  1. I missed it, what was the exchange between Nix & Sullivan?
  2. Seriously Dork, and I'm also trying to push my son in this direction: BUY!!! You can buy any number of doubles in Lackawanna, South Buffalo and Kaisertown for the same amount of money per month with virtually nothing down. Taxes are only like $100 per month. Between the rent and tax advantages you will be in there dirt cheap, especially if you also charge your roomie too. You can live there 3-5 years and sell/move, or keep it as an income. You will probably not see much in appreciation though. Why pay rent and make someone else rich? And you then may never be able to get out of the rent cycle
  3. ownership...............Ralph???
  4. Nice original user name. Probably 98% of the people here have no idea who that is. Shows how far back we go ............. assuming you are as old as me
  5. Any one whose movie mom looks like this you need to draft
  6. Oh man they are RIDICULOUSLY expensive. I couldn't spend that myself. A friend of mine with $$$ up the wazoo just dropped $30k out the door on his. But the re-sale market for HD's has crapped out, and if shop well you can pick up newer low mileage bikes for half to 2/3's of new. If I was shopping today, I think this Star is a lot of value for the money.
  7. With the huge amounts of salt they throw on our streets, I just leave it until spring with a rain or 2 to wash the streets down. Stabil, tender, oil & filter change is all I do and park it. I have a bike stand but they just look so wobbly, I leave it on the ground
  8. They seem OK.
  9. Yeah rub it in Actually I figure two more months and I should be back on the road
  10. When they went down the tubes in 08/09, I lost 50%. Poor decision making on my part could have limited it to a 25% loss. Well as of today I am almost whole now, at 90% of the peak. Still putting what I can into it, mostly aggressive too. I saw an article on GE in March of this year, put a good chunk into it and made 54% as of today A loss opportunity: Around 3/1 this year, on a Harley forum, it was posted it was at 6.5 and to buy. Since then it has gone to 26. Still, a company with a shaky status and future, I can't understand it. Also been thinking about income property, a double, although I really have no experience there. Part of my scheme was my kids want to move to their own place. Why not move into 1 unit and pay me? So what are your plans or advice to everyone?
  11. alright, like this thread already. Little history: In 1979 I bought this TA beauty and kept it 22 years. In a typical for me monumental stupdity moment I sold it for so little I won't post the price. Mine was exactly as the one in the picture. OK $3500 Stupid MF!!! Moved up to ATV's. Lots of fun, some scary times, and no where to ride. Did that for 4-5 years and sold them Bought off Ebay in the middle of January this 03 Shadow for $3,000. Rode it for 3 years and sold it for $3500 On July 3rd of this year I bought this, 04 Electraglide Classic with 3,700 miles for half of new. For 04, it was HD's top bike. It was a great find. The bike has it all: style, looks, performance, ride, touring, 2-up comfort, storage, stereo. It is also a $$$$$ pit. Between part accessories, clothes (mostly for the wife!), bike events, etc you can spend a fortune Bike #1 #2 Crank your audio!!! Info, you mention Batavia in your location. Stans HD in Batavia is the only place to shop. Buffalo and Southtowns blow
  12. Read the article again. Complaint filed the next day
  13. I think that would hurt attendance because now I don't have to go as often
  14. Whitner should consider a product endorsement career Like this one
  15. Yeah tonight I tightened the drive belt although it seemed OK, lubed the bed a couple times and tightened the walking belt more. Seems OK now. Bought the lube at G&G Fitness. All their TM's ranged from $2500 to $5000. That's ridiculous but they do seem to be like commercial grade. Still, for $5000 I could join a gym for 15 years and have access to everything there
  16. Thanks, I'll give that a try. Stuck, I got belt dressing in the garage, I'll try that too. Never thought of it
  17. Thanks for the most useful reply. I was on this last night before my thread
  18. My treadmill is a Proform 520X, like 6-8 years old, a lower end model. So over the last month or so, the belt would occasionally slip. Within the last week it quit completely. I mean it will run with no one on it, but forget it when I go on it. Trying to figure its problem. The drive roller is always spinning, but not driving the walking belt, so I ruled out motor & drive issues. Still got adjustment left on the belt too. If I over-tighten the belt, it will start to spin, but still not good. The deck surface is like a mylar film, that you are supposedly not to lube. But I'm thinking of giving that a try with lube lightly at least as it doesn't seem slippery. I think friction of the belt to the deck is keeping it from going, and that the belt is still OK. So that is the cheapest fix too, like $15. Start there, if that isn't it, go with the belt next, about $100. What is any one else's thoughts and experiences?
  19. Never seen a snow blower with an air filter. Not sure why either unless it is because there isn't much dust/dirt in snow. I agree with the new plug. Plus is the oil over-filled, or is it running rich and fouling the plug?
  20. So how do you feel about the other 100,000 unemployed WNY'ers with a spouse and family and made maybe 1/10 of what AVP made?
  21. Prove she was drunk. Lynch though has a history of problems, pled guilty in this case to criminal charges, and there is no need for proof beyond doubt. Just a "preponderance" for a civil case. A young woman suffers permanent scarring from her injuries and stitches, throw in some deserving punitive damages..........I could see at least $50,000.
  22. 6-10, go back and look at the Bills history. There are plenty of 1-2-3 win seasons where fans would have killed for 6 wins. I'm not saying this was a good year or accepting it, but there were a lot worse years
  23. This fits the profile of most of my wife's friends, except they are 45-55. Let me tell you there is a reason they are out there on their own. Most are a mess If anything they make me appreciate my wife a lot more
  24. OOH OOH, I know this one The DEC is usually parked in SUV's alongside trout streams with a box of donuts, coffee, and a porn mag counting the days to early retirement
