I understand what you're saying. However, IMHO, a successful offense has to be able to "stretch" the defense with a vertical passing game. I am not saying throw the ball deep on every down. The offense has to have a "percieved threat" and some success throwing deep passes. Otherwise, defenses will adjust their game plan accordingly. Haven't we seen this over the last few years. IMO, it is enough to say Gailey is going to be able to have a successful game play to overcome these deficiencies...I am very concerned about the OL because they are young, inexperienced, unproven and lack depth.
