Sit the important starters
Dragonborn10 replied to Dragonborn10's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Minnesota is sitting AP. Smart move. Do the right thing Marrone. You can even fake it and get down by 20 early into the second quarter with some conservative play calling and then give up. Play the kids. -
Texans Hire Bill O'Brien as Their Next Head Coach

15-9 in the Big 10 with essentially most of the seniors and juniors staying is nothing to be too proud of. Win at Wisconsin this year was impressive though. -

There are lots of ways to do it and not run afoul of the league... FJ Knee, Wood Knee, Spiller Ankle, K Williams Heel. Bring on 2014. -
Sit the important starters

High note lasts for about 45 minutes. There are at least 10 maybe 15 guys on this team that won't even be on the team next year. Winning comes from talent and being healthy. Yes I would have liked to see EJ get more reps against a New England defense. I don't need to see Fred take any more hits, CJ limp any more this year, or Kyle get cut from behind. -
Stevie Johnson not playing this weekend
Dragonborn10 replied to jumbalaya's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It is sick to think about but we all know if the Bills were in the playoff chase Stevie would be playing. You can say it is just a game but it isn't. It is a very successful moneymaking business and it is a job. I also think it is fair to say that anyone going through a loss can find work and being around friends a reasonable way to cope with grief. Sometimes being around family makes the grieving process harder. Everyone's family and coping mechanisms are different. If he played he should not be criticized as uncaring and if he didn't play he should not be criticized for not caring about the team. There is no right or wrong. -
With EJ, Stevie, and A. Williams out there is no point to this game. Only bad things can happen. The Patriots are going to kill them - no reason to make it worse and expose the best players to injuries. I would not even dress CJ, Fred, Wood, Glenn, K. Williams, Byrd, and M. Williams. Their health going into next year is more important than being competitive for a couple quarters against Tom Brady.

Michael Oher to Buffalo?
Dragonborn10 replied to Braedenstearns's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He is a very bad LT and a serviceable RT at best. Bills can do better. -
Does Fred Jackson merit wall of fame?
Dragonborn10 replied to Original Byrd Man's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
How about this ... Let's stop putting marginal talents like Phil Hansen on the wall. Moorman and Jackson do not belong on the wall before Gilchrist and Saban. It should be for special players. Aaron Schobel is the only player of the last 15 years that was close to special. Second all time in sacks. Two pro-bowls. -

Scouts take on this years draft class
Dragonborn10 replied to billieve420's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Trade down. We still need multiple players. Resigning Branch makes DE/DT less of an issue. If they bring back Carrington they are set on the DL. They need multiple offensive lineman. Maybe Hairston is in the mix at RT. I think they draft OT or WR in the first round. Then add guard, TE, LB's in the other rounds. Of course FA may change everything.... -
Sports radio arrogance in NE

He is the greatest QB of all time and the Bills had to play him twice a year for over a decade. In two years both Brad and Bill will be gone. what is the basis for your opinion? Tom Brady 21-2 against the Bills. Enough said -

Drop Marrone, make Pettine the new HC
Dragonborn10 replied to billsgpr88's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
1. First no one is hiring Petine next year as a HC 2. If someone was crazy enough to do so then just go bring in Rex Ryan - he would be an upgrade at DC - yeah I said it! Rex is better than his pupil! -
Extend Hughes before season end... Sign Byrd first day he can be signed. Then go get a guard or two in FA. Then trade two first rounders for Larry Fitzgerald.

No injuries is all that matters. Could care less if they win or lose.

Playoff possibilities NFL and draft order
Dragonborn10 replied to djp14150's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The only correlation that carries over from one season to the next for non-playoff teams is close losses. Those teams that miss out on the playoffs but are in contention for many of the games have a good shot at making the playoffs. Winning down the stretch doesn't help. But I would argue dropping a few spots in a draft is not that big a deal. Guys get drafted higher and lower than projected all the time. A few spots means nothing. -
Nobody is saying cut him
-
If Mack was at any other school besides UB this board and the whole town would shat themselves if he was the Bills first round pick. Yeah I know Jerry Rice came from a small school. The draft is a crap shoot, taking big fast guys from major conferences increases your chances of getting it right - and trading down!
-
Win...2 more wins might move them down a few draft spots but who cares. There is little difference between the 5th to 20th pick. Look at the Jets. Richardson will be an all-pro. Miliner has been fairly awful so far.
