Food for thought-Wade Phillips is just as responsible for the Rams turnaround as McVay. If you haven’t read Son of Bum I highly recommend it. While it’s very folksy grammatically there are several pages that are pure Defensive Coordinator gold!
Something has changed drastically over the last two weeks schematically with opposing defenses. The inability of Tyrod to read and beat the opposing defenses led to this decision. An important point is the lack of complimentary football we’ve been playing. We are not good enough to win without it. I agree with the decision and believe it gives us the best chance to win. Looking forward to some scheme changes on D as well against A Lynn and the Chargers.
Going through the dresser this morning and Im like, cant wear this, they lost when I wore it, cant wear this, bad game, cant wear this, someone got hurt.....
I think hell be active and only play if we lose a WR. Personally, I cant imagine getting on a plane on a late Tuesday night unexpectedly and play within 48 hours. Imagine being told that youre moving and you need to be at your new desk in 48 hours. The sheer logistics of it coupled with the emotions of moving wouldnt put me in the right frame of mind to be successful.
I think the big challenge for this week will be the new coaching staff creating and installing a game plan in three days. Very interested to see how Coach McD handles the short week.
I think its relevant from the same Division perspective. While scheme has changed some players remain, those players show tendencies. Same point of view considered for ATL and especially CAR game. My two cents.
