In response to people hating on my CB grades, I think many of you just think the Bills have good corners because the Bills media likes to say they have good corners, and are not able to objectively evaluate talent. McGee is a solid player. He's not an elite corner but any team would be happy to have him on their roster. He's also about to hit 30. Florence is a serviceable nickel back, who is also about to hit 30. The rest of them have combined for only four career interceptions. McKelvin might break out this year, but so far has been a huge bust. Compare what he has accomplished in the league to Rodgers-Cromartie (who we should have taken instead). Youboty is complete garbage, and Corner is not much better. So basically you have a solid corner and a decent nickelback at the end of their careers, and nothing else. Grade: C+

The NFL players wouldn't want to do it because they wouldnt be getting paid much and could risk injury and there is no upside for them, just a chance to get embarassed. The college players wouldn't do it because it could hurt their draft stock to have a bad performance against a tough pro or else get injured. The whole thing is just a dumb idea.

In response to the quarterback situation being perhaps the worst in the NFL: Yes these are fair points and these are all examples of teams with marginal quarterback situations. However, just because other teams have trouble at QB doesn't somehow make the Bills situation better. The Bills still have no talent at quarterback. Do you really think the Bills will finish with more passing touchdowns this year than all these teams? Maybe one or two at best. I gave the running backs and safeties good grades, so I'm not trying to hate. It's not the current regimes fault the previous management left them with a team that didn't have a lot of talented players. Hopefully Buddy and Chan turn things around, but they inherited a bit of a mess.

I will root just as hard for the Bills as anyone on game day. Just because they are no good doesn't mean I don't support them. I hope they win! I simply understand they are a very bad football team.

Quarterbacks: F The Bills have arguably THE worst quarterback situation in the NFL. What more is there to say? Running Backs: B+ While the Bills don't have one of the marquee backs in the league, they have a talented stable of backs that many teams would be happy with. Offensive Line: C The young guards look good, the tackles are way below average. Tight Ends: F Foschi and Stupar are terrible. Nelson is suspended, a mediocre receiver, and a liability in the run game. Wide Receivers: D Lee Evans is a solid player. He would make a nice number 2 on a lot of teams. Everyone else would fail to make the roster on a team with a good offense. Defensive Line: C+ Williams is serviceable, Stroud has a little left in the tank, and things are dicey beyond that. Linebackers: D- Poz will never live up to expectations, Mitchell is aging, and the rest are journeyman backup caliber. Cornerbacks: C+ McGee is solid, Florence is not too bad for a nickel/dime guy. McKelvin has done nothing to warrant the high draft choice as of yet. Safeties: B Stong unit on the whole, good depth. I may have graded them higher but I'm skeptical that Byrd is the real deal. Overall Team Grade: D There is some talent on this offense, but that passing attack is just plain awful. In a league that favors the passing attack more and more every year, its going to be hard for the Bills to win many games with the meager production to be expected from their passing game. The defense has some talent as well, but the switch to 3-4 highlights the linebackers who are unfortunately the weak link of the defense.

I basically hate on the Bills six days a week, and cheer my ass for them on the seventh.

As for the Madden Bills: Spiller is a beast. Stroud makes a lot plays for me. Nelson and Parrish are surprisingly effective. Edwards is HORRIBLE.

Every single team in the NFL "builds through the draft" each year. They all get new draft picks every year. Every single team in the NFL "builds through free agency" each year. They all sign new free agents every year. The Bills are just bad at drafting, and unable to sign any high profile free agents. Why would a top player want to play in Buffalo for God's sake?

In this thread we name QBs around the league that do not start for their team, yet are still better than all of the QBs on the Bills roster. This can mean more effective right now, or more upside and potential (like a top draft pick). We all know pretty much every other team has at least one QB better than Edwards/Fitzpatrick/Brohm/Brown, but how many teams have multiple QBs better than all of the Bills QBs? The main problem for the Bills at the QB position is that they have below average talent. Way below average. After watching the Redskins game, one has to admit that their backup QB (Grossman) is a better QB than anyone currently on the Bills roster.

I just want to make sure his ineptitude remains at the forefront of everyone's minds.

There is no "competition". Trent is the starter and that is that. The line is not good, but don't kid yourself into thinking Peyton Manning wouldn't find a way to win. If the Bills swapped Manning for Edwards they would get at least 4 more wins just from that move alone.

The Redskins went and got a new coach, a new quarterback, and a new left tackle. Everything looks good for them in the near term future. The Bills stink, and will continue to stink.

No one that is not a huge Bills fan would ever try to argue that Reed > Carter. Andre was amazing and it's not like it's a blowout, but the edge goes to Carter.

I think you are probably about right with some of the reasonings they had for not addressing QB/WR/OT. I just don't really personally agree with the logic.

I love the move. If he is not committed, then get the heck out. Enough is enough with the waffling. He's all used up anyways.
