  1. That looks like one of my solder jobs!
  2. I saw Gatemouth Brown at a little hole in the wall called the East End in Madison, WI circa 2000. One of the best shows I have ever seen. No clips, but this one ain't bad.
  3. Airbus is a European multinational aerospace and defence corporation registered in the Netherlands and headquartered in Toulouse, France. The group consists of the three business divisions Airbus, Airbus Defence and Space, and Airbus Helicopters. The company was originally formed as the European Aeronautic Defence and Space Company (EADS) on 10 July 2000 by the merger of Aérospatiale-Matra, DaimlerChrysler Aerospace AG (DASA), and Construcciones Aeronáuticas SA (CASA). In January 2014, EADS was reorganised as Airbus Group combining the divisions for development and marketing of civil and military aircraft, as well as communications systems, missiles, space rockets, helicopters, satellites, and related systems.
  4. Lets not. How does a prosecutor collect settlements? The audio recording is clear, concise evidence. Which clearly revealed that the audible tones of the captain attempting to override the door lock were heard. The only thing that can prevent the door from opening in that case is the manual lock override. The audio recording also picked up the sound of the captain attempting to break the door down. Additionally 6 different radar units tracked the controlled descent of the plane. A descent not possible with auto-pilot on. Not sure what you are waiting for.
  5. My first computer was TRS-80 Model III, Then a Model IV, then I went big time and got a Tandy 1000!!! That was the s***.
  6. Okay Tom, should I take the word of an Airbus pilot with 12,000 hours of experience and an Airbus engineer with 12 years of experience, or some crazy ass pot stirrer name DC Tom on a message board. Hmmm. Decisions, decisions.
  7. It is a fact. I have read several Airbus pilot's take on this and the path of descent is not possible any other way. It is not an autopilot descent and it is impossible for it to fly in this controlled manner any other way. If the autopilot was not on, the bird would have literally fallen out of the sky.
  8. Not sure what more evidence you need. Audio recordings are admissible as evidence in most courts.
  9. Here is some great reading if you get bored... http://www.airlinepilotforums.com/safety/87168-german-wings-a320-crashed-23.html
  10. We may never get one. The fact that he purposefully put it into descent (which can only occur manually) and the fact that the door was switched to lockout (again another manual operation), really what else is there to know? The dude did not pass out, he intentionally put that bird into a mountain. The reason why he did it does not really matter anymore.
  11. The link you posted was 7 hours old. Additionally, US news sources are generally regurgitating overseas news stories on a topic like this. Take a look at the live link I posted from the Guardian. This was 6 minutes ago... A Spiegel reporter, Matthias Gebauer, is tweeting that friends of Lubitz said he had burnout or depression in 2009 and had to take time out from his pilot training. During the Lufthansa press conference there were questions as to why Lubitz interrupted his training, but there were no definitive answers. This about an hour ago... Lufthansa confirmed that co-pilot Andreas Lubitz appeared to have prevented the captain from re-entering the cabin after a toilet break, and placed the Airbus A320 into the dive that resulted in the crash that killed all 150 on board.
  12. Cordy was much better than just an ok LT before Moron showed up.
  13. Other than the screams they heard right before impact.
  14. The Pack needs a decent inside LB. Other than that, they are ready to roll. Vince Wilfork would have been a nice addition, but it sounds like Guion is going to avoid prison for now and he looked pretty good last year. Maybe Raji can put it together.

  16. God no. Not even on my deathbed.
  17. @mikerodak: Bills fans are some of the nicest, well spoken fans in the NFL. I just love it when they leave positive comments on my blog!
  18. So I guess this means I should not wear my favorite t-shirt
  19. No sane individual (IMO) would choose to not eat Gluten. I was a HUGE cheap domestic beer fan. Not to mention chocolate snack cakes. Have not found a good replacement for either.
  20. Medical issues. If I continue to eat Gluten I will die of Lymphoma of the gut. The genetic gods gifted me with Dermatitis Herpetiformis
  21. Bob Ross is the man. “This is a happy place, little squirrels live here and play.” “Think about a cloud. Just float around and be there.” “Just let go - and fall like a little waterfall” “Pretend you’re water. Just floating without any effort. Having a good day.”
  22. Since I can no longer consume Gluten, all of the beers I try are either crap or ovepriced. The best Gluten free beer I have found is locally produced, Alt Brew's Farmhouse Ale http://www.altbrew.com/ The best Nationally available Gluten Free beer I have found is produced in Milwaukee, Lakefront Brewing's New Grist http://www.newgrist.com/
  23. What an INsightful post to start my day. Kudos to the OP.
  24. Somehow the duckface is the last thing I see when I look at that picture. Furthermore, you don't bang the duckface. Just saying. Keep me down for twice.
  25. Does it really matter? We got Cassel. Hypotheticals are friggin pointless.
