  1. Hey Ice, You may have posted this already, but what was your thinking when GB lost in the playoffs after almost going undefeated? Anger, pain or maybe just an " oh well, we'll get 'em next year"? Just curious. Also, what do you think management will do this offseason as far as the Draft and FA? Thanks.
  2. The industry follows the people and what they want to see. It's not the fault of the industry that the people want to see that kinda stuff. Gaga plays a pretty mean piano but nobody listened, so she did what the people want and now she's famous and rich. Same for Katy Perry. Heart started out doing classical music, but guess what? That didn't sell so they turned to rock. Aretha Franklin, same thing with her(gospil didn't sell). Your last paragraph says it all, it's not the industy. It's the people(fans). By the way, is Katy really "slutting up" if she is only kissing one girl? she didn't say I kissed one hundred girls.
  3. Even worse than Jessica Simpson's sister?? If you say yes, then you are talking out of your A$@ I thought is was OK.
  4. I hear you on the KW thing, but Merriman says his problem was not a rupture or complete tear either. I think he said it was stretched, but not torn or ruptured. So I'm hopeful that he comes back healthy too. The medical staff seems to think so.
  5. One franchise people seem to forget is a franchise that covered up almost the entire upper bowl of their stadium to lower the amount of tickets that have to be sold for a sellout. And they still don't sell out! That's right, the Jags. This franchise also seems to be irrelevant when it comes to exposure. I think they move before we do.
  6. Hines Ward? Was this cuz he broke someone's jaw on a legal block. Or is it cuz he always smiles when he hits someone? Man, that was an awsome block(keep your head on a swivel). I would not have had Ward on the list. Plenty of aother dirty players to choose from. Rodney Harrison comes to mind. Dirty player in his days and now is a hipocrite(sp) on TV. Tha's one guy I was happy to see go down with a knee late in his career.
  7. Hey Jerry, Please read before inserting foot in mouth. See below: How bout we follow his example and do the same on the scale we can afford. Give it a try people, you will feel good. In other words if you CAN'T afford to do this, then don't.
  8. Yea, but the team still has to get to Orchard Park for the game. Out of the way and inconvenient. These thing make a difference in perception.
  9. IMO Florence would look alot better with a pass rush. Anyone would look bad when the reciever has 7-10 seconds to run around.
  10. Hey Maddog 20/20, GB has an premier DE and LT?! Really We all know Pitts oline sucks(including LT). NE has an premier LB, CB, WR. Really? N.O. doesnt have a premier CB or LB.
  11. Maybe cuz he is also blaming himself. He should have made that catch and he admits to it.
  12. It's a good thing you don't make the decisions.
  13. Saw a story on the jets on ESPN regarding, an anonymous quote regarding "Sanchize" and the need for competition to light a fire under him. Seems the source thinks Sanchez knew he wouldn't be benched for a 50 yr old backup(Brunell)so he wasn't studying as hard or working as hard as he should have. Complaints about him posing for pics instead of working toward being a better QB and leader. Aslo said he hides in a hole when critisized. At least we were on the way to Division championships and SB appearances when we were labled the "Bickering Bills". I feel like the window is closing on them. The LB's are old and slow, the OL has regressed badly, LT is washed up, the WR position is a mess with Plax(34-35 yrs old) and Santonio is not a leader. They can't run the ball effectively and the Dl hasn't been the same since losing Jenkins. Any thoughts or comments? Yes one comment: I hate the Jets and hope/think they regress even more next season.
  14. I lived in Buff for the first 22 yrs. of my life and Tally since(22 more yrs). I'm glad he's staying. Along with Xavier Rhodes and Reid, this D has the potential to be even better than last season when they were #4 in the nation. Werner is an animal in there. On a side note, I wouldn't mind Bradham as an ILB with a mid round pick. He looked pretty good over the last half of the season and in the Bowl game. I like Chase also, he has good ball skills and is a good tackler in run support.
  15. If I came off as bashing, my bad. Not my intention.
  16. Hopefully Nix was right when he said he has no spending cap/limit like in the recent past. This regime looks like it will keep the productive players. He also sounds like he will use FA to help out. Still build through the draft, but loosen up the strings for FA.One can only hope.
  17. You're right, we can't talk Bills playoff football. So, let's keep beating this hindsight crap. Orapko, Dalton, etc. That helps.
  18. The first thing I said when he was drafted was I like it. We needed talent on this team and he was the most talented player coming out of that draft when it was our turn to pick. He is already way better than Lynch. Nix and Gailey took over a team in bad need of an infusion of talent, everywhere on the roster. Even though we had Lynch and Freddy, we needed talent and they chose the BPA. No one knew Freddy would play lights out like he has when Spliier was picked and Lynch had his issues with the Weed and running people over and leaving the scene. Spiller is a really good person on top of his talent. I'm not the kind to say I told you so, but... it was the fact that there were so many areas of greater need on the team tat needed to be addressed before adding an additional running back The whole team was devoid of talent. So, tell me what pick would you have made? And I'm giving you the benefit of hindsight.
  19. and yet an another one slips by the Bills. The Bills did there homework too, Aaron was a great pick at 34. IMO. I know this is easy to say in hindsight but Especially on this message board. It's annoying to keep doing this, to me.
  20. I'm not going to look it up and provide a link but I remember reading Barnett saying that talking to Merriman had a effect on him coming. I'm sure there are teams out there that could have used him this year. Options may have been limited, but we were not his only choice.
  21. Pretty sure he only had one surgery on the achilles(this season). Last season he hurt it and was put on IR(no surgery reported that I could find). This season he said he would have surgery and that he felt lucky because he would get the surgery done before it actually tore it. He said it was a small tear ,but not a rupture like Spikes had. The surgery he had before this was for a knee injury. I think because it was a small tear and not a rupture, he'll come back strong.
  22. I think with a better pass rush, McKelvin can be a fine CB. He was drafted by DJ as a Cover 2(Tampa 2) corner. This 3-4 is a different animal and with no pass rush for most of the season our DB's were in trouble. Revis would not do as well here without a pass rush to help. I wish Rogers luck if he draws the Welker matchup. You gotta hit Welker on the line before he can get into his (usually precise) routes and mess the timimg up. Not sure Rogers can do that.
