Marquez Valdes-Scantling meeting with the Bills (UPDATE: Signed)
3rdand12 replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
Its fun to have hope and dreams for our Bills. Me especially. But why couldn't he turn it around in Miami and put in the work to overcome the doghouse he was in? Is it he struggles with the playbook , and runs wrong routes as well. If he cannot succeed in Buffalo he is likely done. Both know that i expect. best place to get it together I dont have much hope here my friend Glad they got Scantling -

I was unpleased especially with the draft Felt they needed a 1A or potential who could play the field. and double tip for a true Z. The opportunity was there. Felt strongly and said so here. No real money for FA this year. They eat puke too But some times they get left over filet. -

McDermott doesnt roll that way. But to be a tad less disappointed in the draft etc in regard to WR room , Henry and Brady have their work cut out for them. But would consider Brady had input on the draft and what he needs in FA ? Is he overconfident like Dorsey ? Or a fox in the Hen House ?? -

It better be Ha HA Ha But yea I agree. Nobody but Coleman might be a stand out candidate for 1A see my bolded , please ^ -
You mean negotiate his contract dont you ? I disagree otherwise. No reason to consider cutting at this point. Another season to see if McDermotts coaches can tweak his play enough. But yea you might want to let hit FA at that point 👍

I might suggest that having a year in the NFL , Kincaid is going to get more aggressive looks from Defenses as a sincere pass catcher who is in every check down if not a primary target. This bodes well for Knox who might become an afterthought as same ? I can envision that easily. Brady going to spread the ball around quite obviously by now Knox becomes a weapon again. and gosh , coach his footwork some one ! LOL Well he is already a large person , so he is part way there. To huge But yea , agree
-
The hate comes in waves and leaves in ebbs. Knox is a valuable player to the Bills for sure. Hoping Brady gets him so more plays this season . Josh so often looked for the kill shot under Dorsey I felt. This year they look to spread the ball around looking for the mismatch. Knox absolutely can be a mismatch. Like Kincaid for a separate reason. Brady has to scheme it and Josh needs to see it Go TEs

I would hope he is an asset to Brady's new Offense/ Kincaid is a different animal. they wont be stealing reps from each other, basically at least c'mon 12 sets lets beat them up early in the game
-
I sincerely hope he is more than blocker this season and gets some designed plays , and a look from Josh as a third fourth read as well. Dude can make some plays I expect him to be a Bill for a good while yet Depends greatly on Brady Having a "new" OC is always exciting for fans and players alike lol
-
This goes back to Brady and what he can bring to the Table this year. We see overlapping skill sets if we box them in. there are a few that can get deeper and keep the safeties honest. Cook might actually be a threat along with Kincaid , depending on the coverage
-
I would like you to consider the TEs and RBs as pass catcher of skill and ability The sum of these parts might well be enough if used thoughtfully. To be fair to badoll, Some of these WRS will need to step up and into next level. Shakir will get some love from D-Coord so i am " Wishful ?! " Curtis S steps up , and wishful Coleman can find his feet , and hands before midseason

I don't expect to see Brady run plays like he did after getting thrown into the cage later in the season with Dorsey's play book. I am of a slightly different opinion about jimmy's and joes. The Coach has more influence on the game via play calling and adjustments. Its a skill not all have , but it is the most important facet to winning a Game, And I am going to stick to that. But is surely not the whole of the matter in getting wins week in and week out. You have a to have a strong foundation at every "team" defense offense Secondary , front seven. O line TEs WRs and guys coming out of the backfield etc. Get a strong base and a great play caller. Coaching at each group needs to be strong and communicate well. I am no longer on the bandwagon of a 1A being next to QB in importance. Getting the ball to the open guy and calling the right runs at the right time. Bills are not weak anywhere i suggest on Offense excepting RT (sorry Spencer buddy, not sold on you yet) Nor are they exceptional , on paper at this point. we shall see. Have faith 😉

Are any of your Family aware of your condition ? Sensible is certainly reason for concern these days. As always. Depends on how they use him. Bills seem to struggle getting the best work out of their backs. Dorsey ? I expect Brady will have had enough time to design his future state of His Offense , knowing what types and skill sets his players might best be implemented from game to game. But yea. Crazy ! This is a draft pick I really am looking forward watch develop too 👍

I think he's more than that. Can also catch and block i heard somewhere beat me to it. Perhaps I should read ahead properly before i write lol But yes , I agree
-
I can see Davis becoming the 2nd back up , and change of pace guy. Between the tackles a bit more perhaps than we would like Cook to run ? Ty will be the 3rd up. I like TY plenty , btw. But I am leaning in that Davis is going to become very good and quickly. Different back than Cook. So complimentary I guess Go Bills

Rd 5, Pick 141: C Sedrick Van Pran-Granger
3rdand12 replied to section122's topic in The Stadium Wall
yea , I edited my post. Morse was pure center. and a very good one. Hoping the Kid earns the spot Morse left , and Connor can get back to his natural position Of course Teams need O line to be flexible with position. Bills have been decimated a few times at O line by end of year. Not pretty and poor Josh -
yea . he will be noticed even more by D Coordinators Could go the other way. Gaining more looks or getting less tosses. But spreading the ball around will be the Brady Bunch game

If he becomes The Center ? All bets are off. You never move your center to guard. Only vice versa ha ha But yea he has to train at guard. Hoping for him to become Morse long term replacement honestly. wishful maybe -

In my Time as a fan , i do not recall Bills ever ever bringing in a pure center. Much less drafting one to challenge day one. Gotta cheer for this kid 💪 I edited -

Does McGovern go back to L Guard , where he did a fine job I thought. Improved the whole line , especially his side. Did not like when Bills announced his move to center. But accepted it with moving on from Morse -
I think the question I had at the Draft was , why Coleman. Beane seemed to answer that in two ways No calls happened to move into mid early first. And it seems Allen is a Coleman fan. I hated it. But am now much more open minded that they will fit him in nicely. Spreading the ball around seems to be the mantra. Hope Brady excels at just that. Not thrilled. Not overly skeptical either. Go Bills

Bills sign Chase Claypool, Smoot, Jones
3rdand12 replied to Dablitzkrieg's topic in The Stadium Wall
he took the job McBeanes had a reason to offer an opportunity. Hopin' he puuls his sht together and gets to work. There IS a real place for him as a Bill if he can recreate hisself
