  1. Bitter fingers never swung on swinging stars, swinging stars I like the warm blue flame, the hazy heat it brings It loosens up the muscles and forces you to sing

  3. Get up off your knees You can wag your finger till your finger's sore Shake your head till it shakes no more Paupers will be paupers, bankers will be bankers Some own pennies in a jar, some own oil tankers What may sound like tomorrow could be ours today There's no more need for sorrow if we get off our knees to pray
  4. Never saw it coming. That was a horrifying 90 seconds.
  5. What type of compensatory pick would be due if the lost free agent is offered free sex for life?
  6. The reality is that comments like this are a big middle finger to Josh. Josh is not Jack Eichel. The organization does not exist to try to pacify him. That is why Josh > Jack and we don't need to worry about him throwing tantrums. Let Beane do his work. You don't go to camp in March and you don't go to camp with 50 guys all written in ink for roster spots. Josh also has about 240 million reasons to understand the constraints that Beane is forced to operate within. I suspect that instead of seeing middle fingers, he understands that the list of OL backups and camp bodies will not look like a Pro Bowl roster.
  7. I can recall a number of times watching Dolphin games last year when this guy really stepped up. He is a solid addition. Great under the radar signing!
  8. S Diggs just unfollowed you.
  9. This "Beane Is A Bum" mentality is truly bizarre. We are coming off of our 3rd division straight division title and 3rd straight year of winning at least 1 playoff game. Fans are upset with the lack of transformation of the roster that accomplished this and we are just 4 days into free agency. I look around and yes I do see division rivals making moves. Personally, I am glad that we are not the team that feels compelled to take some of those risks. I find it natural that the team that won its division by FIVE games would be looking for lesser change, than their rivals trying to make up for that sizable gap. Let the Jets roll the dice on the prospect of Rodgers having a good trip this year. For Aaron, last year's trip didn't seem too euphoric for anyone with fortunes closely tied to it. Let Miami take on Jalen Ramsey. He's been a real difference maker vs Josh hasn't he? Last year, their big move was to add "Bills Killer" Tyreek Hill. And they still lost 2 of 3 to Buffalo including playoff elimination for their efforts. Let them figure out what to do at QB if Tua works out, or if he doesn't. They are screwed either way. If they pay Tua, what do they have to sacrifice among Hill, Waddle (who will want to be paid big $) Chubb, Ramsey, Jalen Phillips, Wilkins etc... The point being that all of our division rivals would trade places with us, no questions asked. Our future is simply brighter than theirs, and they would love nothing more than to see us panic and start making wholesale changes. And I am very OK with a secondary of Poyer, Hyde, White, Elam and Jackson. C'mon man... Back away from the disappointment of the playoff loss and get real. Cincinnati? Now there is an offseason to be concerned with. They have lost both safeties. They have swapped one unhappy LT for a more expensive malcontent. They have lost Hayden Hurst and they still haven't even begun to deal with Burrow or T Higgins. And their ownership group isn't know for throwing around even well deserved extensions. They just signed CODY FORD. Must be good times ahead in the jungle there. Their window will be short. And the reality of KC is that life is going to be easier for them as long as they have 15, just like is was for NE when the had 12. That doesn't mean we need to panic. We have held our own competing with them. It doesn't get easier, but that doesn't make Beane a bum for failing to have a magic wand to erase that reality. Wake up. This is NFL 2023. There is no football entitlement.
  10. Go back and read the first five words of the title of this thread. They make your reply completely irrelevant. That may make this thread the clubhouse leader for thread of the year.
  11. There are places I'll remember All my life though some have changed Some forever, not for better Some have gone and some remain All these places have their moments With lovers and friends I still can recall Some are dead and some are living In my life I've loved them all

As I lay upon my bed, I begin dreaming Of how it's gonna be, the day that I am free Once I settle like the dust upon the table But then you came along You helped me write this song I don't know what day it is I can't recall the seasons I don't remember how we got this far All I know is I'm loving you for all the right reasons In my sky you'll always be my morning star

  15. The old NFL was great. It's the foundation that all of this grew from. But l think that we sometimes put on rose colored glasses when we look back. With respect to game presentation, it's always been tied to current pop culture to a large extent. I trust that plenty of older fans back in the 80's didn't care for LA Raider highlights choreographed to Duran Duran's "Wild Boys" or commercial fade outs to "Do The Hustle" or "TSOP by MFSB" back in the 70's. Disco sucked! Remember? What could have ever been more cringe worthy than Creed flying around on cables performing at halftime of a Thanksgiving game, if memory serves? The point is, of course the presentation of the game will evolve with the culture that it is grounded in. I don't remember my father being upset or becoming disinterested because Frank Sinatra and Glenn Miller were not pregame or halftime staples in the early 70's. I do remember bars and restaurants holding events to allow fans to throw bricks at a television sets as Howard Cowell droned on. People lost their minds over him with an intensity that made our relationship with Chris Collinsworth look like a love affair. Nothing has changed here folks, just our perceptions as we age. Does anyone remember the Steelers Super Bowl victory of the Seahawks. There were probably five calls more egregious than the call at the end of the game Sunday. How about Nickel Robey in NFC championship game a few years back. I remember a regular season game back in 2020 when the Bills got a super shaky PI call in the closing seconds to beat the Rams. Hell, if I go back in my memory far enough, I can remember screaming my brains out at Rich Stadium because a Randy McClanahan interception that would have ended "The Streak" against Miami was ruled an incompletion despite what we were all convinced that we saw on the dot matrix replay on the monochromatic scoreboard. There's always been questionable calls and always will be questionable calls because they are JUDGEMENT calls made subjectively by human beings, not a one of which has ever been graced with perfection. 17. Doctor, my eyes have seen the years And the slow parade of fears without crying Now I want to understand I have done all that I could To see the evil and the good without hiding You must help me if you can Doctor, my eyes Tell me what is wrong Was I unwise to leave them open for so long?

  20. I'm flying in Winchester cathedral Sunlight pouring through the break of day. Stumbled through the door and into the chamber, There's a lady setting flowers on a table covered lace And a cleaner in the distance finds a cobweb on a face And a feeling deep inside of me tells me This can't be the place
  21. Almost cut my hair It happened just the other day It's gettin' kinda long I coulda said it wasn't in my way But I didn't and I wonder why I feel like letting my freak flag fly Yes, I feel like I owe it to someone Must be because I had a flu for Christmas And I'm not feeling up to par It increases my paranoia Like looking at my mirror and seeing a police car But I'm not giving in an inch to fear 'Cause I promised myself this year I feel like I owe it to someone When I finally get myself together I'm going to get down in that sunny southern weather And I'll find a place inside to laugh Separate the wheat from the chaff I feel like I owe it To someone, yeah RIP David Crosby 😪

  24. Hey Jude, don't be afraid. You were made to go out and get her. The minute you let her under your skin, Then you begin to make it better. And anytime you feel the pain, hey Jude, refrain, Don't carry the world upon your shoulders. For well you know that it's a fool who plays it cool By making his world a little colder
