I really despise this under 10 yard offense from Joe Burrow and I’m not at all resentful as a fantasy Chase owner Yes against Johnson Hamlin who both poorly executed coverage

Tua is such an interesting QB. If his arm was 20% stronger he’d be a top 5 QB with his accuracy. as it is, if you can move or get him to delay his throw pats 3.5 seconds or so, he doesn’t have the arm to take those 45 yard deep shots you need to beat NFL safeties and corners. He has to float it. On the other hands I’ll not sure there’s a more accurate QB under 30 yards who has better ball placement and touch Didn’t want to turn it over and was hoping for a DPI

More about process of the catch I think.

Normally I'm with you because I think the bye week is huge. But all these injuries have me a bit spooked, to be chasing it. Would rather the team be conservative with player health. When you have a team this good, this talented, then just getting them into the playoffs healthy is better than getting the #1 seed with bumped and bruised roster IMO - but to be sure, I don't know if those two things are mutually exclusive. Really, just never seen an injury situation like this before with the Bills. Reminds me of the Niner a few years ago after their Super Bowl run, when their defense was grim reapered

Edmunds…back to back good games. Facts. (Update: Another good game)

I could have sworn Jaquan was actually trying to get out of the way, but did it clumsily and only railed him like that by accident. But if you're a ref, you can't take into account intent. It was a fair penalty He's a much more important player to this defense than either Poyer or Hyde. IMO of course. Deserves the money he's about to get -
I've already put the 1 seed out of my mind. Right now, my goal for this team is just to get it peaking , and healthy, for the stretch run and then into the playoffs. Anywhere in the top 4 seeds will do for me

Yup, I just looked up the dew point for Sunday and it was a wildly high 75-78. Like relatively speakiung that like playing a football game in the tropical rain forest, on a hot day, whilst wearing a wet heated blanket
-
Thew point was 75 - 78 I wish more people knew what that meant, you don't look at humidity, you look at the dew point. Like 66-70 is like a muggy day in NYC. Miserable is being in a rain forest. Anything higher is being in a rain forest while wearing a heated, wet, blanket. Unless you are used to this humidity (which players in the south are), and the you also have consistent cool air (which the dolphins do being on the shaded sideline), then...like have you ever played in the heat? I was a fast dude, but during certain days of summer, it felt like I could only run at half speed. This is what these players were going through

This game shouldn't have been played

The more I think about that game, the more I think it's a testament to the roster build, McDermott and staff's ball knowledge, and Josh Allen that this game wasn't a 3 score blowout. You know how in political forecasting we have something called the fundamentals? Which is to say the inherent advantage for one party over the other based on economy, who's in powers, demographics, etc - before you ever get into candidate quality. Well in this game, fundamentals advantages the Dolphins by 3 TDs He never completed the catch. That wouldn't have been ruled a fumble if it happened in midfield

Poor coaching by McDermott is becoming a theme

how is this McDermott's fault -

IMO Kyle Shannahan is the best coach in the league, but has a very average GM in Lynch. I'd take him -
Who Do The Bills Sign At Cornerback?

might be time to scour other teams' practice squads as well. -

We, as a nation, deserve better football analysis from fans and media. - 0 and 7 in one score games the last two seasons Random statistical noise. Those games include a magical 4th & 1 stop on an Allen sneak that 99:100 he gets. A 55 -75 MPH wind game, the topical weather + injury game where the bills were in position to win TWICE with better execution form players, which includes a blatant miss from Allen that he normally makes 99/100 times, and loss to the freakin Jags where we couldn’t score against Urban Meyere, and I’m sure other random crap. - Challenging a clear Titans catch last week was indefensible Yea that’s on the coaches upstairs - Not challenging a potential Gabe Davis TD this week was indefensible because it wasn’t a catch - Playing shallow coverage on 3rd and 22, allowing TWO seperate receivers to get open deep, is indefensible wasn’t a shallow zone, our inexperienced safeties were baited by a pair of elite speed WRs including Tyreke Hill. That was a perfectly called play - Not having your WR’s ready to go down with enough time to spike the ball You wanted him to go down outside FG range with almost no time left on the clock? - Don’t even get me started on 13 seconds perhaps - Our inability to win short yardage situations for several years is indefensible. Sure it is, we don’t put a bunch of salary cap space into our interior line - we get average to above free agents and deep draft picks and hope they can collectively perform better as a group. We don’t have a si by let first rounder on the OLine or RB. Heck we only just drafted our first 2nd round RB this year under this regime. Instead they put their resources into the DLine, corners, LB, WR and QB. That is going to have consequences, one of which is struggling with NFL DLines on short yardage. But that’s also why you have Josh Allen and a bunch of excellent route running WRs and backs. I’d also bet dollars to donuts thag this offense ranks really high in 3rd down conversations and red zone conversations - We as a team seem to have removed QB sneak from the play book. We never run it. Ever. See this tweet for how I feel about that. Hard to think that’s not a directive from the top, seeing that two separate OC’s refuse to call it. First of all that’s just inaccurate, seeing as one of those close losses came on Allen not getting a sneak and in that very game we were shown statistics at how good Allen is at that. This year we haven’t done it as much because almost every time we’ve been in 3rd and a long 1 or even 2, and that’s not a sneak situation. And finally, Because you don’t need to risk your 40M QB on sneaks. -
Allen = Cam is a perhaps the dumbest comp I can think of, other than both of them being large human beings who can throw a football and run. Allen is a better athlete, and has more arm talent. Cam, when healthy, was a much more of a finesse passer than Allen’s howitzer. As for the rest, I mean we have so much data in NFL history that close game wins/losses are statistically random and everything eventually reverts to the mean of the population. There’s almost nothing intrinsically different from what Buffalo does in close games than other teams do. I mean 99% of the time Josh scores on that drive against the Titans last year, and the Bills TWICE had opportunities to win in the end yesterday. Sure Allen was exhausted, but he ran like 5 times. He was exhausted because it was a million freakin degrees and the Phins were bllitzing like their lives were on the line. The whole thing is farcical

To do what? It's pretty easy to layer up and have things like bone broth, heated seats, etc to keep players safe even in the coldest games.

What’s the problem? Allen’s probably never been that exhausted post game and these NFL players view each other as brothers Don’t think they roll but think they win. -

That’s a good football team. Well coached with elite players at WR and in the secondary, and yes a very good QB Thats fine because the Bills have a better QB and can match up to their roster but it’ll be a good game the 2nd time around
