  1. I'll admit it took guts for a first time GM to come in and almost immediately get rid of some (Dareus, Watkins, Darby, Ragland) and completely alienate other (Glenn, Miller, Taylor) very talented players who were key parts of past teams, but that doesn't mean it was smart. They could come out of this draft with absolutely nothing and it wouldn't be a shock to anyone because Mr. Beane has proven nothing in this league so far. I don't know how much Beane had to do with the Panthers last few drafts, but I hope not too much because I don't see many above average players drafted recently. They drafted for need rather than BPA it seemed. They made lots of boom or bust reach picks, that's a great way to blow some extra draft picks quick.
  2. 12.5 sacks in the NFL luck? Not sure I should be trusting your judgment too much now for a few diff reasons
  3. 12.5 sacks mostly rushing the passer in 2016 Bills near the bottom of the league in sacks this year and have one legit pass rusher in 55 (at most) McDermott: hey you know what would be cool? Lets put Alexander in coverage 80% of the time Everyone: Why? McDermott : something, something, something process The end
  4. The loss to the Jets on Thursday was the low point of my sports week obviously but I had to remind myself where we are in the grand scheme of things. When this season started, Beane could have come to knock on my front door personally and tell me this team was not tanking and I would have called him a liar to his face. What didn't dawn on me until a few weeks into the season is the GM can tank all he wants this coach and these players want to win. I've watched intently every week as usual and have been pleasantly surprised but never overly excited about this season until after the Raiders game last week. Everyone on my TV talking about playoffs and how this team finally arrived felt like a jinks for this team that is all heart with little top-tier talent, but that did not stop me from taking the plunge last week and for the first time this season I guzzled the kool-aid and told myself if they win the Jets game we are definitely going to the playoffs. So obviously we lost and I felt like a moron for going against my better judgment. This morning it hit me, in 1988 the Bills had their first winning season since 1981. We had an extremely young core of talent that no one at that time would have guessed was filled with so many HOFers and would be soon headed to multiple super bowls. The important thing was that Levy had those guys playing like a team and believing in each other and it showed. Nothing much had happened yet, but the feeling in the air was just different just like it is now. We may make the playoffs we may not but I'm taking the rest of this season with a grain of salt because either way this is not our year. No matter what the wins and losses say at the end of the season we are closer than we have been in a long time.
  5. All im saying is that its extremely cowardly and lame to call a group of men "muscle bound retards" and "inmates" unless you would do it to their face. Im just offering this guy the opportunity to clarify who are the real men, the guys who ball out every Sunday or this guy. If you don't like it, don't like it you have that choice. Just like kneeling, rasing a fist, boycotting the NFL, or pretending like none of it is happening and just watch the game. All choices offered by the laws of the USA
  6. so choose too and go do it record it and post it and come here and tell us where we can find it. I call BS prove me wrong you dont need to be afraid to be put in your place.
  7. You have so much to say I guarantee if one of those "muscle bound retards" were within 100 feet of you you would be quiet as a church mouse unless you were begging for an autograph. These are men who smash into other men in person not talk tough over the internet behind a psuedo name and an icon. The owners understand what you are not bright enough to understand which is if this is not handled properly then you wont be having games on sundays at all. If you really have so much to say I can tell you where you can have the chance to run your mouth to one of the "inmates" in person so someone in their circle can quickly put YOU in your place.
  8. In my opinion... Fixed I remember right before the draft there was all this Christian Mccaffrey is getting a raw deal because he is a "white" running back talk. It didn't get half the sarcastic nonsense and vitriol that topics like this get and will continue to get. The hard truth is that people have biases that they don't realize that they have on both sides of every conversation about race. People speak from their experiences and look at things from their own perspective. There will never come a day that the world is completely free of biases related to race but hopefully one day the majority of people will accept that there are things that other people go through that you don't completely understand and cant speak on in any definitive way. Its not because your a bad person but because your perception of someone else reality is incomplete. Seriously, how arrogant do you have to be to tell another man who you don't know what HE is or is not going through? It's ridiculous
  9. The most interesting part of these conversations is watching how the people who are against the cause respond. To me its like being against player wearing pink gloves during Breast Cancer Awareness. I don't have breast, not a big fan of pink in general, but at the very least I can shut up and let the people who care about it most have their moment. The fact that someone else has a cause that you disagree with shouldn't create these strong negative feelings that they do. What would it be like if 80% of the players in the NFL got involved? That's what you will quickly find out if you start doing things like this. I hope Bills management is smarter than the average poster and understand that this is getting bigger not smaller. If you want good free agents to consider coming here in the future don't shoot yourself in the foot by making simple minded decisions and/or comments.
  10. If those guys go down it will be because they dug their own grave. You certainly don't expect someone who stopped reading their stuff because of their constant negativity to turn around and pay them to read the same stuff. In my opinion in the last 3-5 years if your not a frustrated Bills fan looking for someone to confirm that you have a valid reason to be bummed, there really is no reason to go to them at all. They may have gotten better by now but I wouldn't know because I'm not giving them my $3.
  11. draft picks don't mean crap. At least half of the guys they draft will be busts no matter what. I'm just going to tell myself that Sammy is coming back in free agency next year to make myself feel better.
  12. You call these people fans? More like miserable spectators who need a vent for their horrible existence. Anyways, I think this is being completely misinterpreted.
  13. The hate is strong in this one it's pretty clear that this is personal for you. I would say I wonder why but I actually don't. At the end of the day, he got paid great money to do a job on a team that you are a fan of and possibly pay money to see. When your in a position like that there will be people who approve of you and people who dont but you come across as obsessed and the level of negativity that comes from you daily says a lot about the person you are and the life that you and YOUR family must have dealing with you. He made the Buffalo News look stupid by cutting off their access because of their constant negativity and this their lame attempt at payback but just as in your case it says more about them than it does about a long gone ex-GM who still has you deep in your feelings. The only people who make comments like this are people who never seen anything close to a million and never will.
  14. The Pegulas are officially the worst owners in professional sports. They have not gotten one single thing right so far. They can't hire a coach but now they have two GMs and a coach to hire at the same time. Thanks to them McDermott is the new target for everything that goes wrong and I don't see him lasting 3 years. Rex only lasted two and he actually had coaching experience and was not considered the defacto GM by the fans and the media. Buffalo sports ALWAYS needs a scapegoat and now McDermott is that guy thanks to the Pegulas. Wouldn't it have been nice to just give the guy a chance to be a successful coach without all the extra pressure? BTW who hires a coach and then hires a GM after? Hopefully, this was planned out in advance and whoever is the next GM had some say in the hire but I mean were talking about the Pegulas here so I doubt it. At this moment Eichel doesn't even want to resign here and why should he? This is all amateur hour right now and the only thing that can save it is a playoff run for the Bills and the Sabres. Anything less and the wheels fall completely off in a way they have not since the 80's.
  15. I'm drunk? I'm not the one paying out 30 million to people who no longer work for me. Not drunk at all but thanks for your brilliant contribution

  17. I am I won't lie I am and I'm also exhausted and sad that this is the big topic after a great draft. I was a fan before and ill be a fan after. I just realize I'm not a fan of some of the fans or owners. I'm done with this topic. As long I get to watch a playoff game on the big screen and enjoy some wins with my family on Sunday ticket this year that's all that really matters. No good can come from all this negativity and low vibes. This is not a healthy place in general
  18. I would still want to know who the source is. Is it someone from the team or media? Is he known for breaking news about the Bills?
  19. MaddcharileVerifiedaccount @maddcharlieNFL im told my Grandmother is making all the moves in Buffalo ..... shes running this draft so what who is the source?
  20. What sources? So you honestly believe that from January until now McDermott scouted every draft prospect, did evaluations on the entire current roster, and did his job as head coach. I just cant have these convos anymore. I just want the team to win very very soon. I predict if they don't things will get worse than they have been in a really long time and that's hard to do. Pegulas have good intentions but they are doing too much at the same time and things are looking very sloppy right now. Tomorrow or Monday should the GM leave it's officially a low point in recent history for both the Sabres and Bills
  21. Whoever believes that he had anything to do with the draft other than giving his opinion and whoever thinks that he should have any say whatsoever in who the next GM of this team is. Go back through the comments and its not hard to find those people.
