  1. Is it really fair to compare the Pats organization and team to that of the Bills?
  2. I hope you are right but it goes both ways too. You may need to prepare for a S*** sandwich too. YUCK
  3. (1) You don't know that for sure? (2) How do you know we will be in the position to draft a franchise QB? (3) How do you know the Bills wil draft a QB? I really liked Clausen too. I almost pooped my pants when we didn't take him at 41. However, I am not ready to proclaim him as a franchise QB. It was just one pre season game guys.
  4. Granted there are positives and it is great that we can see positives. Last year. it was hard for me to see them. This year it is less muddied. However, there are lots and lots of question marks as well. IMHO, I cannot just turn my head and ignore them.
  5. I really like our running game too. Lynch and Jackson have been solid for the most part and adding Spiller should be huge. I would argue that Dallas three headed monster of Jones, Barber, and Choice is more proven and better than ours. I really really love our secondary. I believe it to be our strongest unit on the team. Top 5 in the NFL. I'm not sold on our d line or our linebackers...
  6. Every year there is a team that surprises the fans/experts and makes the playoffs. Who do you think that team could be this year? I pick the Atlanta Falcons. I think Ryan and Turner will get back to basics and their secondary has improved.
  7. I really don't understand all the Chan Galiey hype. Perhaps, its because Dick boy was so bad? He isn't doing anything "magical" here at camp. He is teaching and stressing fundamentals, letting guys compete, and building a mindset to winning. That's what most coaches do! It may equate to winning more games but a coach still has to have talent. Man for man that is where the Bills fall short. That far outweighs any of coach Galiey's so called "magical solutions." Yes, we have plenty to be optimistic about but lets not blatantly disregard all the other aspects of evaluating a football team. Coaching albeit is important it is only one aspect to winning. I want to see the team win games before I start hailing coach Gailey as some super human coach. That's my take on things...
  8. I agree with what you have said. If I may read between the lines, it sounds as though you don't have a lot of confidence in the O line's pass blocking. If that's the case I too have my concerns.
  9. Doc, thanks for the assessment of the 49er's OL. Wondering what's your assessment of our OL?
  10. I hope he can produce on the field. If he steps it up and puts major pressure on the QB how good could our defense be? Pressure on the Qb with our outstanding secondary. We could be pretty scary. I just don't know if he can be that guy. He seems so young and "raw." He could be a couple of years away from being good to really good. Will we the fans wait that long?
  11. IMHO most fans expect production from their first round pick. Especially a top ten pick. It may not be fair to the players but Maybin"s "getting paid." I don't feel sorry for Maybin. He deserves a chance but he equally deserves the criticism. The Bills front office deserves the brunt of the criticism for drafting a "raw" and undeveloped college player. I remember an analyst (can't remember whom) on draft day saying he had "bust or boom" written all over him. Time will tell what catagory he lands in. To date, he is a bust.
  12. Very disappointing but it is no surprise to me. Injuries are part of the game whether its training camp, pre season, regular season, and or the playoffs. We are not the only team suffering injuries. Look at Denver and Pittsburg to name a few. It is impossibly to predict who will get injuried. However, it is safe to say we will have more injuries. Quite possible to some of our key players. Thats where I get nervous because the depth of this team IMHO is pretty thin. Not sure if a fan can accounts for injuries when evaluating an upcoming season? In order for us to have any chance this season we must avoid the "injury bug."
  13. Excellent post and I agree with your assessments. Just difficult to go into a season "knowing in my mind" that there is a great likelihood that the Bills aren't going to the playoffs. Kinda sucks but I will look for the positives.
  14. IMHO, the draft is always about weighing your team needs vs taking the best player available. Teams don't always take the best player available. For instance, say the Bills had Spiller as the 5th BPA and Trent Williams the 6 or 7th BPA. If both were available at pick nine it is very likely they would have picked Trent Williams. Same goes for Okung. So, I don't think your post is completely accurate.
  15. Thanks, I appreciate your post. Thanks for the "tuff love" too.
  16. Thanks for the backwards compliment. I have been trying hard not to be a dick. I think some posters are not able to forgot my past mistakes and that seems to hurt my crediabilty. Oh well, there is nothing I can do about that except to continue to remain professional.
  17. I understand what you're saying. However, IMHO, a successful offense has to be able to "stretch" the defense with a vertical passing game. I am not saying throw the ball deep on every down. The offense has to have a "percieved threat" and some success throwing deep passes. Otherwise, defenses will adjust their game plan accordingly. Haven't we seen this over the last few years. IMO, it is enough to say Gailey is going to be able to have a successful game play to overcome these deficiencies...I am very concerned about the OL because they are young, inexperienced, unproven and lack depth.
  18. Hey, I heard dicks sporting goods has trent edwards uniforms for sale. I just thought you may be interested in picking one up.
  19. Hey dog, I think you didn't understand his post.
  20. I wish you would have expanded on why you think the post is ridiculous.
