  1. Well it's no secret that over the last decade the Bills have not drafted very well on the whole.
  2. I love Chris Berman. I hope you guys all have your mustaches ready for the game on Sunday. Mustache Gang Represent!
  3. Thanks! I also like the yardage bet more than the TD bet.
  4. The poetry is so good that I can't even be upset about the hate -------------------------------- Regarding the haiku format debate: OH MY GOD, have pedantic can you people be? A haiku written in English is measured in syllables in the 5-7-5 format. Our language just doesn't use moras. In Japan they also write haiku like this but hey guess what this is America so because our languages have some fundamental differences, we adopt a westernized standard. Three lines, 5-7-5.
  5. Aww just let Jimbo be a cheerleader! It is a bit predictable how he is always sunshine and gumdrops when it comes to the Bills outlook, but what the heck, he's an all time great and I really like that the fact that he is still passionate about the franchise all these years later. I'm always happy on gameday, too, when I see him roaming around down on the sidelines. You can always tell it's Jim because he's the only guy wearing camouflage.
  6. I don't know how I forgot to mention this, but whatever you do: DO NOT WEAR A ROB JOHNSON JERSEY
  7. Estro - What sportsbook is offering this bet? Does he have to exceed both 2000 yards and 12 TDs or can I wager on just the 2000 yard part?
  8. If you can't afford a new jersey, just duct tape over the name McGahee and write in Spiller. I have seen it done a million times, and while it's not the coolest thing ever it makes you look like WAYYYY less of an idiot than wearing a McGahee jersey. The rules still apply to kids. If I saw a little kid in a McGahee jersey I would honestly consider it borderline child abuse.
  9. Well just because no one else is saying it, Al Micheals has been at the top of the mountain for a long time, and deservedly so. Michaels/Madden perhaps all time greatest.
  10. Watch the America's Game installments on the Raiders Super Bowl winning teams, and tell me football players aren't trying to hurt each other. LOL that's the same thing DUCY? Why do you think they had to make rules about helmet to helmet hits? Because players were TRYING to knock the other guy out and hit them in a way that would result in a concussion. Either you don't watch much football, or you are really really bad at paying attention if you don't see defenders trying to go lay a thunderous "block" on an opposing QB after an INT. And yes, this has resulted in many penalties over the years. So it's good to hurt him just a little bit? Maybe give him a very mild concussion? Give him some very deep bruising that will hurt for several days?
  11. I wouldn't worry too much about it. The Bills defense is going to leverage the long forgotten "Five-Mississippi" rule this season.
  12. Football is a barbaric sport. I think it's funny how so many people start calling me names. Rather than actually think about an issue, just go with the herd and call me a bad person!
  13. I saw this thread title and immediately thought of Gus Johnson. That guy brings the heat! I don't love Tasker though to be honest.
  14. Flutie jerseys are obviously fine. Fans have warm memories of that fiery little scrapper! Current players are fine, former players are also mostly fine - just don't wear a jersey of a guy that was not loved by the fans when he left. Spikes jersey is okay, Clements jersey is less okay, Fletcher is marginal. Basically just don't wear Bledsoe, Losman, or McGahee jerseys.
  15. I don't go to church on Sunday and pray for the Bills to win. I also don't do any sort of weird ritualistic rain dance type of ceremonies either.
  16. Well at least someone has a touch of honesty around here. Have any of you people that are ripping me even been to a Bills game? Do you understand the mentality of the crazed fan? If someone on the opposing team gets lit up, people are cheering like crazy. Some people clap half heartedly when he gets up as some show of "sportsmanship". I was at the Ralph in the stands when news of the Brady knee started hitting people's cell phones. The news spread like wildfire and fans were literally cheering and high fiving like crazy over the news. Also, do you comprehend that multiple players suffer injuries in EVERY SINGLE NFL GAME THAT IS PLAYED? btw I'm not a troll, I'm a longtime season ticket holder.
  17. You guys need to get in touch with reality and come off this happy frappy love one another baloney. You realize that NFL players are specifically trying to give other people a concussion on nearly every down? This is a man's game, get real. After an interception, defenders always seek out the other team's QB and try to lay a cheapshot on him. Gregggg was coaching up the Saints D to specifically try to hurt Favre and others in the playoffs. If some receiver goes across the middle, they are taught to knock him out so violently that he will be afraid to ever go across the middle again. And you guys still won't address the question of whether it's okay to then root for Brady to get hit really hard where it just sidelines him for a play or two, just a minor injury? Can I root for that kind of hit? How about a hit so vicious it knocks him out for a half? A game? Or should I just root for the Bills D to gently cradle him to the ground if they manage to touch him?
  18. You are wrong. There are rare late round gems at QB, but most successful QBs in the NFL have a solid pedigree and are drafted high. Brady is the exception and not the rule.
  19. So we all probably know the name "Bills" was influenced by the legendary Wild West figure, Buffalo Bill Cody. But the team logo and mascot is not a frontiersman or cowboy, but instead an actual Buffalo. The strange part is, Buffalo Bill Cody got his name not for being friendly with buffalo, or doing cool circus tricks with them, but rather for KILLING buffalo. In fact, he once killed more then 4,000 buffalo in just eight months! So are we supposed to honor and cherish the buffalo, or kill the buffalo for its meat and fur?
  20. I like how that one fool picked Carolina on the road over the Giants. Oooooooookay buddy!
  21. I'm sure they were both surprised and upset when the Bills spent their first round pick on a RB. But that's life in the NFL - there's always young guys coming up trying to take your job.
