  1. So my question is that the Bills have been contemplating this since Feb/March so why cut him now? Really bad optics on the timing here.
  2. It is not a surprise as it has been speculated before, just the timing leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
  3. Leroi called this 5 months ago. Bills should have cut him then as opposed to a week or so before the season starts. Not a fan with how this went down.
  4. Yeah I am. In this case with WGR and sports radio "controversial" is having dissenting sports opinion. There is no negative association unless there are sexist, racist or homophobic remarks that are being spewed. In your case you are making a stink because you don't agree with the opinions by the people of WGR. You are the one that is missing the point.
  5. Yup, the ONLY time advertisers will feel pressure to pull advertising is from backlash from either sexist, racist or homophobic remarks made by someone at a station. "Popular" and "controversial" go hand and hand with ratings.
  6. Simon has penchant for starting threads that have already been covered ad nauseam just like with Lee Evans back in the day. If you would have started it, likely would have been shut down by a mod. There are like 3 zillion EJ threads.
  7. The Sirius NFL talk is pretty bad most of the time but you know what? I still listen to it on occasion.
  8. This quote from Howard Stern sums it up. The average radio listener listens for eighteen minutes. The average Howard Stern fan listens for - are you ready for this? - an hour and twenty minutes. The average Stern hater listens for two and a half hours a day.
  9. The bolded is all you can do really. Ratings/listeners hearing their ads are the only thing that matters. The ironic thing is by the OP posting this thread he is actually doing a service to WGR.
  10. There are always complaints no matter what. So why would a company pull their add from the most highly rated radio station in Buffalo to put it on a message board where the majority people using the web use ad blocking software? I don't see a single ad on this forum and never will.
  11. Why on earth would any of these local companies pull their advertising from the most listened to sports radio station in Buffalo?
  12. Because they derped about a small sample of size of bad kicking.
  13. No issues here but I am running all custom, recent hardware with a 4k monitor. I did have to update my driver for my ethernet adapter from the manufacturer and NOT the windows version. BTW you can strip down that "tablet" windows interface. I have fully customized the start menu and taskbar. Mine feels like the 2015 version of windows 95. There is no tablet feel to it at all.
  14. He very well could still end up getting cut.
  15. I have never read where Leroi says he works(ed) for the Bills. Can you post me a link to that?
  16. I am very skeptical that anyone in the Bills organization would leak that at this moment.
  17. I see a way larger upside with Taylor, skillset/versatility/dynamic capability which complements the playmakers and offensive scheme the best. That is why I like Tyrod.
  18. That was the point I was making against previous. IMO that is old fashioned thinking and what I am concerned about how the coaching staff is going to look at the QB position."Vetrin presents", "can manage an offense", "minimizes mistakes" > upside.
  19. The BIG and STRONG and large hands certainly are upside attritubes but i stray away from the old school front office mentality. They are esentially upside traits of a QB that I consider at the bottom when evaluating Cassell, Tyrod and Manuel for who starts at QB in 2015.
  20. Escape ability, pocket presence, running ability (read option), accuracy, intelligence, mechanics. I see a night and day difference in their upside especially in terms of versatitly and dynamic ability in which he can bring to Romans offense. It isn't even close for me.
