on the d-line, it should be Dareus. Williams was fine.
  21. The whole situation with the bounty is a mess, and I'm sure there is a ton of information that we and the media are not privy to.
  22. http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/8592362/mario-williams-buffalo-bills-de-had-torn-wrist-ligament-source I don't see this anywhere, so here it is. I'm not going to pass judgement on him until the end of the season, but let's hope he and the team step up today and destroy Houston.
  23. It's not an "article," but a glorified message board post. Talbot isn't a writer.
