  1. I doubt it. There are two WRs in front of him who are going to get a lot more touches. My vote is for EJ Manuel. This team needs him to step up. He is the most important cog in this wheel for us to be successful.
  2. I am sad the Bills are not opening the position for competition. I think with Vick behind him, Geno is going to become a better QB. The fear of losing your job will pay dividends for Geno.
  3. TBC, I thought Marrone had repeatedly told us that every player practices with the mindset that he is the starter and he will be ready if he gets the call....If Marrone had coached them that way, then we should not have missed a beat
  4. But given that he was a rookie undrafted QB, the coach made a gutsy call to let his QB wing it instead of running the ball as the defense would have expected it. Also, it was a fluke play from KC side as the defensive player was actually beat and lucked out.
  5. The drafting of Spiller signaled the end of Lynch. The Bills just couldn't find the partner on draft day. They eventually had to hang on to him for months before Seattle plucked him
  6. There is no "gimme" win in the NFL. Every opponent has an equal chance of winning against us and yes we should be worried about all the 13 opponents that we will face.
  7. We did have a owner who grew up in Detroit and lived in Florida (partially)....Not far fetched!! and kept the team in Buffalo.
  8. Why. And if the player has not signed sufficient waivers, HIPAA would definitely prevent the Bills from disclosing anything!
  9. And three stumps with two bails on each side of the wicket. I do agree that it hinders learning when you know something close too well. When I started watching baseball, I would do the same....try to relate it to something in cricket and it just never worked... One of the interesting one was: In Baseball, when a hitter hits the ball, he throws his bat and runs...In Cricket, the player actually uses the bat to stretch himself to complete the run. When I played office softball, I would always run with the bat and get laughed at!
  10. Only 66 days to the HOF pre-season game where our Beloved Bills will honor Andre Reed to the Hall.
  11. Like how MLB was confusing to me about 25 years ago!
  12. +1, especially the IPL. Cricket after a century of playing 5 day games and over 30 years of 1-day cricket have figured out the formula that a 3hour game sells on TV. The IPL plays the T20 version of the game that runs for about 3 hours. It is far more exciting and action packed than baseball (for the T20) and some brilliant hitting and catching occurs. If you haven't seen IPL highlights you can check it out on YouTube.
  13. Unless EJ can beat by throwing over the top accurately, the safeties are going to cheat by putting 8 or 9 in the box and stop the run.
  14. I will believe this when Nate commits to putting his best 11 players on the field. If you have FJ in the backfield, Watkins in the slot and Spiller on the Outside, Woods on the other side, this could be a serious mismatch.
  15. That is too cliche. Who wouldn't want to hire from a winning program. If you had a grad from Harvard and the local community college standing next to each other, which one is the Manager going to pick for hiring.
  16. There are plenty of question marks on this coaching staff: 1. Have a sub-par ST coordinator who has done nothing to change that perception. 2. Have changed WR and LB coach after one season. 3. Play calling by Hackett left a lot to be desired last year The good stuff was that Marrone did not make too many boneheaded calls like his predecessors. He seemed calm under duress and knew to put senior players in place (Dareus, Stevie). I think coach Marrone has earned his respect. Now it is up to Nate and Schwartz to bring the intensity.
  17. We were 28th against the Run last season and 31st the previous year. Unless Spikes plays lights out, this defensive front has not shown any ability to stop the Run. I can't call this a top 5 defense until they show that they can fix the Run. It simply means that the Bills and Chiefs have resembled each other over the decade in both play and results.
  18. +1. Someone had to come in and set a philosophy as the old one from Dick Jauron sucked!!!!
  19. If he has saved all that money he earned with the Bills (Roughly $20M) then he is set for life. However, as often life goes, I am sure the agents pressure them to invest in bad properties and have them lose money. I hope folks like him go on to use that money to create more jobs for the area.
  20. I thought we have had good runs with our FA signings over the last decade, especially on defense. On offense we rarely sign FA.
  21. He will be up next. Another one trick pony. At least Lee Evans was good at that. This guy can neither run a route or go up and get a ball.
  22. If you feel the Bills have wasted their past two 1st round picks, why do you care if we have or do not our next years 1st rounder...In your mind, Whaley would not anyways be able to do justice to that pick. May be Whaley attempts to replace Spiller with a RB from that pick (if he had it). I hope THIS comes true.
  23. Who are the players who have gone on to have a great career with other teams......Every year, every NFL team loses some good to excellent player for different reasons. The Bills are no different.
  24. To be fair, every talking head says that Bortles would need significant coaching including feet movements for a year before he should be pushed in as the starter. The Bills, to their credit, attempted to do that exactly with EJ, but the veteran QB Kolb never got to the season opener forcing EJ to be the starter. I am just going to mark EJ's play as growing pains and hope he has the whole off season to correct his flaws.
  25. So true. Having worked in start ups for over 20 years, I have seen this happen quite a few times. Company is in the 3rd year of its existence and almost ready to run out of VC funding. The inside guys take desperate measures; if they succeed and then find a buyer they are called genius; if they don't succeed, then they leave (or get fired) and new management comes in and start from scratch with zero talent (as the good folks are already gone) and then rebuild the company. No different....Everyone including the Buffalo Bills are living in the real world.
