Depends on if that $3.5M is guaranteed or not. If it's not, the team may never pay that money. Teams always shift money, that's how most NFL contracts are structured.

Always... Except when they don't play when they are injured. According to injury reports players that have played "hurt" this season thus far for the Bills: Sammy Watkins Robert Woods Shady McCoy Charles Clay Cordy Glenn Jordan Mills Corbin Bryant Zach Brown Ronald Darby Aaron Williams Kevin Seymour Jerel Worthy Yup, sure seems common in Buffalo that players "opt out" (Honestly can't roll my eyes enough at this) EDIT: Sorry, players who have been injured and haven't played or "sat out"(not including players on IR or PUP): Marcell Dareus Sammy Watkins Cyrus Kouandjio

No offense, but even if Z. Brown got $8M a year average, I doubt his cap hit for the year would be $8M. If you look at Brandon Marshall and his $8M/year average, the cap hit for his first year is $4.5. Same thing goes for the $8M you have designated for a FA WR. So I think you could free up even more money there.

Josh Brown DV case getting ugly (update - Released)
Wayne Cubed replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Hard to not see why he didn't get the 6-game suspension based on what these reporters were able to find. Saying that, the NFL claims they weren't able to get this information in 2015 and that they repeatedly attempted to contact Molly Brown and local law enforcement, both refused to cooperate with them. Hard to say what information was available at the time. These newly released documents are bad for Josh Brown but I'm not sure how bad they are for the NFL. They weren't available to them. -
Shady injures hamstring in practice
Wayne Cubed replied to bobobonators's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Why does he have to "carry the load"? The Dolphins are still 31st against the run, the gameplan should and will be still to run the ball. They Bills shouldn't abandon the run and throw more against a team that can't stop the run just McCoy isn't in there. If they aren't able to run after attempting to, yes Tyrod will have to take over the game. -

It's football, that never happens. -
Much easier schedule? They still have 2x Pats, Bills, Ravens and Rams. That's 5 games that the teams have good defenses. And the Rams beat the team the Jets just lost to. Could they win a couple of those games? Maybe. But the likelihood of them going 3-2 out of those teams is slim, it's more likely gonna be 2-3 or 1-4. That leaves fhe 49ers, on the road and 2 Dolphins games and the Browns. I count those as games the Jets could win. Playing how they are, they could easily lose them too.

How much of Greg Romans playbook, who had never been an OC in the NFL or CFB before SF, is really John Haurbaghs playbook?

The "Rex ruined Mario Williams" crowd looks pretty silly...
Wayne Cubed replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Does anyone think that if things continue to not got well for Mario this season, that his football career is done? He didn't get a ton of action from other teams when he was let go by Buffalo and there were rumors of him slacking and now this? I know it probably a huge stretch but he'd be getting very low offers money-wise, would he take them knowing how much he's already made? -

Honesty don't get why this is the perceived stat to determine how good a defense is, is it because ESPN labels it as Total Defense? I hope you are aware that it's just Total Yards, right? It's a flawed way to look at a defense. Consider, Team A allows 500 yards and 2 TDs in a game. Team B allows 350 yards and 5 TDs a game. According to "Total Defense" Team B is the better defense. Does that at all make sense? Points win games, Team B gave up way more points. Yes the Bills are "average" in Total Yards. They are top ten in points allowed, sacks, takeaways and points per drive. Hardly average. They are playing above average at the moment, and I'd probably say they are somewhere between 9th and 11th in the league. -

Correct, last year. EDIT: And obviously it wouldn't have helped other payers get sacks if a player like Mario, you know, actually tried. Nah. -

No, no it was the two-gap scheme. I read it here about every time this subject was brought up. He was asked to do too much, players can't get sacks in Rex's scheme. Of course it's now because Rex was calling the plays, now that Thurman is, it explains it all. -
I didn't see it on YouTube at first lol.

That's exactly what I was thinking. Not sure how speculating on an injury compares to the start of an entire sports season.

Kaepernick to start on Sunday
Wayne Cubed replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Will they defend that much differently? Gabbert, although not considered a running QB, has the most rushing attempts for QBs. So the Bills know the QB is going to run. Chip is again running the fastest offense in the NFL, so the Bills know they are going to be quick. I think the Bills pretty much know what they are going to get in terms of Offense from the 9ers, the only thing Kaep brings is being a better runner. Still, there is film on both Chips offense and Kaep, so you would think none of this should come as a surprise to the Bills. -
They had no business winning that game
Wayne Cubed replied to TPS's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Being at the game must have skewed my perception but I never thought they were going to lose the game. You could tell Rams fans knew it as well. -
I only had a problem with 1 rams fan, who once the game was determined, decided to start pushing me around. He was jawing all game long. It was actually pretty funny how butt hurt he got when he knew the Rams were going to lose. Or maybe it was the Goff jersey he bought that upset him?
-
Not even close. There were sections without anyone in them. Saying that, id say there were about 20k Bills fans there.
-
Yea, they are having a music/party thing from 12-6 for all the Bills fans visiting.
