My team, the Toronto Maple Leafs are the ones that just landed Babcock. Babcocks coaching won't make much of a difference with their current roster of players. A turnaround for the the Leafs will come in the form of a rebuild and getting better players. Sabres will be fine without Babcock. Not a big deal.

Agree. Salaries are much lower in hockey for coaches because they don't mean as much in that sport.

I think the Leafs still want to hire a GM. Leafs Nation who are IMO one of the worst fanbases in the sport and with the media will be going bonkers if it isn't a quick fix. The casual fanbase will think Babcock = playoffs next year. I don't think that will be the case unless there is a massive overhaul to the roster. I agree with you, with an 8 year contract no need to cut corners on a rebuild but I don't think the fanbase would entertain that. Hopefully Shannahan has the stones to be patient.

As a Leafs fan I am happy that we got Babcock. However the leafs massively overpayed for a coach in a sport (unlike football) where I think coaching doesn't make a huge difference in wins and losses. I don't expect Babcock to magically fix the leafs. Leafs just need better players.

Thinking of starting Deadwood. I like to purchase actual Blu-ray boxsets so does anyone have strong opinions, positive or negative on this show? Is there better quality shows to invest time and money into? I have finished and enjoyed shows like Breaking Bad, Boardwalk Empire, House, Sopranos, The Wire, Sons of Anarchy, Mad Men, True Detective.

I expect a lot of power running up the gut, toss sweeps, misdirection (reverses). Play action to TE's down the seam and in the flat on 3rd and short, RB and WR screens, quick slants, quick outs and the occasional shot down field for that big play.

They might play in worse weather at home than on the road. Perhaps the cold, snow etc are factors. Who knows? Even then they fumble way less than any other team in the NFL and they are the only ones accused of purposely deflating footballs and deflation is proven to give you better grip on a football.

The fumbling statistics from 2007 to present day lead me to believe it is not a myth and there is certainly an advantage they have gained.

In terms of being illegal yes, but it is a myth that cork gives the player extra distance/power than a standard bat. In fact it's less. Deflating footballs gives the QB as well as anyone else who touches the football an advantage. There is no advantage to corking a bat.

Lance Armstrongs BPM are at around 30-35 for a cyclist. For the average person they would be hospitalized and when hooked up to a heart monitor it would be going crazy and it would show a flat line with a little blip every so often. Unless you are a doctor it's hard to say about the body fat thing. Things are different for athletes who train for specific things vs. us the average individual.
