  1. Happy Birthday to them!
  2. Both heros born on Valentines Day!
  3. Yes/Yes/Yes to the first three. If the Bills Franchise him, they will hold all the leverage. The Bills showed Byrd last year that they will willing to let him sit on the bench if he chooses to do that. I just don't about "It is not cool to play in Buffalo". There are 53 players suiting up every Sunday during Fall and early winter at RWS. However, I do undertsand that Byrd might want to move to a WC team and might be stalling any attempt by the Bills to re-sign him by jacking up his request. The Bills can wipe everything by Franchising him and trading him for a 1st round pick in this years draft or pay him with a contract extension.
  4. Again the onus is on the QB. If opponents are not worried about our QB completing a 3rd down pass, they WILL stack up the line to stop the run and getting the first down. Until our QBs show the panache to beat coverage and get the first down, the result will show us sucking at the situational run game.
  5. I am sure he will be getting his one-way ticket out of Cleveland pretty soon.
  6. The Bills will be better off rather in addressing the TE position. Ebron will be a wonderful pick @ 9 (or after trading down).
  7. The key to the super bowl run for most of the "Run of the Mill" players is still that these guys had phenomenal season/post-season to put their team in that position to make the Super Bowl. Jake Delhomme, Rex Grossman and Rich Gannon (Of the top of my head) all had super seasons. Similar Flacco was super hot last year in the playoffs on the way to the SB win. The bottom line is you still need a VERY GOOD QB On the given day. The question is is EJ consistent enough to put us over the top.
  8. +1. Teams carry 20 Defensive players on game day....Which means they are rotating in/out at least 5-6 players in the game. Why couldn't Hughes be part of that rotation.
  9. The problem is that once the team wins the SB, nobody cares. The 70's Steelers were supposed to be on Steroids on their way to 4 dominating championship. The Patriots were caught for Spygating. There were plenty of rumors about Saints winning with a cut-throat DC. All teams know that they can get away and hence play at any cost. A SB championship is worth more than a few lost draft picks or a 500K fine....The teams can live with that. The same goes for the Seahawks!
  10. Wilson was making excellent throws in tight windows to move the chains. I am yet to see that from Bills QB in a long time since Flutie was throwing the football. Let us give credit where it is due. Our O-Line would look formidable, if our QBs can make plays.
  11. Not today. He made key plays on those 3rd downs....EJ needs to watch and learn how Wilson throws the ball to a moving target. You got to have confidence in your receive and release.
  12. I think the biggest difference in those SB losses were the coaching. Parcells and Johnson can some excellent game plan to stop us and they were successful/
  13. As Deion said in those famous commercials a decade plus ago....How about all of them ?
  14. I hope having a QB coach to mentor him on these aspects will help him make the transition.
  15. +1. Dearly hoping that this is his year. I hope the voters will vote him ahead of Harrison and Brown
  16. Also, I think we were hurt in almost every game due to one or two HUGE gains consistently.
  17. What a fall for a guy who was supposed to go in the Top 5/ I still don't think he gets past 3rd round. I see Bellichek taking a flyer on him in Rd 3 as Mallet is the last year of his rookie contract.
  18. Why didn't you make the same comment when Marronne brought everyone from Syracuse, leaving the University to make significant replacements. It happens. Coaching staff tend to stick together. That is also the reason why the HC avoids sacking coordinators or position coaches very easily. There is a severe sense of loyalty between them.
  19. +1. Like a Stevie Johnson.
  20. The poster mentioned that it was a playoff game. It is probably the one in 1995 when Bruce Smith did not travel to the Steel city due to the flu.
  21. How do you guys keep track of the cap situation of other teams when I can't even get the hang of the Bills cap!
  22. +1. The game against Cleveland...The bills kept giving the ball back to Cleveland in that last few minutes of the 4th qtr.
  23. I also see Cleveland acquiring Michael Vick and starting him for a season or two. Banner was in Philadelphia when they got Vick. I think the Bills will go TE/WR in Rd1 and CB in Rd2. They keep thinking that their OL is good.
  24. Wouldn't there be at least two openings with the Pettine hire: Buffalo and Cleveland!
  25. And probably why his defense was not as successful as he had in Buffalo
