  1. The Bills will not trade the #3 overall pick. They have a list of 3 players, and will select the one that is not crossed out almost immediately when getting on the clock.
  2. Crashed and burned himself to the #1 overall pick in the NFL Draft
  3. Criticize Miller and be called a troll. It's painfully typical. I don't want the Sabres to get rid of Miller. I just want him to be better than average. He's fine, he just played a bad game when an elite goalie might have stepped up. The rest of the team played worse, but you need your 'best guy' to come up huge in the clutch. The whole team quit after choking game 6.
  4. Well the coach just yanked him, so it is you that appears to have the Downs. I'm sorry I hurt your feelings with reality - everyone else here is agreeing
  5. Wow, for serious? Are you not watching them quit?
  6. Flyers vs. Medicore Miller more like. They all choked out game 6 and quit. I think a lot of this is on Ruff too. You can't let your team choke out game 6 like that and then no-show in game 7. Methinks Pegula won't like it much either.
  7. Fig Newton. It's gotta be Newton, Miller, or Dareus. Take whoever is left and don't sweat it. If it's Cam, at least it'll be an entertaining ride. It's been about a decade since we were entertaining and I'll take that over boring and irrelevant.
  8. If you're an elite goalie you just don't get nutmegged in game 7. The apologists will go nuts, and how I so wish it weren't the case, but he's good and not great. Mind you, the rest of the team has played like a bunch of quitters, bleh. They just seem so content getting manhandled.
  9. What a bunch of give-up babies. Philadelphia is so vastly superior it is crazy. Literally manhandling the baby Sabres and Ryan Miller...is he supposed to be a good goalie? Do good goalies give up fistfuls of goals every other game?
  10. Come on man, you are making yourself look foolish here. Please re-read my last post for comprehension, before accusing someone of not having their facts straight. Again, I will re-iterate for you: Never before, in the history of the NFL Draft, has a team traded a first round pick to move up ONE spot. It doesn't take a ''journalist'' to come up with a silly idea that never has, and never will happen, but one should do some basic research before telling someone to get their facts straight. Just a little learning experience for you. Cheers!
  11. Lol no. The Bengals are a bad franchise, but never in the history of the NFL Draft has a team traded a first round pick to move one spot. You'd think a 'journalist' wouldn't publish the same ridiculous 'ideas' as the delusional fans who make hundreds of 'Trade Donte Whitner and Chris Kelsay for two firsts and a third' posts every year.
  12. McCoy had a comparatively MUCH better year than Spiller, which is why MANY more people are calling Spiller a bust.
  13. The good teams that compete for championships for a decade have a monopoly on the elite quarterbacks. This is not rocket surgery. Take a chance, rather than rebuild to 7-9. The goal is to win a championship, right? The way most of you talk, you'd assume our goal is just to not embarrass ourselves. THAT is embarrassing.
  14. Don't forget kids, the Bills offense was actually statistically worse than their defense last year. You just remember it being the other way around because the way the defense failed (being dominated on the ground) felt emotionally worse than the way the offense failed (Fitz spraying the ball around wildly).
  15. And this guy isn't ONLY a member of the Cam Newton sucks a** fan club, he's the PRESIDENT.
  16. Love how people always try to be dopey and take things to an absurd level. We can make some simple, non-impactful changes to cars to make them safer, and require passengers to wear seat belts. These mandates have been utterly huge successes, and have saved literally hundreds of thousands of lives. The same can, and should be done for something as trivial as football. To allow this degree of trauma to continue without putting in place some simple, non-impactful equipment/rules changes just because "Hey! This is a blood sport!" is just hackneyed and ignorant sounding.
  17. Don't forget that the Bills offense was actually statistically worse than their defense last year. You just remember the defense being worse because they way they failed (being pounded into submission by the run) felt emotionally worse than how the offense failed (Fitzgibbons spraying the ball around wildly). In today's NFL, having an elite-level quarterback just about guarantees you that you contend for a championship for a decade. Having an elite-level defensive tackle or end is nice, but they just aren't as valuable. Not saying that any of the quarterbacks that might be available at #3 are a lock to be elite, but I personally am more comfortable trying to shoot for the moon and failing, rather than endlessly rebuilding to 7-9.
  18. Dear Bills, Please draft the best available quarterback in the draft every 2-3 years until we have an elite-level NFL quarterback. Yes, we realize that we'll risk getting some egg on our faces if they don't turn out to be good. Yes, we realize that the front office and coaching staff will be under greater scrutiny and possibly shorten their careers. But us Bills fans have finally realized that our beloved team will never return to prominence without one. Granted, it has taken us more than a decade since our last elite-level quarterback, but we finally get it. Please don't be afraid to keep trying. We're tired of endlessly rebuilding back to 7-9. Thank you. -Bills Fans
  19. You guys realize that free agents are able to pick the team that they go and play for, right? The Bills simply can not attract the first and second tier NFL free agents. Every year we complain about how our Front Office is so passive in free agency, and it makes us so mad. But come on now, you think that the Bills don't WANT Donald Jones or Cullen Jenkins? Of COURSE they do. No offensive free agent with options is going to come to Buffalo and play with a bottom-third-of-the-league journeyman quarterback. No defensive player with options is going to come freeze in NFL purgatory if they can avoid it. Most of them probably forget that Buffalo even has a team, since there is absolutely no sizzle to this team at all presently. We need Plan B. You draft a couple of exciting play makers, and find yourself a top tier quarterback and guess what? Players start forgetting about the weather and the income tax and the small media market and give you a look.
  20. His value is so high because people recognize the importance of elite-level quarterback play to NFL teams. You can take your pick from a grab bag of a dozen 300+ pound fat guys, pass rushing linebackers, or speedy receivers, but nobody comes close to equaling the impact of an elite-level quarterback. The teams that have them contend for the championships each and every year, while those without hope for a fluke playoff bid in between 7-9 seasons. The question always comes down to whether your franchise is willing to take the risk of looking foolish by selecting a quarterback that doesn't become elite. Those franchises that are scared of looking foolish are those that rebuild to 7-9 year in and year out. Will Gabbert be an elite NFL quarterback? Unlikely. It's always unlikely. But it happens. Same with Cam Newton. Take a chance and fail, or look the other way and languish in mediocrity.
  21. Whoa. So because the split is 50/50 on former players dying horrible football-related deaths and those who make it out ok, there isn't a problem? Pretty much everyone realizes now that the NFL isn't sustainable at its current level of brain trauma. The only holdouts left are those who say, "They know the risks, screw em. Let them bash their brains in until they are vegetables!". This will not fly. Same reason we are required by law to wear seat belts and why kids have to wear bike helmets. America has put a premium on protecting its citizenry, and while you personally think that everyone should have the God given right to kill themselves, that isn't how things work. And I knew that'd be the bottom line the second you dropped your "ZOMG liberal news media CNN" bomb.
  22. If one of the burning questions of your life is how much stupid can fit in one message board post, you just had a really good day.
  23. Don't forget that the Bills offense was statistically worse than the defense last year. You just remember the defense as being worse because it feels worse to get run on. If you think Newton has a chance to be a superstar, you put aside your fears and pull the trigger. Though he might just be gone at 3.
  24. Don't forget how James Hardy errrrr Marcus Easley is going to be the next superstar WR as soon as he's healthy
