  1. In my opinion, people voicing concern about a pre-draft measurement of any kind is just fine. A player wouldn't be getting a free pass for a known physical disability on this board either. If they did 4 bench press reps, that would be a concern, because it's one of the few ways that we have to measure ability. If a player were assisted with their bench press in college, would they get a free pass for doing 4 reps at the combine because of a known physical deficiency? There are concepts that need to be learned to succeed in a particular NFL defensive scheme. Maybe the wonderlic should be replaced by an abstract playbook style of testing. But for now, it's how player intelligence is gauged. As far as I see it, Bills fans want to see their team win, and if that means commenting about what they see as red flags in this years draft class, so be it.
  2. If you don't think stupid matters as DB, let's have a look at Leodis McKelvin who people seem to think has all of the physical tools. He's made some down right dumb decisions on the field costing the Bills wins more than once. From what I have found, his Wonderlic score was a 13/34. Link Not to mention, when he speaks during a press conference, he sounds like a dirt bike race... if he's having a smart day, you might be able to distinguish an actual word coming out of his mouth.
  3. I don't understand how last off season, people were dogging the Bills for not addressing the LT position as that was their considered by many to be their greatest need. Now all of a sudden the same LT we had then, who only played a partial season due to injuries last year, is able to shop around in FA. Was he only considered a crappy LT because he was in a Bills uniform last off season, and now that people can project him into another uniform, all of a sudden he's worth more?
  4. oh...OH.... I've got one, and man is it catchy. Wait for it........ "The Buffalo Bills!" Pretty great right?
  5. Is your 56K dial up modem ground up and in the freezer?
  6. I'm not sure exactly when it was mentioned for the first time in this thread, but it may have been when I first saw a reference to "He likes his women like he likes his coffee..." Someone beat me to the punchline, but we both posted "Ground up, and in the freezer?" I am not sure if I was late to the party or if the genesis of that line of commenting pre-dated the posts I just mentioned.
  7. Ground up, and in the freezer? Damn it, someone beat me to it.
  8. I think he knows how to be smart about what he chooses to divulge. He recently said this regarding the upcoming draft:“I think in my mind I can probably give you three areas that I think will be there at our pick,” he said. “I wouldn’t identify those because that would limit us against everybody else.” So if he's worried about letting people know what he feels will be there when we pick, I'd figure he knows how to be careful when discussing draft strategies.
  9. Any talk of Indy this year just burns my ass. Last year they had a record of 10-6 and made the playoffs. This year they have been unable to scrape together a single win thus far. In 1997 the Buffalo Bills were able to go 6-10 with Todd Collins starting 13 games and Alex Van Pelt starting 3. Antwain Smith got more carries than the geriatric version of Thurman Thomas, although Thurman got all of the starts. There is no doubt (in my head anyways) that the Colts' management talked and came to the conclusion that this needed to be the year that Peyton got his neck worked on, so they could justify sucking so bad that they could get Luck. Any team that was able to go 10-6 last year, with a QB that had such dire neck issues, should be able to pull off at least a single win the following year with a QB that has a healthy neck. I'd bet that some time in the near future, a current Colt's player will come clean and discuss the conversations regarding making sure they tank the season to get Luck. If that happens, there should be disciplinary action taken against the Colts organization.
  10. Are you expecting 20+ ypc? "In four seasons with Arizona, Larry Fitzgerald has played in 60 of 64 possible regular-season games, making 330 receptions for 4,544 yards (13.8 YPC) and 34 touchdowns. He’s fumbled four times, losing three. He was selected to the Pro Bowl in 2005 and 2007." source: http://www.sportspundit.com/football/players/2871-larry-fitzgerald

  12. Thank you! I was unaware of said app. I downloaded it, and am quite impressed. Thanks for posting!
  13. That's the guy from the Planet Fitness Gym commercials. He's a big dumb guy that walks around getting a tour of the gym saying repeatedly: "I lift things ahpp ahnd poot dem dahwn..." Then the guy giving the gym tour opens the exit door and says this is our stretching area, and the big dummy walks out saying again... "I lift things ahp and poot dem dahwn..." and the door closes leaving him in the parking lot with his jug of muscle juice in one hand. ...or you could watch the video that was posted while I typed that
  14. Put Michael Jasper in at center and run it.
  15. Is the Bills logo the only NFL logo that shows its enis-pay? Seems fitting given the O-Line nicknames we've seen...
  16. Based on how our Offense has performed in the 1st vs 2nd halves so far this year, I'd say it'd be prudent to defer.
  17. I don't think the 2nd best team in the league would fall behind by 21-3 and 21-0. I do appreciate that they've been able to overcome the deficit rather than not, and it does make for GREAT adrenaline rush inducing television....I'm just sayin'.
  18. Great write-up. Impressive level of detail and thoroughness having watched the show a few hours before you wrote this up. Good job! Thank you.
  19. Speaking of faking injuries... Maybe I'm just a jerk, but isn't this convenient? No this doesn't link to the Peter Pan site
  20. That pretty much boils it right down. Granted he seemed to run into his blockers or run backwards last year. This year he's usually moving, and in the right direction.
