Shady trade will really set this team back
BuffaloBillsForever replied to enlightener's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
With the McCoy trade I think of Jose Reyes for some reason. -
2015-16 Buffalo Bills Negative Thread
BuffaloBillsForever replied to Canadian Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Cassell starts, McCoy gets hurt, Clays a bust, Harvin complains and the Bills go 8-8 and miss the playoffs for the 16th straight year. -
Your last meal....
BuffaloBillsForever replied to Canadian Bills Fan's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Bottle of No. 3 Gin, bucket of ice and a lemon. Roasted beef bone marrow, toasted croissant, sea salt. Buttered papperdelle, braised beef short ribs, romano cheese and black pepper. 1 pound lake erie perch, onion rings, tatar sauce. Peameal bacon on a white toasted bun, melted processed cheese, mayonnaise, lettuce, tomato and onion. Slice of a double cheese and pepperoni Bocce pizza. -
Omlet - need a new different recipe.
BuffaloBillsForever replied to mead107's topic in Off the Wall Archives
All you need for an omlette is butter, salt, pepper, eggs, chive and a cheese of some sort, no colour on the egg and in a fat cigar shape on the plate. Any other ingredients should be cooked separate from the eggs and should be added AFTER the egg has set (then formed into the cigar type shape). No colour. I know it's a B word. -
Best pizza in the States...Poojer?

I tried Bon Appetites recommendation of spreading mayonaisse on the outside of the bread for making a grilled cheese. I would never do that again. -
Best Breaking Bad Episodes?
BuffaloBillsForever replied to BuffaloBillsForever's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Every scene in the junkyard with Larry Hankin in Breaking Bad was incredible. Junkyard Joe messing with Hank about "the law" in an attempt to delay him to get into the RV. The scene where the RV gets destroyed is awesome television as well. That was at the end of Face Off and you see the Lilly of the Valley plant on the pool deck. -
Best Breaking Bad Episodes?
BuffaloBillsForever replied to BuffaloBillsForever's topic in Off the Wall Archives
The episode didn't jive or just "fit" with me either but it makes sense now when learning that creative was forced because of budget concerns. I'm sure "The Fly" would have never existed otherwise. -
Best Breaking Bad Episodes?
BuffaloBillsForever replied to BuffaloBillsForever's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Fly is my least favorite episode. The production was suffering budget problems at the time and the easiest way to save money was to shoot an entire episode in a single location/set with the least amount of actors as possible. -
Just finished watching them for the 3rd time, this time with the commentary and close captioned for dialogue...lol. This is how I would rank them. Can't decide on the order just yet. ...And the Bags in the River (S1 EP. 3) - Bologna sandwich/broken plate realization. Grilled (S2 Ep. 2) - Walt/Jesse kidnapped by Tuco and the dynamic with wheelchair bound Tio. 4 Days Out (S2 Ep. 9) - Marathon cooking session that ends up going wrong with a dead RV battery. Box Cutter (S4 Ep. 1) - Gus Fring sending a message in the super lab after the murder of Gale. Hermanos (S4 Ep. 8) - Back story of Tio (Hector), Gus and their controversial past. Salud (S4. EP. 10)- Gus and Mike take on the cartel in Mexico unknowingly to Jesse who is there to cook for the boss. Face Off (S4 Ep. 13)- Literally. Live Free or Die (S5 Ep. 1) - Magnets! Dead Freight (S5 Ep. 5) - Epic train heist and one of the most expensive episodes in the series. Ozymandius (S5 Ep. 14) - Uncle Jacks crew and the conclusion to Hank and Gomez Notables: Negro y Azul, Half Measures, ABQ, One Minute What do you think are the best episodes of the series?

I wouldn't put any stock into friendly match results.

Anyone have a tankless water heater?
BuffaloBillsForever replied to Rubes's topic in Off the Wall Archives
IMO tankless water heaters suck, Suck, SUCK! Higher up front cost Technicians are not nearly as educated about them. Finding someone to fix them can be a real pain Requires maintance such as descaling You have to run the water a while before the water gets hot (much longer than a tank water heater in my experience). I wasted more water with a tankless I've experienced regular cold water sandwiches while taking a shower (hot shower turns into cold shower then the water gets hot again) Now there are hybrid systems which hold a small water reserve in a small tank. Those are the way to go if you are insistent on a tankless. It should eliminate the problem with cold water sandwiches but they are more $$$$. IMO tankless systems serve a real purpose for European homes where real estate is at a premium. -

Bylsma will be more successful than Babcock at each of their new jobs and will save Pegula millions out of his own pocket in the process. In a few years Babcock will kicking himself that he didn't take the Sabres job. Babcock is fools gold IMO. Good hire by the Sabres. -

The Toronto media whittles their coaches to a nub especially when the media thinks the coach can literally change the team to a winner.. He is in for a shock. Toronto is one of the least preferred destinations to high calibre free agents. -

The scenerio in Toronto is fascinating because his past NHL teams have been handed to him on a silver platter right from the start. He has never had to face adversity in his 12 year coaching career or have experience in a rebuild and he is going to one of the most ruthless hockey markets now in which the roster and farm is a mess. It will be interesting to watch how this all goes down. -

We had 3 highly touted coaches prior that were supposed to rebuild and change the culture as well. I just look at "change of culture" as buzz words that mean nothing. -

BuffaloBillsForever replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in Off the Wall Archives
That's not the point I am trying to make. He inherted one of the best rosters ever and farm systems at developing players. Now he is inherting a bottom 5 roster with the 19th farm system in terms of talent that has proven over time they can't develop their own. I don't think this will translate as well as people think. -

Look at the roster when Babcock took over the Red Wings. It's one of the most talented rosters in the history of the sport. That 6 mill + per/year is largely thanks to the front office of the Red Wings. Major coattails. Chelios, Datsyuk, Holmstron, Lindstrom, Legace, Osgood, Samuelsson, Schneider, Shanahan, Yzerman, Zetterberg, Draper, Lang. He was also the beneficiary of coaching for the Ducks who were IMO the 2nd best front office during that early 2000 period. -

I sense phony people well. It just raises a red flag about him. I had Marrone pegged day one while every one else was saying how great of a coach he was and how he was changing the culture. The Leafs front office is nowhere near the calibre of the Red Wings. I just don't think this move is a homerun as everyone is making it out to be. -

Was just watching Sportsnet (Toronto's flagship sports station) and they had Babcock on. He said the process wasn't about the money. Okay? He can't even admit to it that money played a factor. I have no problem what he did but IMO why lie about it now that money wasn't a deciding factor between detriot, TO and BUF. He was never interested in the Sabres, why negiotate a contract in which the sole purpose was to up the asking price so he could squeeze every last penny out of the Leafs. As a Leafs fan I was left with a bad feeling after listening to him. -

Don't forget Babcock worked for the brightest front office in hockey during his tenure. Their drafting and ability to develop and acquire talent is legendary and what made Mike Babcock, not the other way around. I would equate their front office and how they draft and develop players into winning teams to that of the St. Louis Cardinals.
