A serious question, why the faith in Whaley?
Wayne Cubed replied to Kellyto83TD's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
C'mon the answer to that question is so easy to answer for "keep drafting crowd": The Eye Test. -
Works for me as well.

So how many QB's are you bringing to camp and how are you going to divide up the reps? Do you give it to the guy who's been there the longest or the new guy? What if the new guy looks good but the guy drafted in year 2 just needs a little bit of time to learn the offense? How will they get into any sort of rhythm in the offense? -
Who do you want to be named next Bills HC?
Wayne Cubed replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Generally speaking HC's, offensive minded ones, hire OC's who mirror their philosophies. Reid hired Doug Pederson to be his OC after he was with Reid in Philly as the QB coach. Mike McCarthy keeps promoting within. Clements was his QB coach for years. Ben McAdoo was his TE coach before becoming OC. It just makes their job easier if everyone is on the same page. -

I have a bit of a conspiracy theory based on what we now know about St. Doug the Confessor. Given the way he is, is it possible he knew his time in the NFL was limited. He saw that EJ would require some work and knew if he put the work in and EJ not succeed he probably wouldn't make it to his 2nd contract. Coaches that fall to develop QB's don't tend to get a 2nd chance. Therefore he gave up on EJ early as to not tarnish his reputation. Or he didn't know how to develop him.

Really? ODB was being thrown to even when he wasn't open. QB's do target receivers that aren't "open". It's about giving the player a chance even if he isn't open. And the all-22 shows Watkins was in fact open quite a bit but either he wasn't the first read or Orton didn't look to him. Being open means diddlely squat.

Polian's Advice to the Pegulas
Wayne Cubed replied to Coach Tuesday's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Middle of the road QB's look good behind good OL's? Really, thats your argument? Wow. Let me ask you this, how the heck do you know for certain the OL players are any good based on the fact that the departing coach, a former OL coach and player, was supposedly coaching them up? How come Glenn regressed? Couldn't possible be the coaching could it... nope, every player drafted either has it or doesn't, there are no coached up players. BTW, Jerry Hughes says hello. -
Did Marrone Actively Undermine Doug Whaley?
Wayne Cubed replied to Yoli's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
@C_Hairston75: Makes one wonder if we had made the playoffs how would this coaching situation have played out I think the players are pissed at Marrone. -

You do realize you've said Whaley was in on the decision to draft EJ. Funny how that works, he was in on the decision to draft a player that you've clearly had an agenda against but he wasn't in on Woods or Alonso, who were picked in the same draft. This is comical and sad. -

Yea his draft picks are horrible. I see you convienantly ignore players thag don't fit your agenda. Let's see: Kiko Alonso Preston Brown Jerry Hughes Boobie Dixon Sentreal Henderson Sammy Watkins Robert Woods All players Doug Whaley brought here. And he's added even more loads more of depth. But I'm not going to waste my time. I'm not even sure why I'm responding to this thread. -

I haven't seen 1 HC from the Collegd ranks even have a confirmed interview. Odd because it seems like when Marrone was interviewing College HC's were all the rage. -

I wish he was, he'd be my first choice. Saying that, Bevell has adapted and used lots of Malzahns ideas. The read-option pass and the double screen to name a few. I voted Bevell. -

No ones posted this gem yet? @RyanTalbotBills: I can say with 100% certainty that Marrone didn't even text his players about leaving. He texted someone in the player personnel dept. #Bills @RyanTalbotBills: This isn't a source thing. I was told by someone in the Bills organization. -

I read elsewhere on this board the OL was bad because Whaley didn't get Marrone the right players. Oh and that Marrone was a great OL coach. -

Why the hell was he listening to local radio? I bet he thought after the Packers win, WGR would be singing his praises. Haha, whoops. EDIT: Oh, and welcome to New Jersey Doug. -
O-Line and QB regression theory
Wayne Cubed replied to Superb Owl's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Or how about when the Browns were 7-5 and the darlings of the NFL, 5 of their 7 wins came against the horrible NFC/AFC South divisions.
