Bob Marley did about a decade before Bono It starts with one chance to take a franchise QB for the first time in a decade. But heck that might mean some accountability at OBD. Can't have that. Better trade out of that spot and settle for a good DB for the rebuild into the next millennium. Oh and yes we draft a QB with less arm power than a thalidomide baby in round 5. This way OBD can say they drafted a QB but as it was a# 5 no one will lose their job if it doesn't pan out

there are no more excuses for missing on QBs. OBD is just lacking the ability and fortitude to choose a good one. KC already has good DBs. They know they are a QB away from a title. I'll take Andy Reid's record with QBs over anyone at OBD. That said maybe Dennison is a QB guru who can expand TT's repertoire. That is the only acceptable reason not to take a QB at 10. If any of this year's class go on to greatness we'll spend another generation hiding our heads in the sand.

I like the direction McDermott is taking the team but if elite CB play is not crucial for his scheme and this was a deep DB draft, why not take a QB at 1 and a DB at 2? There's nothing a great CB can do for us that approaches what a great QB can do for us. Our defense is talented and simply needed better coaching than the Ryans provided. If any of this year's QB crop comes in and lights us up they'd better hand out motion sickness bags at the Ralph. This year is already starting to feel like a tank.

at the end of the day Whaley was an old regime guy who was not of the Pegs' choosing. I think McDermott will be the guy for a long while. He must have convinced the Pegs to build the operation around his thinking . At the very least we will no longer be a house divided

You're selling him short. Roman's game plans were Pop Warner. If McD kept him its for a reason in fact he overuled Whaley to do so.
