The last 5 years of Bills football
Livinginthepast replied to C.Biscuit97's topic in The Stadium Wall
The first loss vs Houston in 2019 was on the team being young and inexperienced. The 2020 loss in KC was similar. But the last 3: 2021 13 seconds is completely on McD, Frazier and the STs coach 2022 Injuries and a drama filled season hurt us but the McD, Frazier and Dorsey complete failed in preparation, attitude and execution to prepare for the Bengals in the playoff game and to deal with the weather in our own house!! 2023 Injuries hurt us badly but in the end its the coaching and decision making in the last 2 minutes of the KC playoff game which sealed our fate. Not getting to the SB at least once is unacceptable. McD is a good coach but has blown our chances 3/5 times. -
Am I the only one not planning on watching Chiefs/Ravens??
Livinginthepast replied to Special K's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'm very interested in the game. I will be impressed if Lamar can pull it off. The Chiefs looked very poised last week against us and their experience will be hard for the Ravens to overcome. It was the same with the Pats, they just knew how to get it done when it mattered. -
Bills Last Great Defensive Lineman

My memories of Mario Williams are tainted by the last 2 years here where he fell off a cliff in quality and became mostly irrelevant. The first 2 seasons he could be incredible in games and dominate. Dareus was a bust, Schoebel and Kyle Williams were pretty solid. Nothing compares to Bruce though. -
I would be shocked if Brady isnt acclaimed as the OC. He did pretty well under the circumstances and its the safest hire for Beane where Mcd will not feel a bit of pressure. Whoever gets the job has to get our offense to the level of where it should be, Dabol got us close to it but Dorsey went backwards.

He should be fired. The unit gave up too many big plays this year, had kicks blocked, didn't block any and only 1 return td?? Not good enough. AND Bass and Martin both need to go. They have both respectively lost it.

Sunday’s Loss Was Just a Replay of the Win in KC

He's better than Dorsey of course but obviously still learning his game. I would love to see an offensive guru come in here and work with Josh. The results would be amazing. -
McDermott - Excuses, Valid but concerning

Tried to respond to this post earlier in the morning but thread got moved and it got deleted. I agree with you on this. McD and Brady need to clarify what the thinking was at the end of the game. The strategy should have been to kill clock and dink and dunk to get a first down, the ultimate goal being a TD with almost no time for the Chiefs to respond. In the worse case scenario of going for the FG, two other criteria had to be achieved first. 1. They had to get closer than 44 yards as Bass had been iffy in the past few weeks. At least in the low 30s for distance. 2. If kicking a FG they had to have used up as much time as possible to avoid a 13 seconds repeat for the winning KC FG after they kick off. Josh had to have been following direction from Brady and McD and if he didnt listen then why not? It should have never got to 4th and 9 in that situation. They should have been doing some safe, high % passes and runs to get us closer to the first down while killing clock. I still believe that on the 4th and 9 with 1:44 left and a kick that far away we should have gone for it. Kicking was too risky with an iffy kicker, the wind in that stadium and cold temperatures. So in the end, was there a strategy in place or did McD freeze when the pressure was on? -

Sorry to say... But Diggs is done.

I watched the Harmon drop and I can remember being furious when I saw it but I hit the roof after they failed the next play. I had to rewind my VCR to watch again later and still could not believe he dropped it. Because of the magnitude of that drop and when it was in the game, that has to be the worst drop when it comes to losing a game outright. Diggs was bad but nowhere near Harmon's drop as there was still time. But Diggs has to make that catch. The Bills lost Sunday because they didnt make the hard but doable catches, 0/4 on those passes and the Chiefs did. The Stevie drop was almost comical and Stevie blamed God for it after! The Clay drop was par for the course for that useless lump. -
Even though I knew we would probably lose when we kicked it back to KC and watched the inevitable Mahomes dink and dunk into winning FG range with the Bills playing 5 yards off and no pass rush, I literally had no doubt that Bass would make that kick. Even for all his inconsistency this year. So you might say that I got double surprised Charlie Browned at the ending of this game! But break my heart once shame on you Bills and well break my heart 15 times, I guess thats shame on me!
